He’s honest and brave to every fence, always looking to get to the other side without getting strong. He’s very easy to ride into a fence, with a balanced canter and a soft snaffle mouth.
Cross-country is where Darbey truly shines. He jumps everything in his path, never questions a filler or a ditch, and always keeps his ears forward, looking for the next challenge. He loves his work, and his bold, enthusiastic attitude makes him a natural eventer.
On the flat, he is well-schooled with three good paces and an uphill, balanced canter that makes him comfortable to ride. He would suit a competitive teenager aiming to move up the levels or even a mother-daughter share, thanks to his rideability and good manners.
