• JW is a lightly raced ex-National Hunt horse
• Permenant rehoming
• Eligible for RoR registration and classes

Very special home wanted for JW - permanent rehoming. No moneys will change hands unless you want rugs

Due to a genuine lack of time, I am looking for an experienced, long-term home for my much-loved ex-racehorse, JW.

JW’s registered racing name is Jacks Wish. He is a 6 and 16.2 Thoroughbred gelding, born on 15 May 2020 and currently based near Preston, Lancashire. He was homebred by my uncle and is incredibly special to our family, so finding the right person is far more important than finding somebody quickly.

He is by Jack Hobbs, out of Camillas Wish. His dam had a successful National Hunt career, winning five races under rules - two over hurdles and three over fences, as well as a point-to-point.

JW is a lightly raced ex-National Hunt horse. He was trained by Nigel Twiston-Davies and had only three starts:

• 6th of 13 in a National Hunt Flat race at Huntingdon

• 5th of 11 in a National Hunt Flat race at Bangor-on-Dee

• One run over hurdles at Market Rasen

He never raced in a chase or over steeplechase fences.

JW raced in our family’s Proos racing colours, the same colours also carried by Broadway Boy, our much-loved six-time winner and Grand National runner who gave our family some unforgettable days in racing.

As JW has raced under rules, he is eligible for RoR registration and classes, subject to the new keeper completing the necessary registration and membership requirements.

JW has spent time at the British Thoroughbred Retraining Centre and has since been carefully and patiently retrained. He is now lovely on the long reins and is sensible enough for my experienced 13-year-old daughter, Summer, to ride. I have recent videos of both Summer and an experienced adult rider, Lauren, riding him, which I am happy to share with genuine enquiries.

He has three lovely, expressive paces. His schooling is still fairly basic because I simply haven’t had the time to develop it, but we genuinely believe he has the movement and potential to excel in dressage with the right experienced person.

Summer has occasionally popped him over a fence and he has been perfectly happy to do so, but he has not been extensively schooled or produced as a jumping horse.

JW hacks very well in company with another sensible horse, but he does not currently hack alone. He needs a confident, experienced adult who understands Thoroughbreds and will continue building his confidence. He is not suitable for a novice.

A Chifney is recommended when loading, and he should be loaded by an experienced handler who understands how to use one correctly.

Medical and behavioural history

Before receiving treatment, JW could nap and become upset under saddle. He was subsequently diagnosed with kissing spines and underwent successful surgery in April 2025 at Hirds

He has since completed a careful rehabilitation programme, is comfortable through his back and moves freely. His SI is assessed and normally injected approximately once each year. This must be continued whenever clinically recommended.

More recently, JW sustained a tendon-sheath injury. This has been treated and he is now back hacking as part of a gradual return to work. His new home must be prepared to continue building his strength and fitness steadily, following physio advice and without rushing him.

His complete veterinary history will be disclosed and discussed openly with genuinely interested people. Nothing will be hidden because I want the arrangement to be safe and right for JW and his new home.

He would suit somebody wanting to enjoy hacking in company, careful schooling and developing a genuine partnership with a lovely, sensitive Thoroughbred. Any future workload, jumping or competition plans must be guided by his progress and veterinary advice. He is not being advertised as a ready-made competition horse. Although he has the potential with the right rider.

The right home must:

• Be experienced with Thoroughbreds and horses returning to work

• Be happy to hack him in company rather than alone

• Continue his rehabilitation carefully

• Provide suitable turnout and equine companionship

JW is a lovely horse who deserves somebody with the time and experience to enjoy and develop him properly. With three children and my daughter’s busy competition schedule, I simply cannot give him the consistency he deserves.

Serious, knowledgeable enquiries only, please. When messaging, please include your riding experience, intended plans for JW, location, yard and turnout arrangements.

JW can come with a fitted saddle. Either GP or Dressage but the saddles are not gifted with the horse they will come with a price

• Beautiful correct confirmation
• Works very well on the flat, snaffle mouthed for everything.
• Bold and brave to a fence.

Philip is an absolutely beautiful person inside and out. He is homebred out of our mare who is by Vangelis by Cashpoint.

He has been correctly produced with a long future in mind.

He works beautifully on the flat, snaffle mouthed. Philip has been out showjumping where is very brave and athletic to a fence. He is very polite to a fence, doesn’t pull or rush, just stays on his rhythm.

Philip has been XC schooling where he was fantastic. Never misses a beat to an any fence.

He has been hunting where he was impeccable. Super brave and very mannerly.

He loads himself on the lorry and patiently waits his turn. Super easy to have on the yard. He loves hacking although we are on a very busy road and feel he isn’t confident enough yet with very big things to go alone

Philip is the same horse every day, no hidden agenda. He is ready for a competent amateur to put their stamp on him. He would make a cracking Eventer or Alrounder.

Harri, 16.1hh, ISH by Ricardo Z, 7 year old, gelding look for a new home.

Harri is a beautiful horse in every way, always wants to be your best friend, has the temperament and personality to die for. Not clingy at all to other horses.

While with us we have showjumped to 1m BS level with him where he’s has been very straight and bold. He absolutely loves hacking & popping logs. He naturally has 3 great paces, however still is green for his age but improving all the time. Would make a top class allrounder/eventer/riding club/ pony club/ grassroots horse

He is good to catch, clip, bath, travel & shoe.

This is a sad sale as he’s quickly become a yard favourite.

Have two bases so can be tried in Buckinghamshire too.

Valiente MPRE

5yo

16.2hh

PRE (Andalusian) gelding 🇪🇸

Fully registered with ANCCE and BAPSH

📍Denholme, West Yorkshire

Beautiful, kind and trainable Spanish gelding with excellent natural balance and cadence. Sired by the world famous PRE stallion “Pearl of Peace”, Valiente was born and broken in the Uk and has only ever known kind hands so he is a fantastic, unspoilt canvas ready for someone to put their own stamp on.

He is green as is to be expected for his age but schools in all 3 paces with beautiful, floaty movement and has a willing attitude towards his work, showing a trainable nature and huge potential.

In the school, he has an established walk, trot, canter with easy transitions both up and down and he will work into a contact. He has a beautifully balanced and collected canter and moves straight and correct. He would definitely excel in the dressage world.

He is a very kind and sweet horse both on the ground and under saddle, loves to please, is very affectionate and a quick learner. No vices. Good to catch, load, travel and for the farrier etc. currently barefoot with strong feet.

Valiente hacks both alone and in company, not a spooky sort in the slightest and he is great in traffic. Safe in open spaces, he will happily canter over an open field and come straight back after. I trust him so much out hacking that I canter grass verges on the side of the road and I know he will keep me safe and stop as soon as he is asked to!

He has been introduced to jumping small fences and, as always, is willing and honest and has great scope over fences, so there’s definitely potential for him to make a really smart all rounder. He is ready to be produced into any sphere.

✅ Happy living in or out

✅ No vices

✅ Good on the ground and in the stable

✅ Turns out in a mixed herd, great to catch

✅ Good to hack alone and in company

✅ Schools walk trot canter with great natural movement

✅ Barefoot

Valiente is an exceptional young horse with a bright future ahead of him, I don’t expect him to stick around for long.

Viewings and vettings welcome, more photos and videos available on request- please WhatsApp for more info. Sorry, no lwvtb, PP or trial periods. No tack included.

Maple loves hacking & is happy alone or in company.

She is a very sweet horse both on the ground and under saddle, she feels very safe to be on. Maple likes a job and is very keen to get on with it. Her only vice is impatience - she wants to get going and doesn’t like to stand still at the start!

Piglet is a really exciting young horse, with heaps of talent and potential for the higher levels.

He has superb confirmation, is naturally uphill and is very naturally balanced. With three great paces and a particularly good canter, he shows real ability to be trained through the levels.

Piglet is working at elementary level, and competed up to novice. He has a good record with scores up to 75%. He is good to shoe, clip, catch, load and travel. I take him to shows alone.

He enjoys a varied lifestyle, with a mixture of hacking, schooling, going up the gallops etc.

Piglet is a talented horse who requires a confident, capable rider as he can be sharp. He has some minor findings on his X-rays, making this a fantastic opportunity to own a quality horse at an accessible price.

Finding the right home is important to us, so sensible offers will be considered.

With a very heavy heart, we are having to find a new home for Wayne. He is the MOST sweet natured horse- super gentle and mannerly and just a delightful person to have around.

He is a perfect nanny horse- he hacks out with my children on their ponies and happy to go at the front or at the back. Not hot or silly but just a genuinely easy person to have around.

Doesn’t need riding everyday, super with my children, dogs, bikes and the little ponies. An all round delightful guy. Defo more woah than go.

Needs work on the flat as never really done any schooling but a beautiful horse with plenty of potential and talent and a very willing attitude to work.

Could make a great all rounder for someone who can put the effort in but would equally be a super sweet happy hacker or mothers hack to nanny her kids from.

Has hunted in the past and I don’t think much would phase him.

Lovely competitive allrounder. Has heaps of successful affiliated competition experience, eventing, dressage and showjumping. A great jump + 3 beautiful paces. Very competitive and fun in any sphere. Less competing last year due to my ill health but has been kept fit and busy hacking, arena hires and a few local competitions recently.

He would love to get back to it. Not for a total novice as he is a very smart competition horse, but that said easy to do.

Super in the heaviest of traffic, good to catch, load, shoe, clip, bath etc Home more important than price so willing to consider offers. Full history known. Would suit competent teenager.

Sunny has been started slowly, carefully and correctly—every step taken the right way.

He’s been out hacking and seeing the world both alone and in company, always staying calm and completely unfazed by new sights, sounds or experiences. He’s happily ridden across bridleways and open spaces—by a tall adult rider and also a small, lightweight teenager—and his lovely steady nature stays exactly the same, whoever is in the saddle.

He’s begun his schooling already he has three beautiful, even paces, a genuine willingness to learn and natural movement that means he would absolutely excel in dressage.

He would also make a lovely all‑round riding‑club type—versatile, polite and happy and ready to further his education, rallies, fun rides, clinics etc

low‑mileage due to his age but ready to continue his education and build a wonderful partnership in his next home.

Due to his experience and age we do not feel he is suitable for beginner / novice riders. Unless he was going to be produced by a more experienced rider first.

Maggie is a stunning 4 year old mare, approximately 16.1hh at the moment. She is very straightforward and willing, she loves to work and has a great attitude. She loves to be groomed and fussed and has a lovely temperament.

Doesn't live up to the typical 'chestnut mare'!

Her breeding speaks for itself - sire is Letterland, by Guidam × Ballinvella. Dam is by Clover Echo x Parcmore Night.

She has correct and balanced paces, rhythmical, elevated trot and powerful canter, effortless jump, showing incredible potential. She was backed as a 3yr old before being turned away for the winter and has been slowly produced since spring keeping her future in mind. She has been to an unaffiliated SJ competition and behaved impeccably in the ring and warm up. Stood on the lorry patiently and was a pleasure to have there.

Now cantering round a small course and has seen xc fences, she's ready to progress with a new rider.

She would make a fantastic horse for an amateur or competent young rider to produce and enjoy, equally she has the scope and brain to progress through the levels for a professional or produce for the BYEH 5 year old classes.

No vices, she hacks alone or in company, good with traffic. Good to shoe, catch, clip, load etc.

Very smart, genuine 7yo gelding by Vivant, out of a Maximum Clearance mare.

A seriously lovely horse with a temperament to die for. Beautiful kind eye and an absolute gentleman in every way — in the stable, at home and away.

Currently jumping confidently around 1m and showing plenty of potential to progress up the levels. Although a big horse, he is light on his feet, athletic and can turn against the clock. Currently ridden by small girl rider.

💫 Easy to ride at home and away

💫 Happily works away from other horses

💫 Hacks alone or in company

💫 Travels with or without company

💫 Good to shoe

💫 Genuine, kind and uncomplicated

Would suit a competitive amateur looking for a lovely horse to produce and move up the levels, or equally would make a fantastic hunting horse — he would happily spend all day in the hunting field.

He does make some noise from his wind when stressed or particularly tired. This has been improving as his fitness has increased and this is reflected honestly in his advert. Open to full vetting.

A big, handsome horse with an exceptional temperament, plenty of ability and loads of potential. A very hard type to find. 🦄
