GARY CHES BOY aka CHESTER - 16.2hh approx, 5yro (2021) Irish Bred Chestnut gelding

Chester is a striking and quality Irish sport horse with good bone and conformation. He stands out with a beautiful flaxen mane and tail and a kind and willing personality to go with his good looks.

Since arriving from Ireland at the start of the year, Chester has been a gentleman and a pleasure to have and keep. Good with small children and dogs on a busy and active yard. He is always doing what is asked of him and only wants to please his rider.

Hacking well alone and in company over different terrain and enjoying a wash off in the local river. Proving to be sensible in a range of traffic, farm machinery to bicycles etc. Mannerly to hack in company, not strong or silly, happiest when leading but will also follow. Has done fun rides behaving well and enjoying with ears pricked!

Chester is really excelling himself in the arena, working in a good frame and going off the leg well. Comes into a contact when asked, still slightly green at times but showing a delightful attitude and willingness to learn. Well balanced paces, a lovely rhythmical canter and started flying changes over a pole. Recently partnered with a 15yro rider for Pony Club rallies doing grid-work and pole work activities.

Chester has been to local arena hires and competitions including some small arena eventing outings where he was unphased by a range of jumps and fillers, even bagging a 5th place rosette in a competitive class.
Stood on the Horsebox while another horse jumped and was mannerly around all other horses in the warm up ring etc.

Chester is a gentleman to handle on the ground, good for the farrier, easy to load and travel, tack up and untack etc.
He does require sedation to clip but this is something he could learn to accept with trust. Looking for a sympathetic hand as he can be head shy at times and a little unsure of new people until he gets to know and trust his partner. Good to catch and turn out, currently turned out but comes in regularly and has been stabled with no issues.
Chester is looking for a competent home where he can further his education and have the best brought out of him in the right hands, the videos speak for themselves showing what a genuine young horse he is and the potential he has got. A smashing sort and is sure to make a versatile and fun horse for someone.

I’ve owned Bear for 10 years.
We have competed low level BD, stay away camps, pole clinics, lightly shown hunter class, hunt rides, beach.
Hacks like a dream in company, will look after the young ones and lead in front on busy roads, he doesn’t enjoy hacking solo.
He loads and travels well in 7.5 and 4.5, he hasn’t been in a trailer.
Excellent to hot shoe, clip, plait, bath, tack up, comes to call from field.
He is a very chunky horse, he good to the aids, not for a novice as he has a lot of power.
The only reason I’m selling him is I’ve had a full hip replacement and he is too wide for me to sit central, he’s in a XW saddle.

Small Pianist (“Mac”) is a genuinely kind and versatile 9-year-old Thoroughbred gelding with a temperament far more like a Connemara. He is a real yard favourite – easy to have around, affectionate, and very much a “Labrador” type who enjoys attention and fuss.

Mac has been regularly ridden by children, teenagers and adults, proving himself to be safe, genuine and adaptable. He has attended multiple Pony Club rallies and the full Pony Club Summer Camp in 2025 with a teenage rider, behaving impeccably throughout. He has also been ridden consistently by my young teenage daughter and a teenage sharer.

He is a true allrounder, equally happy plodding along on the buckle out hacking or stepping up when asked. He hacks alone and in company and is very straightforward.

On the flat, Mac moves nicely in all three paces and is quite flashy for a Thoroughbred. He works well but would benefit from further producing to put together a more polished dressage test.

He enjoys his jumping, currently jumping 1m at home and competing at 90cm. He is willing, straightforward and will forgive a bad stride, making him a great prospect for grassroots showjumping or eventing.

Mac would be ideal for:

A mother/daughter share
A teenager moving up from ponies
Pony Club or Riding Club activities
Someone wanting a genuine, fun and affordable horse to enjoy and produce

I wouldn't want him to go to a total novice, as he is a competition horse.

He is good to catch, shoe, load (lorry and trailer) and clip (slightly sensitive but no sedation required, just patience). He is a kind, easy horse to handle and have on the yard.

He has a small sarcoid on his chest which does not interfere with tack, does not rub, and has remained stable with no impact on his performance.

Owned for the past year as part of a production project, he has been a pleasure to produce and is for sale earlier than planned due to house move and less space.

He is also eligible for RoR classes.

Mac is a genuine, fun and straightforward horse who will give his next home a huge amount of enjoyment.

Sale of much loved horse, owned since she was 4 years old.

Askoll Peter Pan and Cruising Lines. She is truly a show stopper. Never can I walk by someone without being told how beautiful my mare is!

She has a beautiful nature to match, very loving and easy to handle (My 8 year old leads her and sits on her). Loves to have her person and have a good scratch.

Works beautifully on the flat, always in the ribbons. She could really go far in the dressage field.

Bred to Jump and loves it, always honest and will give her best when you get it wrong. She has been unspoilt here so would also be great for someone wanting to start at the bottom and work their way up.

Great to hack, and loves to jump and have a canter out. For anyone New Forest based she is EXCELLENT with crab flies! Has done lots of clinics and great with the stop starting environment. She is not strong, always snaffle mouthed, no flash or martingale ever used.

She is a sports horse and therefore will only be sold to a competent home who is going to enjoy her and keep her in work.

She LOVES her stable and is at her happiest when she has her routine. Brilliant to be in alone, not bothered by others coming and going. Also brilliant to lunge, walker, load etc.

She has had a steady loving home with us, and will only be sold to a loving permanent home. (I would love to be able to stay in touch).

I purchased Taz as a blank canvas in 2023, he was un touched but gentle.
I gave him a year to settle, gain weight and mature before he was professionally broken. Since, I have done lots of hacking alone and in company. Schools well at home and been to Riding club lessons.

As a busy mum, with a demanding job and based on a dairy farm, I just can’t give Taz the time he needs to progress.

Taz is not a novice ride but he isn’t unkind in any way. He takes his confidence from the rider. He is spooky, but doesn’t do anything silly just needs gentle and confident persuasion and a calm approach. He does not respond well to a firm hand.

This horse has a bright future ahead of him, however sadly I just don’t have the time to give him the progressive education he deserves.
