Rolo is an exceptional 15.1hh, 5-year-old full Connemara x Irish Sport Horse gelding with outstanding breeding, a genuine temperament and all the attributes to develop into a top-class grassroots event horse or quality all-round competition horse.

By Tulrush Jake and out of Suckfield Bay Miss, he is registered with the Irish Sport Horse Studbook. Imported from Ireland earlier this year, Rolo spent his early years hunting and cross-country schooling before coming to England, where he has continued his education. He successfully passed a full five-stage vetting in March 2026 prior to import and has remained fit, sound and in regular work since.

Purchased to be professionally produced, Rolo has been given the time, patience and education to establish excellent foundations for his future. He has also been produced alongside a 5★ event rider, ensuring his training has never been rushed or overfaced. The result is a genuine, uncomplicated young horse with an exceptional brain, a fantastic work ethic and a willingness to please.

Despite being only five years old, Rolo has already gained a varied education through fun rides, arena hires, polework and dressage clinics, showjumping clinics, cross-country schooling and extensive hacking. He has competed successfully at Riding Club events, Combined Training and the Cotswold Cup, already achieving three top-ten placings in unaffiliated competition during his first season out. Every outing has been another positive step in his education, and he continues to grow in confidence and consistency. He is entered for another Cotswold Cup next weekend.

Rolo is an exceptionally genuine jumper. Brave, honest and willing, he confidently tackles coloured fences, fillers and all types of cross-country questions, including water, ditches, steps and combinations. He is comfortably schooling over BE90 and BE100 cross-country fences, showing excellent technique, plenty of scope and a natural desire to do his job. He is always ridden in a simple snaffle, is never strong, sharp or silly, and remains rideable in every environment. Whether asked to step up to a bigger challenge or enjoy a quieter outing, he approaches everything with the same sensible attitude.

On the flat, Rolo is strengthening exactly as you would expect from a quality five-year-old. He has three correct paces, works willingly into a soft contact and is always eager to learn. As he continues to mature physically, he has all the ingredients to produce an excellent dressage test alongside his jumping ability.

He hacks confidently alone or in company, is sensible in open spaces and traffic, and is equally happy to lead or follow. He has impeccable manners both in and out of the stable and is a pleasure to have on the yard. He is good to catch, load, travel, clip, bath and shoe. My six-year-old daughter regularly leads and grooms him, which says everything about his genuine, kind and uncomplicated temperament.

He is fully up to date with vaccinations, dentistry, farrier and worming.

Rolo is now ready for someone to continue his education and enjoy producing a very exciting young horse. He has the quality, temperament and athleticism to excel as a grassroots event horse while equally being suited to Riding Club, Pony Club or an all-round competition home. He would suit an ambitious amateur, competent teenager coming off ponies or a small adult looking for a talented young horse with a straightforward nature and a bright future.

Cloudy is a gorgeous grey Connemara gelding who wants to please and is a genuine, safe horse.

We have owned him for 4 years and have a great bond so this is a very sad sale.

Cloudy is talented at dressage and from the age of 6 has never had a score lower than 66%, with his scores in the last year being in the 70's.

He came 8th at pony club area dressage and qualified for Bicton last year, always producing a calm, rhythmical test. He has been working at prelim but is more than ready to step up to novice.

He has regularly competed at 70 & 80cm showjumping and arena eventing, coming home with lots of rosettes. He has been placed in the top ten at ODE's.

Cloudy loves hacking and would hack all day on the buckle.

Brilliant with all traffic and farm machinery as he lives on a busy lane.

He is great to school and is a very easy enjoyable ride. He has a lovely floaty trot and knows rein-back, turn on the forehand etc. He is a quick thinker and learner and enjoys polework. He is very good to ride in open spaces, never feeling out of control. The kind of horse you can trust to stop easily when going for a gallop. His first fun ride was Badminton and he was a dream.

Good to clip, shoe and will stand all day at a show. The kind of horse that pony club DC's pick for bandaging practice at rallies! Happily turns out with mares or geldings. He is great travelling in a trailer without a partition as he prefers more space. We haven't travelled him in a box before but we're sure he would be fine. Good to load. Up to date with worming, back, teeth and vaccinations.

We have had a brilliant 4 years with him doing loads of competitions including showjumping, eventing, pony club, area and pony camps with him being super throughout.

He was treated for arthritis in his hocks in 2025 and the vet confirmed he is sound and can continue all riding and competing. He is enjoying being back in work and able to do all previous activities happily.

Honest Advert!

Melody is a lovely mare, came over from Ireland at the end of last year, we believe she had hunted and had a foal at some stage. We bought her for my 14 year old daughter, knowing she was green but planning to bring her on and take her to pony club.

She has come on in leaps and bounds, been to pony club rallies and competitions, done some unaffiliated show jumping competitions and hacked for miles. She does however have one quirk which has knocked my daughter’s confidence and she’s just not big or strong enough to deal with it.

On occasions, Melody can buck shortly after mounting. She manages to throw my daughter off every time she does it and really needs a bigger, stronger rider to nip it in the bud and continue to work with her, especially on the jumping which she seems to really enjoy (although is very much still learning)!

We have had her checked by our vet to rule out pain being the issue, and have now come to the tricky decision to sell her to someone who is able to work through this issue with her. If only my daughter were bigger and stronger we’d carry on ourselves, she will honestly be a cracking horse once it is solved. She is therefore being sold as a project which is reflected in her price.

She hacks alone or in company, is happy to take the lead or sit behind, and is sensible for her age.

Rosie would be ideal for someone wanting a smart traditional cob to bring on for showing, hacking, and all-round fun.

Rosie has been to the beach with a novice rider, who she took excellent care of. She confidently led the whole way, walking through crowds of people to reach the beach. She has also been to the woods, where she enjoyed swimming in the river and happily popped over a little log.

Wow where to start with lovely Bobby. He’s just a gorgeous boy inside & out. There is nothing more you could want from an amateurs / teenagers allrounder, he has it all! We sold this amazing boy and he was 5 stage vetted and passed with flying colours, however the purchaser couldn’t come up with the balance therefor he’s back available and comes with a vet cert!

This gorgeous little horse is an absolute diamond. Fabulous breeding by the infamous Bog Mac Bobby. He has the most incredible laid back can-do attitude, while also being super good looking, a lovely mover & having a cracking jump. He is young but he absolutely is an old soul - we specialise in easy young horses and he is absolutely one of the best we’ve ever had.

He has 3 lovely paces and a super balanced canter. Learns very quickly and going sweetly on the flat. He is super super trainable and just wants to please. Soft mouthed and snaffle for everything. Never strong at all. Would be slightly more push than go but not a lazy horse.

Bold and brave to all SJ & XC fences. Totally unphased about new fillers, spooky fences or arenas, xc fences, ditches, steps water. Always easily controllable and never silly. Will step up a gear to show athleticism over a bigger fence and happy to pop round on a long buckle end from trot if you prefer. He’s so so easy. Would be great fun to get out to camps this summer and I know he won’t put a hoof wrong. Has been out a handful of times with us and behaved like a 10yo in every way.

Hacks like a dream alone or in company and off / on road. So unphased by traffic and tractors / trailers that if you don’t move him around them he might well just get run over. Happy to canter in front or behind without ever thinking of being silly. So enjoyable to hack / fun ride and has also hunted a handful of times proving a pleasure. I would happily put a complete novice on him.

Super easy to handle and not at all “Irish”. Very friendly, loves being brushed more than anything in the world. Good to pick his legs up, not head shy, great to catch (frequently used as bate to catch another). Great to lead. Totally chilled enough to be fully handled by a child or older person or non horsey husband if needed. The kindest and sweetest boy on the ground with a cute funny personality.

Absolutely zero quirks at all. A rare find who deserves a fantastic home.

Due to genuine personal circumstances, Rocco is sadly looking for a new home. This is through absolutely no fault of his own, and he will only be sold to the very best home.

Rocco is a genuine, kind horse with a fantastic attitude to work. He is always willing to please and gives everything a go. He takes confidence from his rider, so he would be best suited to someone who can ride positively and consistently. However, he would also happily suit a confident novice rider with some horse knowledge who is looking for a genuine young horse to enjoy and continue producing. Kind, willing and eager to learn, Rocco has all the potential to make an outstanding all-round horse.

Rocco was professionally backed at the start of last winter before being turned away to mature. He returned to work in March and has been riding away consistently ever since. Despite his young age, he has taken everything in his stride and continues to impress with his willing attitude and sensible nature. He really is an old head on young shoulders, taking new experiences in his stride and always trying his best.

Since coming back into work, he has enjoyed beach rides, cross-country schooling, flatwork and plenty of hacking. He hacks happily alone or in company and is equally happy leading or following. He is very good in open spaces and, although he may be a little more forward in completely new environments, there is never anything silly or naughty about him. He has a lovely, level-headed temperament and always tries his best.

He is also incredibly genuine to ride after time off. He recently had several days off during the hot weather and came straight back into work without any fuss.

On the ground, Rocco is a pleasure to have around and is a real yard favourite thanks to his kind, friendly nature. He has lovely stable manners and is easy to handle in all respects.

Rocco is:

* Can be unsure with the farrier but is improving with regular handling

* Well-mannered on the ground and in the stable

* Easy to do in all ways

* Up to date with vaccinations, dentist and farrier

* Free from lumps, bumps, blemishes, sarcoids or vices

* Recently passed a full 5-stage vetting with no issues

Unfortunately, his breeding is unknown.

Rocco has all the ingredients to make an exceptional all-round horse for someone wanting a genuine young horse to continue producing. He has a fantastic brain, a kind nature and a real willingness to learn, making him an exciting prospect for the future.

Rocco is equally happy living in or out and is content either with other horses or on his own.
