A very special, eye-catching mare with m extremely unusual colouring — classic cream champagne tobiano with one green eye and one blue eye — looking for her forever home. Good home is genuinely more important than price, and sensible offers will be considered for the right home.
10yo, 15.1hh Gypsy Cob × Morgan, with a lovely temperament and plenty of personality.
She is a genuine all-rounder who has spent the last few summers out doing a bit of everything, including:
• Showing
• Show jumping
• Cross country
• Beach rides
• Hacking over open Welsh hills
• Riding out and leading•Working equitation•Groundwork
She is fantastic out hacking and enjoys getting out and about. She is good with the farrier, vet, dentist and travelling, and is generally straightforward to have around.
She is currently being ridden by a competent 13-year-old and has improved enormously over the last few years. She is more of an all-round fun horse than a polished dressage schoolmaster — she can be a little unbalanced in the school and is a sensitive mare, so would suit a confident, sympathetic rider who enjoys getting out and about rather than someone looking for a highly produced competition horse.
She has popped the occasional buck in the past, but there is nothing nasty or malicious about her and she is generally a lovely, willing horse when ridden sympathetically.
She has had a foal previously. She also has a longstanding unusual teat which has been examined by a vet and has remained unchanged; happy to discuss this fully with genuinely interested buyers.
She can get tight through her back after particularly intense work, which is something we are mindful of and would of course be completely open about with any prospective buyer. She has been seen regularly by a physio over the last year and is kept up to date with worming, vaccinations, farrier care, dentistry etc.
She is also rather talented at jumping out of fields, unless she is with company or the fences are suitably ambitious 😂 so a secure turnout setup is essential! I have spoilt her a bit by being out in a huge field with a mixed herd, but there once was a time where she managed alone 😅
She has been a much-loved horse and this is not a sale I am taking lightly. Her full history is known — she was with the same owner from birth until early 2024, when I bought her, so there are no gaps in her history.
I am looking for someone who will appreciate her for the fun, quirky, gorgeous mare she is and give her a proper forever home. I would love to keep in touch with her new owner and hear how she gets on, and would be very happy to receive the occasional update on this gorgeous girl.
