Sparkle is a beautiful 15.1hh, 11-year-old Welsh Section D mare who has a wealth of experience and really has been there, done it and got the rosettes.
She would make the most wonderful mother and daughter/son share, family horse or mature adult’s best friend. Equally, she would suit a teenager wanting to get out, compete and have fun with a genuine calm experienced horse who knows her job.
Sparkle has spent many years competing with her previous home and regularly came home with rosettes. She has a vast amount of experience across a variety of disciplines, including low-level competitions, Pony Club, show jumping, pole and jumping clinics, farm rides, beach rides, fun rides and hacking.
This mare is loving, kind, steady school mistress who is incredibly laid-back, safe, and kind—a true lady in every sense. She is a fantastic confidence giver as she is super relaxed in all situations, nothing phases her, she takes everything in her stride with confidence and boldness. She is not sharp, spooky, or fizzy, and has never bucked, reared, bitten, or kicked. Sparkle has no Welsh quirks whatsoever. She is genuinely one of the safest and kindest horses you could wish to meet.
Sparkle is currently working in a riding school environment, where she has proven to be exceptionally. She will happily walk along on the lead rein with the smallest of novice riders, be ridden solo off the lead rein by a competent novice and excels with our intermediate level and advanced riders, she participated in our group and private lessons, she loves to jump and is not phased by the scariest of fillers, water jump, cross country courses. She has exceptional paces and moves lightly in your hands with elegance and style, making her a graceful and chic dressage contender. She rides confidently in a double bridle.
Sparkle is an incredibly versatile mare who enjoys a wide variety of disciplines, making her a lovely all-round family horse. She would be equally suited to a teenager wanting to compete, a mature adult looking for a safe and enjoyable horse to hack, or a rider who has lost their confidence and is looking for a kind, sensible partner, She has impeccable manners both on the ground and under saddle.
Sparkle is unbelievably safe and dependable out hacking, confidently taking the heaviest traffic imaginable completely in her stride, we are located in a very busy town so she regularly encounters double-decker buses, articulated lorries, motorbikes, push bikes, prams, dogs and large farm machinery, and she simply doesn’t look twice. She remains calm, sensible and completely unfazed, giving her rider a wonderful feeling of confidence and security.
She is equally perfect in open spaces and will happily canter across open fields either alone or in company. In a group, Sparkle is just as content at the front, middle or back of the ride, she never rushes, tries to overtake or becomes strong or excitable. Even after a lovely canter, she will pull up immediately and go straight onto a long rein, making her an exceptionally safe, enjoyable and confidence-giving horse to hack in all environments.
