16.3hh Skewbald Mare; 14 Years Old

Lovely 16.3hh skewbald mare, 14 years old, offered for sale due to no fault of her own. Good breeding.

She has a lovely temperament both in and out of the stable and is a pleasure to handle. Can be nervous sometimes when windy, She is good with traffic and enjoys jumping and hacking, and would do well in any discipline with the right confident rider.

She is happy to hack in company but does not like hacking alone, so would suit a home with other horses or a rider who enjoys riding out with friends.

She is up to date with all injections and teeth and is very well cared for. I feel I can’t fulfil her full potential, and she is now looking for someone who will take her further.

I have owned this mare for 5years, A genuine, honest mare looking for a knowledgeable, 5 star home. In no rush to sell so has to be the right owner.

As Good as Goldie

Goldie is being sold on behalf of a very close friend who has sadly passed away. This is an incredibly difficult sale for everyone involved, but one we are making with care and responsibility. Goldie deserves to be doing a job and enjoying life, and it would not be right for her to be left standing in a field through the hunting season. She is fit, sound, and ready to go and finish the season.

Goldie is a 17hh chestnut mare, six years old, priced at £9,500. She is a quality hunter and all-rounder with a genuine outlook.

Despite her size, Goldie is a lovely, mannerly ride. She is kind and straightforward, with a soft, pleasant mouth and is very rideable. She is a more laid-back type who you need to push on, rather than one that you have to hold onto all day. She is not sharp or strong and gives a very confidence-giving feel.

She has been hunted regularly this season with the Barlow, High Peak and South Notts, and references can be provided. I last hunted her on Boxing Day, where I was looking after children and nannying the ponies, and

Goldie was quite literally as good as gold all day.

She has been ridden by myself, my mum, and a petite young rider. She is rhythmic, balanced and straightforward into a fence, and I have jumped some big spots on her. She also attended The Great Yorkshire Show to compete in the flat hunter classes, where she behaved impeccably throughout.

Goldie has had an excellent foundation and is ready for someone to continue producing her. She is still young and a slightly more sensitive mare on the ground at home and therefore needs a kind, understanding approach.

Goldie is an Irish Draught–bred mare, recorded with the Irish Draught Horse Studbook, and comes from proven, traditional lines known for temperament, substance and ability. She is by Silver Granite, a Class 1 Irish Sport

Horse–approved stallion, bringing quality movement and athleticism, while her dam line includes Holycross and Ballycoog Diamonds, both well regarded for producing genuine, versatile horses with good brains. Her pedigree combines classic Irish Draught strength with enough blood for hunting and all-round sport, making her a sensible, durable type with the scope and rideability expected from this breeding. Equally, she would be a very good prospect as a broodmare for anyone wishing to produce quality hunter types from proven Irish lines.

I do not have a huge amount of footage as she was never intended to be for sale. I do have some videos from Great Yorkshire, but please do not ask for endless videos. If she sounds like your type, I would much rather you come and view her.

Based near Ashbourne, Derbyshire. For genuine enquiries and viewings, please contact 07912214443. No timewasters please, as this is an incredibly difficult situation for everyone involved.

  • Sire - Iron with Vivaldi, Jazz & Krack C Lines
  • Gently backed, Beautiful kind mare, compact, powerful and well put together.
  • A blank canvas ready to turn her hand to any discipline.

This exciting, kind, and outstanding mare was bred in the UK by Annelise Easton and boasts exceptional breeding.

Her sire, Iron, was named Four-Year-Old Champion at his licensing in 2021 and was the second most used Danish Warmblood stallion that year. Her dam, Granoeska, is a PROK-certified KWPN mare and Premium AES Grade 1***.

Effy (Feoeska) is an Anglo European. We purchased her in August 2023, where she had been living out in a small herd. She was gently and sympathetically backed in June 2024 and has shown herself to be a very promising prospect, working with natural balance and rhythm.

She has three superb paces, already displaying excellent movements. She has been ridden under saddle, hacked out in company on short rides and lunged in the arena. Effy is compact, well put together, and powerful, with a short back and active hind leg. Her temperament truly stands out — she has a positive outlook on work, a calm demeanour, and excellent intelligence.

Now approaching 5 years old (June), she is proving to be easy, willing, and quick to learn, with a remarkable and trainable attitude. She has been given plenty of time to mature and develop. Although she understands the basics, she remains a blank canvas, ready for a new partner to put their own stamp on her. She has been backed then turned away for a few months and is now ready to begin the new season with an ambitious rider who wishes to pursue any discipline. She will be sold from the field and will need to be reintroduced to ridden work in her new home.

She is easy in all respects, extremely well handled, not mareish, has no vices, has been shod, and lives out 24/7 but is also comfortable being stabled.

A very good deal and quick sale needed due to moving country.

Based: Old Buckenham, Norfolk

Sire Information:
Iron was bred in Denmark by Michelle Vicki Nedergaard and sold to Helgstrand in 2020. He is from the first crop by Ibiza, representing the Vivaldi and Jazz bloodlines.

Perfect Cob

Alfie is a 14.2hh rising 3yr old coloured traditional gypsy cob gelding.

All history is known; breeding not recorded but known, sire is 15.2 traditional gypsy cob stallion ‘Gawbridge Michael Flatley’, dam is a lovely 15.2 buckskin gypsy cob.

Alfie has been in a lovely family home prior to coming to me , he picks his feet up, is good to catch lead load etc, and is a real sweetie pie to be around. He moves superb and has tons of potential .
Unfortunately I have over horsed myself by buying a youngster , I don’t have the facilities or experience that is required when taking on a young horse and therefore I cannot do him justice .
He’s fully vaccinated & trimmed to date.

Came to me to be broken start of December, she’s now popping sweetly over fences. Been a dream to break, very willing. No silliness at all, she’s been very straight forward.

She can have a few days off and then get straight on without a worry.

Ready for new owner to crack on with and put their own stamp on.

Needless to say she’s green but so far very safe.

A very balanced baby, straight moving, she has a lovely feel and shape over fences

Been left to mature, same owner since a yearling.

A really sweet mare to deal with

She’s good to in all ways, she’s had a clip.

Her price will increase the more work I do with her, she will start hacking this week, weather depending! And hopefully she will be out at arena hires by the end of the month.

She will do any job, dressage, jumping eventing.

She’s a lot of horse for the price!

Change in owners circumstances means she is to be sold and not go home.

The Ultimate Confidence Giver
One In A Million This Mare Has Got It All

Margo is an exceptional 15.2hh 6 year-old Cob mare who offers the rare combination of safety, strength, experience, and a heart of gold. She is kind, bold, dependable, weight carrier, ideal for a wide range of riders – from complete beginners, nervous adults and children to more experienced jockeys who prefer a calm and steady ride.

Margo is beautifully put together and has been there, done that, in every sense. A calm, considerate and willing mare, she is the definition of safe and steady. She has more whoa then go if you’re less experienced but also has a fifth gear if you can ride she’s so adaptable, she can be ridden by completing novices then pick up her pace if you can ride, making her a perfect mount for riders who want to enjoy their riding at a relaxed pace without compromising on ability or responsiveness.

Ultimate All-Rounder

Margo has spent the last 18 months in a professional riding school environment and she has excelled with every level of rider, from novices to advanced, both under saddle and during stable management activities.

She has experience in flatwork lessons, both private and group, as well as participating in our in-house showjumping and cross-country competitions. She absolutely loves to jump and is confident over coloured and rustic fences she has a bold, careful jump. She would easily compete in showjumping, cross-country, working hunter, one-day events and hunting.

Margo absolutely loves to hack out and does so safely and calmly. She will happily hack alone or in company and has been exposed to the heaviest, fastest-moving traffic imaginable. She is completely unphased by buses, lorries, farm machinery and all types of vehicles. She remains safe and steady in all environments and does not rush or pull, even in open spaces or on the way home, you can gallop her across open fields with loose horses running along side her, then immediately pull her up and allow her to walk on a long rein or ask her to stand while horses run around her, she is most definitely not sharp, spooky or spiny.

She has been truly exceptional during her time on the riding school, she is unbelievable forgiving when rider lose their balance, struipps or have a bad stride into a fence, she always takes care of her riders, her substantial build, with a leg in each corner, combined with her calm disposition, sure-footedness, and gentle nature, gives even the most nervous riders the confidence to progress and excel. She will stand patiently at the mounting block for as long as needed, without moving an inch. I can honestly say she has absolutely no quirks, negative or marish traits.

Although she is happy to go at a quiet steady pace, she is also responsive to the leg and has three beautiful balanced, steady paces. For more experienced riders, she will work into a nice outline with enthusiasm and energy, always staying calm and sensible, she has never bolted, bucked, reared, kicked or bitten, she is the most loving kind mare you could ever wish to meet. Snaffle mouth with absolutely no gadgets. She will work into a nice outline, however due to being ridden by a varied clientele of novices, she has been allowed to carry her head high as most of her riders have limited knowledge.

Margo has outstanding ground manners. She stands for hours to be groomed and fussed over, with or without a head collar or lead rope. She is never marish or clingy, and she happy living in or out. In the field, she keeps herself to herself and never causes trouble, whether stabled alone or turned out in a mixed herd.

Margo has a history of excellent health and has never had laminitis, sweet itch, sarcoids, or any lumps, bumps, or unsoundness.

She is currently barefoot with strong, healthy hooves and is equally happy to be shod. She is excellent to clip, bath, catch, great to load and travel, fantastic with the farrier, vet, and dentist.

She is incredibly low maintenance, requiring no daily work. She can have weeks or even months off and return to ridden work without any fuss. She maintains her condition year-round on a simple diet and is easy to manage in every way.

She passes our riding school annual Licence Inspection, which is the equivalent of a Stage 2 vetting.

Margo is a rare gem. She is the perfect choice for someone looking for a calm, dependable, and capable all-rounder. Whether you’re re a nervous adult, a beginner rider, someone looking for a safe happy hacker, or a family looking for a versatile and loving horse, Margo fits the bill perfectly. She is a genuine schoolmistress who provides confidence and enjoyment in every ride and will give her next owner years of pleasure.

This is a heartbreaking sale. As part of our regular stock rotation, we give our riding school horses the opportunity to move on to private homes every few years so they can enjoy one-on-one attention and new experiences. Margo is ready to bring joy to her next rider and deserves the very best home. She has been truly exceptional.

She’s super fun and easy to ride. She is always snaffle mouthed and is responsive off the leg without being sharp or silly!

She would be ideal for a junior coming from ponies, a competitive amateur or someone just wanting a genuine horse to do a bit of everything.

And to top it off she comes with a complete wardrobe!

Very sad sale of a much loved family horse due to daughter’s university commitments.

We have known this horses history from a 4 year old

15.2 green book Connemara gelding turning 10 this year. Tested N/N for HWSD. Amazing breeding grandsire Templebready Fear Bui. This is an extremely hard advert to write and one I never thought ide have to do. Competed at BD advanced medium level with a trainable attitude to go higher.

Same home for 6 years. Has done cross country training, showjumping competitions up to 1m with scope to go higher. He won the BD combined training qualifiers. BPCS national dressage champion prelim and novice 2023 (they dont go higher than novice) and reserve champion 2024. Loves to be out competing and been busy. No novices as he is a competition horse. Ive taken him myself from prelim - advanced medium and has the brain and ability to go higher. A flashy mover and moves like a warm blood rather than a Connie so not for novices as is quite a big mover don’t plod around! He is established enough to teach someone the higher level moves.
He hasn’t jumped competitively for a few years as I now only just have a dressage saddle so I only jump small things on him in my dressage saddle. It wouldn’t take him long to get back into the jumping if that’s what someone wanted to do I’ve just concentrated on the dressage. I’ve never evented him as it’s not my thing but again something he would probably enjoy!

Hacks alone or in company. No vices good for farrier, dentist, clipped . Loads himself and Ive travelled him in a trailer and 3.5t . A very rare horse to find and this is an extremely sad sale of a much loved family horse. He has a 5pence sized sarcoid on his neck- its been there since he was 3 and never changed size hence why ive never got rid of it as dosnt get in the way of anything. This is reflected in his price. I had never ever planned to sell Joey however due to a sudden family death and with a baby I’m really struggling with time. I have dramatically reduced the price as I appreciate he hasn’t been jumped competitively and high for a few years ! He will only be sold to a 5 * home.

He will come with a complete full wardrobe owner giving up due to struggling with time.
