It is with a very heavy heart that I am offering my beautiful girl, Busy Bee, for sale due to me going to university.

Bee is a genuinely special, loving and talented mare who has so much to give the right person. She has had a difficult past and can be a sensitive and nervous horse, so finding her the right rider and home is absolutely paramount.

She is not a novice ride and needs a calm, patient and confident rider who understands her and doesn’t tell her off when she becomes worried. Her nervousness comes from anxiety rather than nastiness, and with the right rider and approach she is completely willing and incredibly rewarding.

🏆 Showjumping

Bee is a fantastic showjumper with plenty of ability and scope.

Bee loves hacking and is happy to hack both alone and in company. She particularly loves a long farm ride and getting out and about.

She can be nervous over cross-country fences, but with a confident, firm leg or a lead from another horse she is completely compliant. She just needs a rider who gives her confidence and reassurance.

🐴 Ground manners & temperament

Once you get to know Bee, she is very good on the ground. She does need someone who is patient with her while she gets to know and trust them, but once that relationship is established she is an absolute sweetheart.

She loves kisses and cuddles and is a very affectionate mare.

She is stellar to catch and load, travels beautifully and is extremely good with other horses. She absolutely loves having horsey friends and is super placid in company — never kicked another horse.

Bee prefers full turnout and is happiest living out 24/7, as this keeps her relaxed and settled, although she is perfectly happy to come in when required.

She is happy doing absolutely anything her rider wants — jumping, hacking, schooling, fun rides or simply enjoying a quieter life. She loves having a job but equally loves getting out and enjoying herself.

This lovely eye catching young horse has all the attributes to make a top class RC horse/ Working Hunter / competitive amateurs horse or young riders.

Fia is nicely bred, has lovely confirmation and is a real classy stamp of a horse. Uphill and light to the contact.

She has 3 good paces and although green as only young is proving to have a careful athletic jump and will be quite flashy in the dressage ring.

She came over from Ireland as a 2 year old - direct from breeder and has been in the same home since.

Professionally backed at the start of this year and has continued her education at home and has been to professional yards for further schooling in between.

Rhubarb is an easy to do, half-appaloosa, all-rounder with a beautiful jump.

She has done local dressage competitions, SJ, XC schooling, gridwork and flatwork clinics, hunt rides, fun rides, arena hires etc. Jumping is her favourite, but she could turn her hand to all PC/RC activities. She won both SJ classes I entered at her first RC show.

She is perfect to catch, clip, shoe, dentist, physio etc. Unfazed by traffic, barking dogs, machinery, flapping bin bags etc and generally unspooky. Hacks alone or in company, unflappable around our busy yard with children on scooters, mowers, tractors etc.

Very good do-er thriving on just grass, hay and the odd carrot, will live in or out, only front shoes. In work, fully fit and ready to go.

No vices or medical history. Passed a 5-stage vetting when I bought her. Up to date with farrier, dentist, saddler, vaccines etc. Same home 3.5 years.

Those are the good things. I want to be completely honest, so these are the downsides:

She can be difficult to load. I’ve not tried her in a lorry, but it takes patience and two people to get her into the trailer. Once she’s in, she travels well. This could be improved with regular practice, I suspect.

She can be sticky/reluctant/unenthusiastic in the school – some days she’s a delight to school but others, for reasons unknown, she will decide she doesn’t fancy it. Usually, I can get past this, but it is frustrating.

She can put in the odd buck and be occasionally fizzy. This would usually happen when cantering in open spaces, especially if she’s cantering with

other horses, or on landing from a XC jump when she’s having fun. The bucks generally aren’t unseating and I think some people would find them fun, but as I’ve got older, I’ve got less brave and am too conscious of my responsibilities to my children etc to enjoy that sort of high jinks.

Comes with a full wardrobe and tack, including fairly new saddle which was bought specifically for her.

15.1hh 8yo Connemara Gelding

15.1hh, 8-year-old Connemara gelding. We bought him in June as a mother/daughter share, but have over-horsed our very slight 12-year-old, so we are now looking to downsize.

He is a lovely, genuine boy with plenty to offer. His real strong point is his flatwork and dressage, which he seems to genuinely enjoy. He works correctly and does a lovely dressage test. He has also been out show jumping, XC, farm rides, clinics and dressage competitions, so has plenty of experience as an all-rounder, but dressage is definitely where he shines.

He is an excellent hack, alone or in company, and his previous home used him to lead youngsters. Good in traffic and happy in open spaces.

Whilst he can be ridden by a child, he is not suitable for a novice. To get the best from him he needs a competent, confident rider.

He is good to handle in all ways and is up to date with farrier, dentist, vaccinations and worming.

He was bought with a small sarcoid on the inside of his hind leg, which he has had since he was young. His previous vets confirmed it had been checked, had never changed or grown and had never caused him any problems. Happy to discuss this fully with anyone genuinely interested. His old owner decided to leave it as it had never changed in the 5 years owned. Our plan was to also leave it alone but had been open to laser and discussed this at our vetting. The fact that it could be removed is reflected in his price. He was 5 stage vetted in June this year. No medical changes since. No injuries or issues.

He would make a lovely horse for someone wanting to focus on dressage while still enjoying hacking, clinics and a variety of other activities.

Teddy is a true gentleman. He has so much to give for such a young horse with three uphill lovely balanced gaits. He has scope to burn, jumping with my 9-year-old daughter everything she points him at. His still young so no novice or beginners. This boy will go very far. His so genuine and kind. Earl has mainly been used as a low level all-rounder.

He has done lots of pole and jump clinics, cross country schooling, hacking etc. He hasn’t got much competition experience as this wasn’t his old owners scene, however I’m sure he would be super.

He has a lovely forward jump and is happily popping courses of 70/80cm with ease. He works in a lovely outline on the flat, however he can be forward so not suitable for a novice.

Great to hack, doesn’t fizz up in open spaces and great with traffic. Hacks alone and in company although needs a confident rider if out alone, he’s absolutely fine just a tad looky when he doesn’t have a friend with him.
