I'm looking for a partner, a best friend and hopefully my horse for many years to come.
After returning to riding following a long break, I've realised that temperament means far more to me than breeding, competition record or colour. I'm looking for the horse that makes me smile every time I walk into the stable.
About me:
I am an adult rider returning after many years away, because, life.
My horse will be kept on a beautiful full livery yard in Essex, receive first-class care and want for absolutely nothing.
This is very much a forever-home search. I'm not looking to buy, enjoy for six months and move on. I'm looking for the horse I'll build a genuine partnership with and they will be part of our family. My daughter is also beginning her own horse journey, so finding a kind, trustworthy horse who could one day quietly introduce her to the joy of horses would be incredibly special.
My ideal horse:
* Around 15.2hh–16.2hh (I'll happily consider something slightly outside this for the right horse)
* Approximately 8–12 years old, although age isn't everything if the temperament is right
* Mare or gelding
* Kind, genuine and confidence giving
* Happy hacking alone and in company
* Good in traffic and open spaces
* Easy to catch, shoe, clip, load and handle
* Happy to enjoy hacking, riding club activities, clinics, fun rides and the occasional small jump, but equally content simply being someone's best friend
I don't need a superstar.
I don't need a horse with an impressive competition record.
I simply want an honest horse who enjoys being with people and deserves a loving, long-term home.
What I can offer:
⭐ A genuine forever home
⭐ Full livery with excellent daily care and year round turnout
⭐ Regular lessons and sympathetic riding
⭐ Plenty of love, attention and fuss
⭐ A home where our horse will always come before ribbons or results
If you've been thinking about selling but have been waiting for the right person and this sounds like the sort of home you’d want for your horse, I'd love to chat with you. I'm based in Essex but I'm happy to travel for the right horse.
Thank you for reading, and I look forward to hearing about your special horse.
