Squirrel really has done it all. She has competed BS to Discovery, attended dressage competitions and BE training events, and most recently won the Novice Working Hunter before standing Reserve Champion.

She works beautifully on the flat with three correct paces and is brave, careful and incredibly genuine to jump. She’s the type of horse that always wants to help her rider and never holds a grudge if they make a mistake.

Squirrel is an absolute pleasure to have on the yard. Easy to catch, load, travel and shoe, she stands quietly on the lorry, happily goes out with others or waits on her own.

She is ridden by everyone here and recently attended an arena hire with a 13-year-old rider who had never ridden her before (video available).

She hacks brilliantly in company and is sensible in open spaces. One of her only faults is that she can lack confidence hacking alone and needs reassurance.

She has had two years out to produce a lovely foal, due to a lack of rider.

Extremely sad sale of my 15.3/16hh steel grey 5yo mare.

Sadly, she has had a tumble & sustained a shoulder injury, so now needs *3–6 months of rest/turnout/hacking* before coming back into work. She is otherwise straight, correct & with no lumps or bumps, aside from a small superficial scar at the top of her foreleg from when she was a yearling.

If it were spring, I would absolutely be keeping her and giving her the time she needs. Unfortunately, my yard has no winter turnout, and I don't feel it would be fair to keep her stabled all winter. I equally don't have to funds to send her to another livery with turnout as I pay for my yard as a whole, not per horse.

She is an absolute dream to own and genuinely one of the easiest horses I've ever had. She's my "first out, last in" horse, can be left alone without a care and doesn't react when others are taken away.

She's a proper head-turner - gets compliments everywhere! Excellent for the farrier, vet, loading, etc. She's incredibly safe — the horse I'd put my non-horsy friends on — straightforward and snaffle mouthed to ride, will happily look after a novice or step up for an experienced rider. Stands to be mounted. Exceptionally well-mannered on the ground. I'd happily let a child lead & ride her. Non-mareish, very cuddly and no vices. Holds her weight well & has a lovely shape & top line. Hacks alone or in company and is excellent in traffic, including heavy machinery. She was my lead horse as she is not spooky & will happily go past things.

She has competed & is good as gold in a busy warm-up. Videos available of her in work.

This is a genuinely heartbreaking sale as I adore her, but welfare has to come first. If someone is in a position to give her the time and turnout she needs, they'll have a truly lovely horse at the end of it.

I would also consider a SHORT-TERM loan as a field companion/similar arrangement, but you must be fairly local to **SO32**. I will not consider permanent loans.

Twiggy (Sakandi) 16.3hh 11yo TB mare

Incredibly difficult sale of a once in a lifetime horse due to lack of time.

Twiggy moves like an absolute dream with 3 floaty paces in the school and soft mouthed in a snaffle. She is a forward hack alone or in company. She has an epic jump, careful over poles and brave cross country. I’ve owned her since she was 6 straight out of racing, she ran in 7 hurdle races and retired sound, just didn’t want to be a race horse.

She’s been on an extended holiday for the last 2 years in the field due to personal commitments and moving away for uni and has been recently brought back into work with the view to find her a new home.

She is an awesome ride but she does need consistent riding and an experienced rider as she is sensitive and a big powerful mover. She loves her work and is easy peasy to deal with when in a routine, she’s not the type that can be picked up and put down every few weeks as she does get fresh and can forget her manners!

She has been to riding club camp, cross country schooling, hunter trails and been super, it’s always been my dream to produce her for eventing however lack of funds has been the limiting factor. She would also be epic to team chase with the right person.

Lord or Kylebrack (aka Finn) is a super fun little horse that has been with me for the last 2 years. I bought him from Ireland as an unbroken 3 years old and backed him myself early last year. He has been brought on slowly and has been super easy to date. Finn is now ready to continue his education and I am confident that, in the right hands, he will become an excellent little eventer, riding club or pony club horse.

Finn has been out on fun rides, SJ schooling, pole work clinics and XC training days. He has taken everything in his stride and continues to do so, always in a calm and sensible way. He hacks out alone or in company. Of course, he is still in his early years so I am looking for a home that has experience, knowledge and appropriate support to release his full potential further.

He is maturing into a beautiful, loving and kind little horse. He is clean limbed and tested n/n for HWSD. Ronnie came over from Ireland as a feral 3 year old and has been in my yard ever since being slowly and correctly produced. He’s been allowed time to grow, mature and learn at his own pace which has allowed him to blossom into a super little horse with huge amounts of potential.

Ronnie has got three expressive, correct paces and an athletic jump. He’s excellent to hack, alone or in company. Regularly goes off cantering round the Worcestershire countryside sometimes with a novice rider on board. He’s been out to combined training, showjumping and recently completed his first BE Lite event. He was incredibly well behaved and seemed to love his first taste of eventing.

Although Ronnie is still learning and perhaps a little green, he’s very safe and willing to continue his education. He’s very much the type that if you just keep steering and kicking, he works the rest out pretty quickly! However, I would like to see him go to a competent U18 or small adult. At this stage of his development, he’s not suited to a novice rider.

Ronnie is a lovely horse to have around. Very easy to do, a lovable cheeky character. You can give him two weeks off work, hop back on and ride away quite happily. Never known him get fresh or silly. Very genuine little horse who just wants to please.

Although Ronnie has never hunted, I believe he’d be a fantastic hunter. Regularly goes out on group rides and is exceptionally behaved. Always very good in a busy warm up ring. He has been produced towards the eventing market but could turn his hoof to most things! I would like to see him go to a good competition home where he can keep developing. He will most definitely be a competitive grassroots horse, he may even have more potential than that. He will make a really fun project for someone to keep on producing.
