WANTED - PROVEN NOVICE / 2* EVENT HORSE - Looking for a Novice eventing schoolmaster to step up the levels from BE100. I am confidently competing at 100/105cm, and am looking for the next horse to step up the competitive levels (110-115 SJ and Novice/2* eventing) based in Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire with many references and videos avaliable. Based at a professional event yard, with endless facilities and regular professional training.

Happy to travel anywhere!

A loving home awaits, the horse will want for nothing and happy to organise a yard visit prior to any sale.

Striking 16.1hh 2013 bay gelding by Fastnet Rock.

Archie is a loveable cheeky character whom I produced slowly from a 3year old until his current owners purchased him just over 2 years ago.

With me he won and had many placings at BE100 with consistent double clears proving he could be a serious Badminton grassroots contender.

With his current owners he has been a much loved mother daughter share. He has done many PC rallies and clinics and taken part in dressage, showjumping upto 1m and evented to 90cm with great success.

Archie is snaffle mouthed but can get a little enthusiastic so isn't a novice ride.

This is a very sad sale due to his owner going to university.

Has been seen to occasionally windsuck which is very easily managed and has a very small amount of vet history which are both reflected in his price.

Gilly is a great grassroutes eventing allrounder. Owned since a foal so all history known and produced by amateur lady, previously competing at BE 80 and 90. She is by an Irish Sports stallion out of a Shaab mare.

Recently competed by 12 year old girl at BE arena eventing and is fit and ready for this season. Is a Bramham 80 finals prospect for the future or family allrounder.

Finalist in BD Quest finals and was recently placed 3rd in BD combined training.

Gilly is very easy on the ground with a lovely nature. Hacks alone and in company and is ok with heavy traffic.

Loads and travels on trailer, 3.5t and wagon. Can go to competition alone or with a friend and isn’t phased or upset being by herself. Turns out in mixed herd, good to clip, groom and shoe. She is good in open spaces and has been on beach rides.

No lameness issues and her vet record is open to view if required.

Only for sale as we need to fund a future junior team prospect for my daughter and gilly is happy to do 80/90. She’s bold and brave sj and xc always looking for the next fence.

Could make a fab pony club horse especially tetrathlon or/and Riding club horse for a parent.

With Shaab on the dam side and Cavalier Royale on the side side she has gold standard lines for future breeding also.

Lovely stamp of horse, with Clover Hill lines. Loose easy paces, makes a nice picture. A bit green on the flat but has scored competitive dressage marks in the few tests we’ve done.

Showing a good attitude to learn. Jumping clears at 90cm away from home and schooling at 100cm at home with lots of scope for more.

Has hunted in Ireland and has been out a handful of times with us proving safe sane and mannerly.

He jumped everything cleanly and carefully and waited for his fences.

A very kind natured horse but sensitive so not a complete novices ride, but nothing nasty at all.

We would consider a horse with a proven unaffiliated 100 eventing record especially if over BE tracks. We are keen to find something aged 6-11years and as a bonus still eligible for Badminton Grassroots, but not essential. We do have experience with competition horses but please do declare any quirks!

Talented Young Eventer - Fit, sound and ready to crack on this season!

Eliza is a real eye catcher, a beautiful looking mare with a super kind temperament.

She is part dressage bred and this is certainly visible in her paces, with plenty of natural lift and cadence, she has 3 super flash paces with established changes. As a 7 year old, this would be the discipline she still needs time to develop and progress through the movements but the natural ability is there.

Her jump is equally impressive, bold careful and athletic with a real desire to leave the poles up. Super brave across country, she is very genuine and straight, always wanting to jump between the flags.

Eliza evented last season with a number of top 10 placings at both 100 and novice level, picking up 3 BE points as a 6 year old.

She certainly has the ability to go up the grades but equally her temperament would also suit a more amateur young rider.

One not to be missed - based at Aston-le-Walls, excellent trial facilities.

Has carried sidesaddle twice and took to this extremely well. He has a fantastic, willing attitude where he aims to please at all times. He has serious untapped potential and with an ambitious rider he will undoubtedly make a top competition horse.

Tourmakeady Jack - Extremely sad sale of a much loved genuine schoolmaster who’s BE record speaks for itself.

We have owned jack for 7 years and he has never put a foot wrong. He was originally bought as a mother daughter share to have fun. He has taken part in all riding activities from low level dressage and riding club all the way up to FEI 2* eventing.

In recent years he has had top 5 results and numerous double clears at BE 100 and Novice including completing Frickley 2*S and Osberton 2*L with clear xc.

Jack is a jumping machine who hasn’t had a xc fault since 2018. He’s never strong and looks for the flags every time, good with ditches, water and steps etc. He’s also a quick footed, genuine show jumper who is careful and does his very best to clear the fence for you and isn’t at all offended if you make a mistake, he just keeps going!

He has hunted and loves it - never strong and doesn’t pull, he’s a lovely ride but is also a safe hack to take mum out in between his other activities!

Jack is sensible and has never bucked or bolted etc however is a forward going competition horse so wouldn’t be suitable for a complete novice. He would be an ideal horse for a competent teen looking to do U18s or a small adult looking to compete at grassroots level.

Eligible to be downgraded, so a great Badminton Grassroots contender with a consistent BE record.

He is easy to box, shoe, clip etc.

Jack had an injury last spring but has now returned to full fitness and has had the all clear from the vet. This is reflected in the price, we are happy to discuss the full details over the phone.

Sky hacks out alone and in company, is schooled regularly, and shows a natural ability for jumping. She is extremely bold to a fence with a willing attitude.

Sky has 3 elastic paces and would also excel in dressage. She competed at Somerford Park, winning both her tests on 67% despite it being her first time competing and seeing boards. She has a jumpers change and is starting her lateral work.

My daughter has taken her to multiple clinics and has competed Showjumping up to 95cm, coming in the top 5 in her first SJ competition. She is forward and brave to a fence, is not phased by fillers or atmosphere and makes a beautiful shape over a fence. Sky is schooling at 1.10 with ease, with the potential to go much higher.

Sky has been xc schooling at Tweseldown and Somerford Park, where she saw ditches, steps and water - it was like she had done it all before. She has the potential to be an extremely smart eventer.

Sky is a homebred with excellent breeding (Jigilo/ Jumbo), is easy to handle away from home, having been competed/ taken to clinics by my daughter alone.

Great traveller, easy to do at shows an old head on young shoulders.

Sky has no lumps or bumps and is up to date on her vaccines. No medical history and open to any vet. She has physio regularly and is fit and ready to go.

He is an out and out XC schoolmaster at the 2* level although at the end of last year stepped up to Intermediate level, jumping easily round a huge Kelsall track (one of only 2 clear XC rounds in the OIU21 section). He has jumped up to BS Foxhunter and is well schooled on the flat finding 3* level work easy at home.

He has plenty of scope SJ and flourishes with a quiet confident rider. Dressage would be his weaker phase and this can sometimes lead to inconsistent scores. However, he is capable of doing a beautiful test.

He is a fit and athletic competition horse and would therefore not be suitable for a novice. You will want to be a competent and gutsy rider who enjoys a forward going ride. Would suit an ambitious teen looking to gain valuable experience for future teams.

He is easy to do in every way with super manners on the ground, is a pleasure to have on the yard and enjoys a relationship with his rider. Hunted in his previous home and we are still in touch with his old owners. No veterinary issues, has never had a lame day and always trots up sound following competition. Clean X Rays 2022.

Easy ride, very brave, will go on a miss kind of type but also very careful. Perfect for a child or young adult. He has immense scope and for him to reach his full potential is not a novice ride, this is a real competition horse.

Has jumped BS to 1.15m (potential for 1.30m+)

Has qualified RIHS Intermediate Working Hunter at his 2nd worker show with a complete novice rider in this discipline. Jumps skinny’s, water trays, brush fences etc. Is eligible on height to do 15hh WHP as well. He will be an avid contender for RIHS and HOYs 15hh & Intermediates.

He moves very well on the flat (achieving high marks for his show in WH and conformation).Would also event to a high level (has won around 2 BE 100 AE tracks again with a complete novice rider in this discipline). He’s very brave and confident to solid fences, up/down banks, through water over ditches.

Good to do in all ways: teeth, farrier, hack out, travel, bath, clip. Will happily live in or out.

This is a serious little horse, certain to become a top class Working Hunter. Would equally be a perfect Bronze/Silver league/Amateurs horse or event horse.

Careful and bold jumper SJ (fences down on record reflect riders weak showjumping).

Absolute Xc machine being very bold and genuine. Clear in every XC round (even if the rider misses!) as long as the fence is near him he will jump and he is very quick thinking. Can be strong but up until his last run has always been ridden in a snaffle. A bit change xc in his last run proved to be a game changer and this will allow him to be a lot quicker across country and subsequently even more competitive.

Hacks alone and in company, good in traffic. Prefers being upfront. He would not be suitable for a home that wants to hunt.

He is good to shoe, box, catch, clip.

All history known from 5 years old, retired sound from racing and has been quietly
retrained since 8yrs old.

He is a forward thinking horse and will be fresh if not taken out regularly and in his first run of the season, for this reason he is not suitable for an inexperienced rider. Having said that he does not buck, rear, bronk, nap etc.

A serious BS / BE prospect…

A small horse with a HUGE heart! Orla has all the talent without the sharpness….

Orla is XC schooling around 100cm courses and has jumped a handful of bigger fences - showing great technique and plenty of scope for the future. She is show-jump training around courses of 100cm. She is a careful jumper, quick off the floor & doesn’t like to touch a pole! She has the balance, speed and enthusiasm for the job to make it to the top but she’s equally forgiving and polite enough to jump around smaller courses. She has always been easy to handle in a busy environment, not silly or sharp. She is a really fun horse to ride!

She has hunted a season in Ireland with The Galway Blazers, with a teenage rider. We have hunted her with The EDH, she is fantastic with hounds, stands well at the meet, has good manners & plenty of jump - there is no doubt she’d cross all kinds of country!!

Orla’s flatwork is basic however she shows plenty of promise - she is naturally balanced and quick to learn! She has a lovely big canter and open trot, she isn’t short and choppy! There is no doubt she will produce a lovely test in the future.

Hacking alone and in company, ridden in traffic and open spaces. A lovely temperament and good ground manners. We have taken her on beach & moorland rides.

This horse has SO much talent, whilst she is genuine we’d love to see her enjoyed so she won’t be sold to a nervous or novice rider.
