Carnaween Filgree. - 15hh 10yr old buckskin registered Connemara gelding by Golden Filigree.

This very smart boy has 3 good paces, and is working nicely on the flat in all 3 paces. He is consistently getting dressage scores in the 20s, winning his first ever one day event on a 28 dressage. He came 4th in the BE at Breckenbrough finishing on a 29 dressage, and 6th at Northallerton BE. He recently competed at Frickley in the BE80RQ where he had an unlucky pole, but jumped a super clear xc around a very technical course.

To jump, he is bold and honest, without being strong. He jumps anything you point him at, including ditches, water, fillers etc without any hesitation, he’s a real point and go type. He is fit and ready to compete at BE90, and we would expect him to move up to 100 with a little more mileage.

At home, he is a pleasure to have around. He is very easy to catch, box, shoe, clip etc. He hacks well alone and in company and isn’t phased by any traffic.

He would ideally be suited to an older teen or an adult, rather than a child, as he can occasionally show a cheeky side. He has been known to throw a buck, so wouldn’t suit a nervous or novice rider.

Milly is an exciting young prospect, she will make a fabulous dressage horse, show jumper, event horse or a great mother/daughter share. Really kind natured and a very honest ride. She is safe enough to be hacked out by a more novice rider but is equally good enough for a competitive rider to produce up the levels.

Milly hunted last season with the North Mayo Harriers and has competed successfully in hunter trials in Ireland, proving very bold and brave! She has jumped clears round 90cm at training shows. She’s very honest to jump, will pop over absolutely any filler and is not at all spooky! But is more on the green side with her jumping at home and would benefit from more training. However, she will happily go out and pop a course of fences at a training show no bother. Has recently done SJ clinics at Kelsall Hill.

She is very safe and sensible for her age. Hacks out like a dream alone and in company, passing traffic sensibly and very happy to leave the yard by herself. She loves exercising at the beach.

I can’t say enough good things about this kind mare. Milly is a pleasure to handle and deal with in every way. She has no vices. Stands quiet to groom, bath, tack up. She doesn’t change away from home, she loads and travels very well. She will stand on the box quietly by herself, you don’t even notice she’s there! She happily lives out in the field but just as happy to be stabled.

She rides lovely on the flat with three correct paces and working well in a natural outline, but does require more schooling as she is only 5 and not a finished product. She does prefer a rider with softer hands. She really would make a lovely dressage horse, and very much enjoys her flatwork. She’s snaffle mouthed at all times, not at all strong.

Looking for a perfect home for Milly, she really deserves it and has so much to give somebody. Open to any viewings/vet inspections. She passed a five stage vetting on purchase.
