He has very correct paces and an athletic build, with a careful jumping technique. With Cruising and Moylough Bouncer as both his grandsires he has a great natural jumping ability with a brain to match. Dougie's dam, Ballagh Rose, is a full sister to DS Ballagh Bouncer who won the Performance Irish Draught class at this year's RDS Dublin Horse Show, so he has extremely eye-catching breeding.

He hacks both alone and in company, not fazed by traffic of any description.
He travels and loads really well both in lorries and trailers. I have actually taken him to competitions etc by myself.

Dougie is forward thinking and likes to get on with his job, but he is not sharp. He is, however, not a novice ride but mainly due to his age.
