For sale due to my daughter moving out and loosing interest. I haven’t got the time and experience and hence for the past 12+ months I have used him as a happy hacker, being a novice mum.

15hh 11 year, gelding with a superb kind temperament and so much scope. Unrecorded breeding on basic Irish passport.

He’s done hacking, fun rides, XC, show jumping in the past. My daughter used to do team chase, hunting and hound exercise which I believe he really enjoyed. However these days he’d equally is just as happy being a happy hacker and perhaps in time build up to doing some fun rides again. He’s not faced by having machinery, children, dogs or other horses around him. Hacks alone or in company.

He’s good to load on a trailer or lorry, good with vets, easy to catch, shoe, clip, stands quietly to groom and good for dentist. He’s a gem to have around and so easy to do.

He is however is currently not great in canter in the school. I feel cater work in the school is going to be a project. He has not done any jumping recently but I know he was quick to the fence in the past. I believe he needs an experienced adult rider to work with him if he is ridden in a school.

I however am a novice and he’s only done hacking with myself in the past year. He’s brilliant if hacking is all you want from him. If you want more then he will need someone with some patience and skill. Sadly I haven’t got the time to do enough with him. He could be a great mother and adult daughter share.

Not for a novice as can be spooky hacking and likes to have someone who knows what they are doing schooling. That said, he absolutely does not buck, rear or bolt and is safe.

Would suit a yard that has routine and the option to restrict grazing

Has some medical issues - has EMS so needs regular exercise & restricted grazing (had mild lami last year as was left on grass). Has mild sweetitch but has not rubbed out mane & tail & is easily managed by fly rug in summer. Has recently needed pads putting on as went foot sore on the hard ground. Don’t know if he will need to continue these or whether it’s a one off.

Full medical history can be disclosed and has clean x rays of feet from last year.

I’ve been as honest as I can and the above is reflected in his price.

Genuine reason for sale - he is not settling at my busy yard, we are all on different routines & we also rotate fields regularly (with lots of grass) so I am unable to restrict his grazing & it is becoming too difficult to try & manage his sugar intake.

Im a confident rider with many many years of experience with different breed of horses. However, as I am nearing 40, i am now looking for my last horse of a life time, so looking for a nice allrounder to have fun and bring me back home safe and in one piece.

I own a small holding which consists of stables, arena and 10 acres of land.

Currently have 6 horses at home which consist of a pony for my daughter, 2 retired that have been with me for years and 3 youngsters I bred myself.

Things I am looking for in my next horse - they must be easy to do in all ways, I often will go to shows by myself or with my young daughter.

Confidence giver and forgiving in the jumping department, someone to help me out when I get it wrong - nice steady approach when jumping, don’t want something that locks on a shoots forward.

Hack out alone and in company.

Would like to start doing more dressage, so something that knows the basics.

I do enjoy the odd fun ride with a friend so would be nice if I can do this without the horse jogging the entire way or running off when another horse comes past. (Had many of these type of horses when I was younger, my body was more able back then)

No bucking, rearing - I understand it is impossible to ask for a bomb proof horse but something not too spooky.

I am actively looking and have a healthy budget for the right horse.

Height - 15.2hh to 16.3hh

Age - 7 years to 11years may go slightly older depending on how old. But don’t want to go any younger as I do what the horse to have experience.

Ideally looking to buy from a private home, someone who has had their horse for a while and knows a lot of history.
