We have made the difficult decision to sell our gorgeous 'Sir Gareth'. We've had the pleasure of owning him for almost 5 years but sadly now my son is going away for his final year at Uni and I work every weekend, we won't have enough time for him. After lots of crying we have decided to find him a new home.

During his time with us he has enjoyed low level showjumping at local events, had 4 years of hunting which he loves. He is a lovely safe ride, happy to go but also happy to stay at the back. He is the type you can leave for weeks and get on and go. He loves nothing more than exploring off road, we are lucky enough to have Forestry hacking on our doorstep plus a through road on a Golf course and he loves to stop and look at the views.

He is great to hack, happy alone or in a group. He's a very sociable horse both in a herd and with his humans, he will form a bond and shower you with affection.

Great in traffic, unfazed by heavy machinery, bikes or motorbikes. He's seen them all and often follows tractors around the field, being nosey. We've had him as a Mother and Son share, so he would be great for a teenager or an older rider as he's happy doing whatever is asked of him. Buddy is a big, handsome young horse with a fantastic attitude and a wonderfully unflappable nature.

Professionally backed as a 3-year-old, Buddy has spent the summer quietly hacking and gaining valuable experience. He is great in traffic, hacks alone or in company, and is excellent in open spaces. He is practically unflappable and takes everything in his stride.

Buddy is also fantastic with livestock and has even been used to help move cattle, which he takes completely in his stride.

He is easy to have around and good to do in every way — shoe, box, catch, handle etc. He has recently started jumping and is proving himself to be very honest, willing and straightforward. Nothing seems to phase him.

We feel Buddy would make a lovely hunter, riding club horse or weight-carrying allrounder. He has the size, temperament and attitude to suit a variety of homes and disciplines.

Sandy is a lovely, genuine and straightforward horse who has been an absolute pleasure to own. She has been my first horse and has helped me progress my riding and, most importantly, build my confidence. She has also been ridden by my young sons and has been a wonderful, reassuring horse for the whole family.

Sandy is polite and easy to handle on the ground, with no stable vices. She is good for the farrier (currently has fronts on), dentist and vet and is fully up to date with her teeth, feet and vaccinations. She is good to groom and pick her feet, she loves a bath and a groom. She is excellent to load and travel and she is currently ridden 4 times a week.

Sandy has done plenty of schooling and hacking with us and has really enjoyed getting out and about. She has been to arena hires, pole clinics, forest hacks and weekend confidence clinics, all of which she loves. She has recently jumped unaffiliated up to 80cm and enjoys popping over a small course out hacking. In her previous home, she regularly took part in cross-country courses.

She is a kind, genuine horse who enjoys getting out, having fun and trying new things. She has been a fantastic confidence-giver for me and has given our family so many happy memories. She has a lovely attitude to life and is the sort of horse who is happiest when she is out doing something with her person.

This is a very sad sale of a super horse. The difficult decision to sell is simply because I don't feel I can continue to give Sandy the time and attention she deserves. I have 2 young horses at home who are taking up lots of my time and sadly my sons have lost interest in riding. With bringing on the younger horses, along with family and work commitments, I know that going forwards I won't be able to give Sandy the time and opportunities she deserves. I would love to find her a kind, knowledgeable home where she can continue to be enjoyed, loved and have lots of adventures.

Fred is a loving, willing and forward horse who thrives on having a job. He has plenty of previous hunting experience, which he thoroughly enjoys, and is a real pleasure to hack. He is a fun ride with a great jump and has also previously successfully competed in Pony Club showjumping, dressage and eventing.

Fred is best suited to a confident rider and would make a lovely horse for someone looking to hack frequently or hunt. Fred always looks after his rider, my daughter has never fallen off him in the four years we have owned him.

He has no vices and is good to shoe, clip, travel, have his teeth done etc. He can occasionally be a little bolshy on the ground, but is generally straightforward and easy to handle.

Fred does have a known veterinary history and may require some ongoing management. Whilst some low-level Pony Club work could be considered for the right rider, we feel hunting and hacking would be the best fit for him moving forward.

Sadly we can no longer give Fred the time he deserves, so are looking for a full loan home where he will be well cared for. He is a special horse to us, so we would like to remain involved in his life. We would also like to visit his prospective home before agreeing the loan and preferably would like applicants to be within approximately a 2-hour drive.
