Legend is a stunning 16.3hh, 6-year-old grey gelding available for rehoming through no fault of his own.

A real head-turner, Legend has beautiful paces and has been produced slowly, correctly and with his future in mind. He has enjoyed a varied education, including hacking, show jumping, cross-country schooling, eventing, working hunter and showing, although he particularly excels at dressage regularly scoring in the 70’s at competitions. He is proving to be a brave jumper, unfazed by a fillers etc - his jumping education has been taken intentionally slowly to focus on building his confidence and technique which is improving all the time.

Legend has achieved two podium finishes at the ROR Regional Championships and has qualified for the ROR National Championships at Aintree.

He is a kind, sweet-natured horse with a lovely temperament and genuinely has not got a nasty bone in his body. He is, however, not a horse for a novice and will need a confident, sympathetic rider who understands him and can provide the reassurance he sometimes requires.

Legend can have the occasional spook and is not yet 100% confident around heavy traffic, although this is improving all the time. He responds well to reassurance from his rider and continues to gain confidence with experience. He has been seen to crib from time to time.

He is excellent to shoe, box, clip and travel.

Legend will be competing at the ROR National Championships at Aintree (18th-23rd August), where he can be seen competing on the Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

PEDIGREE & BLOODLINES

Legend is exceptionally well bred, carrying some of the most influential bloodlines in modern Thoroughbred racing.

Australia is by the legendary Galileo out of the outstanding racemare Ouija Board, a multiple Group 1 winner and European Horse of the Year. Australia himself was a Classic-winning racehorse, winning the Epsom Derby, Irish Derby and Juddmonte International. His pedigree combines two exceptional families through Galileo and Ouija Board.

Galileo, Legend’s grandsire, is one of the most influential stallions of the modern Thoroughbred. He was himself a winner of the Epsom Derby, Irish Derby and King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes and went on to become one of the most successful sires in Thoroughbred history. He was by the legendary Sadler’s Wells out of Urban Sea.

Sadler’s Wells, Legend’s great-grandsire, was one of the defining stallions of the modern Thoroughbred and became a hugely influential sire throughout Europe, producing more than 130 Group 1/Grade 1 winners.

Legend therefore carries a highly distinguished pedigree, combining the Australia, Galileo and Sadler’s Wells bloodlines with an exceptional dam line through Ouija Board.

He has been given a varied and correct education and has already demonstrated genuine ability and success in the dressage arena and ROR competition. Lunar is a quality 5-year-old gelding, recently retired from racing and now ready to begin his next chapter.

Although she never raced, she was in race training, making her eligible for RoR (Retraining of Racehorses).

Diamond is a lovely, kind mare with a sweet temperament, good conformation, and no vices. She is an easy horse to have around and has the attitude to suit a wide variety of homes.

Last year, she unfortunately went through barbed wire, leaving some cosmetic scarring on her front legs. Her legs were fully scanned by the vet, with all results coming back clear, and she was given the all-clear to return to racing. The scars are purely cosmetic and do not affect her soundness.

She hasn’t been in work since November, but she is now coming back into work ready for rehoming.

Diamond has the potential to excel as an eventer, but she would be just as happy as a reliable hack or much-loved family horse. With her fantastic pedigree, she could also be an excellent candidate for a breeding home.

Lux is looking for his forever home after retiring from racing.

I’ve had Lux for the past six months, giving him plenty of time to relax, adjust to life after racing, and simply enjoy being a horse. He is a genuinely kind-natured, affectionate horse with a lovely temperament and a huge amount of potential.

His flatwork is progressing really well, and he hacks confidently both alone and in company. As a big, powerful horse, he can be strong at times, so he is best suited to an experienced rider who will continue his education and bring out the very best in him. There is absolutely no badness in him, and in the right hands he will thrive.

Lux has also started his jumping schooling this week and has taken to it really well. He would make a fantastic all-rounder for someone looking to enjoy riding club activities, clinics, pleasure rides, and a variety of disciplines.

He is already showing a great attitude in his retraining, and with continued schooling he has every opportunity to develop further.

Lux is clean, sound, has no vices, and is a pleasure to have around. He is a lovely, powerful ride with plenty to offer, and finding him a knowledgeable, loving forever home is my absolute priority.

Duke is a lovely pleasent lad to have on the yard. Super easy in the field or the stable. He loves coming in for a fuss and has absolutely no stable vices.

Duke has done everything from eventing, including Bramham grassroots where he was double clear. He’s competed show jumping, pleasure rides and hunting. He would suit a riding club home as he’s fab at everything asked of him. He even hacks out whilst leading a pony on both sides.

He’s very comfortable to ride with a big armchair canter and a lovely soft mouth (has also been Evented bit less and never strong)
