Laid back Registered Clydesdale mare.

A kind, gentle big soul that has been here on the farm with us since a 4yo.

She was backed and ridden away as a 4yo then turned out used as a nanny companion in field to the youngsters.

She is extremely sweet and naturally quiet, well mannered and loves attention. Is good for the farrier, dentist, to trim/ bath, leads in off the quad & is bombproof in traffic.

Lives in or out with mares or geldings and is generally a pleasure to have around.

She’s been back in work this last week, walking and trotting up the lanes.

She’s genuine, needs educating but naturally very quiet and easy.

With mileage Jenny would make a great weight carrying type for a riding school/ trekking center, a family hack or broodmare

Reflected in her price - she does have a few small sarcoids on her chest and under her back legs , these are no where near tack so will not effect her in anyway riding

Confident, Bold, Safe, Dependable
Cracking Allrounder / Happy Hacker / Massive Confidence Giver
Ideal for nervous inexperienced rider or jockeys who want to ride at a slower pace.
Special Requirement / RDA

Kind, Well Mannered, Super Steady and Safe

If your looking for a horse that has impeccable manners on the ground and when riding, something that is super safe, calm and not phased by anything, that is extremely low maintenance and can be looked after by a child.

Despite only being 5 years she is so level headed and mature for her age, she has a laid back personality and attitude.
Peaches is as straightforward as they come with absolutely no quirks or vices.

Peaches is a really nice calm considerate girl, who is unbelievably safe. Ideal for beginner riders, or riders who wants to progress and have some fun, she is super steady, calm and gentle in every way, she has more woah than go, even tho she is super safe, she responds to the leg and has 3 excellent paces, with flare and enthusiasm, she is very sensible and can be forward going if your a more experienced rider, not spooky, sharp or silly in anyway, she is responsive to the leg if you can ride, whilst remaining calm and relaxed, she is extremely willing and will do anything you as, she loves to jump a course of small coloured and rustic fences.

Peaches has spent the last 15 months in a riding school, where she participates in our low level showjumping, cross country, In hand, fancy dress, handy pony competitions.
She is a firm favourite with our lead rein classes, special requirement and RDA rides, both ridden and during stable management and therapy sessions.

She is a fantastic all-rounder.

This is a really fantastic horse for anyone to build up their confidence, continue learning to ride and progress on.
Definitely a 1st and 2nd horse.

Exceptional mare with a heart of gold, she is super loving and affectionate, She is currently working in the riding school, where she is being ridden by all level riders, from complete beginners who have never sat on a horse before up to advanced riders where she participates in our flat work lessons, privates and groups, with the same enthusiasm now as when he first started her riding school career.

She is very genuine and loves to hack out, she does not pull, rush, spook or get nervous of anything, Peaches will hack through the heaviest of very fast moving traffic without batting an eye lid, she will hack out alone or in company, she is 100% safe, steady and collected when ridden in all paces across open fields, regardless of wether she is at the front, middle, back of the ride or on his own, she will not rush, pull, race or try an overtake even on the way home.

Absolutely no vices, when ridden, in the stable or in the field and has brilliant manners enabling anyone to handle her safely and with ease, will stand for hours with no head collar or lead rope being groomed and bathed, she loves being pampered. She will stand patiently at a mounting block.

She lives out in a mixed herd but is equally happy to be stabled, she keeps herself to herself and never causes any trouble, she has no marish traits, not clingy, she is happy to be stabled and turned out on her own.

Has excellent manners with the farrier and currently barefoot, she is equally happy to be shoed.
She is excellent to catch, load, travel with the farrier, dentist and vet.

She does not need to be ridden every day she can go without work then be tacked up and ridden without any fuss, she is extremely low maintenance.
She has never been lame had laminitis, sweet itch or sarcoids. No lumps or bumps

Passes are annual Licence Inspection which is equivalent to a stage 2 vetting.

  • Good to handle and respectful despite her size!
Hollington Gem (Juliet) is a gorgeous rising 6yo shire mare standing at approx 18hh. Juliet was backed and ridden away last summer and then had the winter off through no fault of her own. Due to her owners health Juliet is now unfortunately looking for a new home.

She has been a dream to bring back into work and has never been silly, spooky or strong (her first day back she was being ridden bareback and bridless trotting round the arena!). Juliet has a very kind temperament and is great with other horses, she makes a perfect happy hacker and/or nannying horse for the babies to see the world. She waits patently for traffic and has been unphased by busses, flappy bags, dogs, motorbikes etc.

Juliet would be plenty safe enough for a novice rider, RDA or a non horses partner to tag along on rides etc. but she must go to a knowledgeable home that understand shire horse care due to her size and breed, and although she loves the odd canter through the fields out hacking, she shouldn’t be doing a massive amount of faster work or work in small arenas etc. in order to preserve her joints long term. Juliet is very respectful of humans on the ground too and is very good to lead & handle. I adore this mare and so does her owner so she will only be going to the best of homes - if I had the funds then I’d be keeping her for myself to enjoy!

Juliet passed a 2 stage vetting just over a year ago and is up to date with vaccinations, dentist, farrier etc.

Open to viewings & vettings (located NN12) but unfortunately no loans or trials etc.

Womble
16.2hh
Cob
Massive weight carrier
Kind, Calm, Loving Chap

Womble is an impressive 16.2hh weight carrying cob, with a loving temperament and calm disposition. He is easy to handle on the ground and under saddle and is always well mannered.

Womble was purchased at 3 years old, turned out to mature, then professional broken at 3 years 10 months he was then introduced to the riding school setting where he was ridden by staff and competent clientele, he was a quick learner and settled into this very busy environment without any problems, he participated in our group and private lessons, working on the flat, over poles and progressed quickly onto lateral work, small coloured and rustic fences, although still relatively green in the school, he was eager to learn, though new to poles and certain ridden exercises, he approaches each new task with a genuine willingness and calm disposition. He is not spooky, spiny, sharp, strong, just still developing his understanding. As a blank canvas, he offers the perfect opportunity for an independent rider to guide his progress and help shape his education. With time and consistency, he shows promise in working in a soft outline, he is developing good balance, lateral movement, and responsiveness to aids. He also continued to improve over small fence and log with quiet enthusiasm.

Womble hacks out confidently alone or in company and is entirely unfazed by the most challenging environments. He remains calm when faced with heavy traffic, including buses, tractors, lorries, and large agricultural machinery. He will wait patiently at roundabouts or traffic lights and never reacts with fear or tension. On open ground, he stays composed at all paces, whether leading, following, or riding solo. He never pulls, rushes, or attempts to overtake—even when returning home.

His exceptional manners extend to every aspect of handling. Womble is easy to catch, groom, bath, load, clip, and handle for the vet, dentist, and farrier. He currently lives barefoot but has previously been shod and is comfortable with either. He stands quietly for long periods without any restraint, happily enjoying being groomed and pampered. Children regularly lead and handle him without issue, and he will calmly stand at the mounting block until the rider is comfortably in the saddle.

More recently, he has begun to show a dislike for arena work. I believe this is largely due to the amount of schooling he has been asked to do, with very little variety. As a result, he has become a little stale and reluctant to go forward in the arena, unfortunately we have limited hacking facilities, so arena work is prominently where we ride, as we do not have access to bridleways, just grass verges alongside roads. Initially we felt that focusing on arena schooling would be the best approach however in hindsight a variation would have been more beneficial.

Womble absolutely thrives when hacking out and continues to perform exceptionally well, even in heavy, fast-moving traffic. He takes busy and challenging road environments in his stride and continues to excel in these situations. I feel he would really benefit from a break from arena work. However, as we are a riding school, arena work is our 1st point of call.
Unfortunately Womble is not earning his keep, hence the reduced price.

Womble is a genuine confidence-giver who can be left unridden for weeks or even months and still be safe and consistent when brought back into work. He is incredibly low maintenance. He has never suffered from laminitis, sweet itch, sarcoids, or lameness, and has passed all annual riding school inspections with flying colours (equivalent to a Stage 2 vetting).

He currently lives out at night in a large mixed herd and stabled during the day but is equally content stabled or turned out full time, he is happy to be stabled / turned out solo, he is not clingy at all, he absolutely loves people and attention and adores a cuddle. He is quiet, independent, and never causes trouble in the field or stable. Being sold on behalf of a working livery.

Serious enquiries only. Please call or WhatsApp for more information or to arrange a viewing.

Iva is a super smart 15’3hh bay 14yo standard bred mare.

She is safe and sensible, and loves her hacking. We have done some light schooling and showjumping with Iva but it is not her forte. She’s happy to do it, but much prefers hacking then going around in circles.

However having said that someone could put some work into her schooling and jumping and get a lovely allrounder.

She has seen all types of traffic and has been solid as a rock on the roads, she’s great to go across fields and big open spaces. She will happily hack alone, or in company. She is snaffle mouthed and a really kind and genuine mare.

Iva is up to date with everything, vaccinations, teeth, worming, shoes. Shes great to catch, shoe, box and travel. She did need sedation to clip over the winter but I feel over time she will be fine to do with someone patient.

We are looking for a hacking home for Iva, or even an endurance home.

She is suitable for most riders but no novice or nervous people, we want her to go to a someone half experienced for her own sake.

She really deserves a great home where she will be loved forever. She will make someone very very happy.

Iva is with us on sales livery

Based near Badminton

Holly is every teenagers dream young horse to produce and continue her education. She has the most fantastic trainable temperament, wants to please and loves her work.

She came over from Ireland a couple of months ago where she was broken in and lightly produced by her breeders. She went XC schooling, SJ arena hire and hunted. Since being here will have slowly continued her education on the flat and jumping.

Holly is now more than ready to start her competitive career. There is no doubt she will be a stunning Highend Allrounder for someone.

The perfect home for Holly would be an RC/BE amateur type home, who continues her education to make someone a lovely Allrounder.

At home Holly is a pleasure to do, she’s out in a small herd of mares but equally happy on her own. She hacks alone and in company. Vices free and is the sort that doesn’t need to be worked every day.

Homebred, retired from racing sound, just not the job for her. Had good all round foundations of retraining

Betty- 15.2 7yr bay tb mare by Heeraat. ROR Eligible with the ability to be produced on in whatever sphere you chose, or equally be a fun all-rounder for fun rides, hacking and 'best mate' jobs. Responsive but not reactive or sharp, a happy medium of being able to put your leg on but not needing an inhaler after getting her to trot.
She has a lovely soft mouth and is showing some really nice bits of work, she tries hard to please and has started some basic lateral work and understanding of a contact.

She has done some fun rides, arena hire, RC SJ and XC schooling so she is ready to produce on with well rounded foundations out of racing in place. She hacks alone and in company, happy to lead babies out or go behind. Sane in open spaces and will go for a canter (with brakes) or wander along when out and about. Hacked (and schooled) by an 11yr old. Used to a farm environment inc tractors, cows, sheep, quads etc.

She enjoys popping a fence and is genuine with a 'have a go' attitude. She doesn't need riding every day to stay sane, and comes back into work easily after a holiday. Good to catch, lead, load, travel, shoe, bath, for vaccs/dentist. Is sedated lightly to clip as is tickly. Happy out individually or with others.
Is a bit of a 'cat' and pulls faces on the ground until she knows you, once she realises they're not bothering you she gives up and is incredibly loving, she loves an ear rub.
She does weave, more so in a morning if the others go out without her, it lessens as she settles in. Clean legged and no lumps or bumps. Up to date with vaccs/shoeing/worming/dentist and physio.

She was 5 stage vetted Friday with remarks on an over reach she did a month or 2 ago which has healed well, farrier happy and just needs to grow out, and slight pelvis asymmetry which we were already aware of, and had been checked by owner's vet end of last year and given the ok to crack on as she was beginning to do more work.

She is on sales livery. If no answer please leave a message and I'll reply ASAP.

Whisper came in on part exchange. So far, has not put a foot wrong.
Has hacked alone and been jumping around Felbridge and Pycombe at their unaffiliated show jumping show, jumping clear around the 80 cm.
Stands quietly on the lorry and is very chilled in the warm-up and show environment. Popped around East Bysshe cross country schooling in and out of the water, over ditches, hedges, timber, and tyres.

Would make a fabulous all-rounder for someone. A sensitive soul who needs a confident, quiet rider. Not sharp or unsafe, but not suited to a novice. Trying to save my time answering calls from unsuitable people. Works beautifully on the flat and would go out tomorrow and produce a nice dressage test.

No stable vices. Good to trim feet but is hammer shy so needs some sedalin to save everybody’s time. Once he is familiar with the farrier he becomes easier. Currently shod in front and bare foot behind. Good feet.

He is a perfect teenagers horse or young lady looking to event or hunt. He is not going to suit a wobbly nervous novice or an older lady or a heavy man. Although quiet he is a sensitive ride and appropriates a quiet balanced rider. He is not a hot ride and is never fizzy silly or strong.

Has never bucked or reared with us.
He can just sometimes be a little forward off the leg into canter the first few transitions. We are by no means professional riders and we can ride him just fine, he would just be happier with someone brave quiet and that wants to get on with it. Not a Sharpe horse in anyway very quiet to ride. Just trying to save my time and find him a nice rider.

16hh (not measured) dark bay 16yo gelding.

Irish Sport Horse x Welsh Cob. Classic native type. Cheap to keep, doesn’t need hard feed. No fancy lotions, potions or medications. Lives out or happy to come in at night.

Well behaved for the farrier/vet with excellent feet. Turns out with others or on his own.

Very smart with super clean legs and a lovely mover.

Was supposed to be my “sensible” purchase for mid-life but I want to go back to having thoroughbreds which I’ve had my whole life and just suit me better.

I’ve had him 9 months and he’s been out of work pretty much the whole time. He’s quite “welsh” to handle. He’s not naughty and would never bite, kick, buck or rear - he’s just quite strong and it’s not what I’m used to and I really don’t enjoy it.

The little riding I have done he was fabulous. Followed my husband’s bike off the yard very happily. Rock solid in traffic. Last sat on him just before Easter - can provide videos.

No time wasters. Only experienced, kind, adult homes who have had similar horses previously will be considered. References will be required.

Open to any vetting. Sold from field.

Based Oxfordshire/Gloucestershire border.

I have owned Betty for the last seven years and this is a sad sale due to lack of time. Together we have had some wonderful adventures, riding the South Downs, discovering the New Forest and the Jurassic Coast. She's a great and very comfortable hack, no bucking or rearing and although strong has good breaks.

She is completely bombproof in traffic. Will happily jump logs and small fences but I have never had Her in a school or put her over coloured jumps.

The issues ; (there always are) - she has never come into season so not suitable as a brood mare, she is quite bargy on the ground when food is concerned she needs a home where grass is limited.
Betty will make some one a lovely friendly hack, she could do more and would be a fabulous second pony or mother daughter share.

Gary - Via Galactica - is a 16hh, TB, Gelding, grandson to Galileo. He only ran once on the flat and he's just not a racehorse, he's a gentle soul who's nice to everyone, grown ups, children or other animals,

Gary went to the beach to get some ad videos after 6 months in the field with no fuss or bother, he hacks on a long rein and he goes alone or in company, good in traffic even standing to wait for the train to pass (see video), vice free and easy to handle.

Gary would make a great project for someone or he'd be happy plodding around the roads he really is versatile and would try his best no matter what the job is

I bought him as a project but I've just not had the time, he has a naturally flowing stride but is a fairly blank canvas in the school.

As far as I am aware he's never jumped under saddle but I've loose schooled him and he was jumping for fun, showed bags of scope and made a great shape over a decent size fence (see video)

Based near Tenby, South West Wales

Imported from Ireland as a rising 4yo.

Has previously won at BD Prelim.  He’s a lovely, boy who gives his best, but he’s much more at home hacking than schooling. Good in traffic, enjoys a steady pace and is happiest exploring the lanes, fields, and bridleways.

Stabled on a small farm so use to tractors, busy roads seen lorries, dogs, he takes it all in his stride. Hacks alone or in company. He’s a sweet, willing lad who would suit a confident, sympathetic rider wanting a safe hacking partner with some schooling ability.

He does pop a jump, but due to a hind leg injury, (latest scans available to buyer to view) is now suited to hacking and light schooling only. Currently being ridden three times a week. He’s sound and happy in this lifestyle.

Good to clip, catch, farrier, teeth, fully Vaccinated, lives in/out. loads/travels well either trailer/lorry, easy to handle, loves fuss.

Home very important than price, Happy to discuss injury to buyer.

No texts please, phone calls only.
