Introducing Van de Kari, an outstanding 8-year-old, 16.1hh stallion looking for his next ambitious rider. "Thomas," as he's known at home, is a horse with immense character and even greater potential.

Van de Kari is exceptionally well-bred, by two 1.60m horses and graded with Breeders Elite. Despite being a stallion, he boasts an incredibly easy and well-behaved temperament. He's currently turned out with geldings, travels calmly with mares on the lorry, and never screams at shows. He hacks beautifully, standing quietly even in the presence of mares. He's been at home with me for the past two years and is genuinely easy to do in all respects.

Living without an arena, Thomas is a true hacking star. He's completely traffic-proof, confidently hacking on 60mph roads, and I've even hacked him in a halter. He's barefoot and has an impeccable soundness record, never having been unsound or lame in the four years I've owned him.

Thomas has jumped up to Foxhunter level and last August qualified for the main ring at Hickstead at 1.20m. He is an incredibly careful jumper and truly dislikes touching a pole. We have schooled around 135 at home and he's also quick against the clock.

A reluctant sale for the right rider

This has been an agonising decision, but as an amateur rider who lacks the necessary accuracy, I've come to realise Thomas needs a rider who can truly do him justice. He's an intelligent horse who, over 1.05m, truly seeks an accurate partner. Recently, a young woman rode him and competed him up to 115, and he showed no thought of stopping. For this reason, his price reflects the incredible success I know he will achieve with a precise and capable rider.

Boo (Mayfly IV) is an 8 year old bay homebred Hanoverian x TB mare by sir shutterfly. Boo has competed up to BE100 and showjumped up to 1.10.

Boo is a forward thinking mare with a great jump. Due to the owners circumstances in finishing their farriery course she had the start of 2024 off before she was brought back into work in July 2024 when the owner/riders course was complete. Due to the riders loss of love for eventing she has been aimed at showjumping as more of a focus. Even though she has not been eventing over the last year boo has been based on a dressage yard so has been kept up together with her flat work schooling and has come on in this area leaps and bounds.

I believe boo would suit a teenager or an ambitious home who is set on getting out competing and having fun! As she is so bold it lends her to being forgiving if the jockey doesn’t get her right every time and her take it on attitude will give her next jockey plenty of confidence into a jump. I think she would excel in showjumping 1m/105 or grassroots eventing.

Good to handle at competitions, good to shoe/hack/clip/load/travel. Although she is a super fun horse she is not a novice ride because she’s forward thinking, so would not suit someone who just wants to doodle around.

Trixi van de Atcherhoek is a lovely up and coming horse, she’s jumping Newcomers and Foxhunter classes as well as competing internationally at Bolesworth in the 6yrs classes.

She’s a late starter only started competing 12 months ago as we had to many horses and has already caught up with her age group.

She’s a modern quality horse with lots of blood making her a forward ride, by the 1.60 stallion Echo Van’s Spieveld. However, Trixi is safe and sensible to ride with a fantastic temperament and works in 3 nice paces with flying changes established. A very sweet kind natured horse.

Very sad sale of this incredibly lovely horse. Sam is a 7yo Belgian Warmblood. I've owned him since he was 3 and have produced him up through the levels. He has evented up to novice very successfully and would be an amazing grassroots horse for someone but is also a careful and scopey jumper with plenty of ability to pure show jump.

He has numerous clears at Foxhunter as a 6yo and regularly jumps clear at 1.15 currently.

He has been a total pleasure to produce and gets stronger every year. He is a big horse with a lot of movement and scope that he has been given the time to grow into.

He's ready to go on to his new home where he will be an out and out winner for someone.

He is great out hacking, alone or in company he walks out on the buckle. You can lead him or lead off him with ease.

A difficult decision, so to THE BEST home

Beau needs no introduction, well known, and our journey hasn’t all been plain sailing. It’s no secret he was very spooky as a young horse, don’t think we jumped a double clear until he was 6. Boy has he made up for that. He just loves the job. He was placed in the Silver League Winter Final, being near the top in our area over 18months.

He’s lovely to look after, mannerly and loving. Lives our most of summer, suits his sharp nature. He’s not at all dangerous and always ridden by his veteran tiny mum in simple tack. Recently had another jockey compete him to show he’s not just my ride. He’s naturally very careful and quick, always looking forward.

He would be an asset to any yard, but want him to be cared for as now. Easily jumps 1.30, would definitely be a good 1.40/speed horse, or just a nice consistent horse. No novices please.

Beau has given me 3 fabulous competition years, forgives my mistakes, jumped at all top show centres inc Hickstead Main ring twice. I would have liked to aim for Veteran European with him, but BS have moved the goal posts and I am not a 1.40 rider. I would love and be very proud to see him go on.
