Very special unicorn sought as a mother/daughter share.

We offer an experienced and very loving home, with incredible support (based with a 5* event rider).

We don't anticipate ever having to move the right horse on, they will become a very cherished part of our family and will want for absolutely nothing (we have the best vet, physio, farrier etc support).

About Mum:
- Vet and experienced rider (youth was spent in pony club, hunting, eventing to BE Novice and dressage to elementary)
- Looking for enough quality to be able to be competitive at BD with potential to go up the levels to medium/advanced medium
- Goes to shows on her own - so horse must be VERY easy to manage on the ground
- Working prelim/novice now is fine.

About daughter:
- Incredibly tall 12 year old, coming off a 14.2
- She's jumping 70/80 confidently, is active in pony club and is hoping to event , with a view to doing BE grassroots in the future.
- She's a neat, well-balanced rider, but not got much competition experience yet
- Needs something kind, genuine and forgiving, with some competition experience already under their belt to help her out.

We definitely don't want anything sharp / sensitive / fizzy / hot / strong.

This special horse must:
- Be great in open spaces, both on their own and in company
- Have no ridden vices (we're ok with an occasional excited buck, but absolutely no rearing, napping, bolting etc)
- 15.2-16.2hh and 6-10 years to be future-proof for us (would consider 5 year old if wise beyond it's years)
- Ideally be experienced at 90/100, happy to step down to 70 for now - doesn't need an affiliated record
- Enjoy flat work

We offer a very special home, and have a realistic budget for the right horse.

Please WhatsApp details and videos in first instance.

16.3 grey ISH gelding, 6yrs by Island Commander (TB).

Striking, quality young horse, athletic blood type.

Very consistent- double clear in all 5 of his events this year including 4th BE90open at Poplar Park, 7th Burnham Market BE100, 5th Oasby BE100. Double clear and 5th in his first Novice at Aston Le Walls.

Scopey, careful jump - double clears at British Novice, Discovery and Newcomers. Bold cross country - not phased by ditches, water, skinnies. Correct uphill paces, impressive gallop. Snaffle mouthed.

Massive potential, would be a serious contender for 6 year old championships and beyond. Ready to progress with a competent, positive jockey. No novices. Would suit a professional or ambitious amateur/YR based in a professional yard.

Value will increase the more he does. Fit and ready for the season.

15.1/15.2 5yo Classy Connemara gelding

Harry came over from ireland as a 4yo having been jumped and hunted in Ireland. He has since competed consistently at Prelim dressage with scores up to 68%. He has 3 very smart paces, sits on the bit and has a soft snaffle mouth.

He has been out to arena hires, clear rounds, camps and clinics, jumping upto 80cm at shows and 1m in training. He is a scopey careful type but is brave and genuine on any stride. He has scope to go on and I believe would easily jump up to 1.10m with time and education.
He is great cross country and has jumped at a range of venues including after events at 80/90cm. He has competed at 80cm 2 phase eventing aswell as 80cm ODE

He is a Kind and easy horse to handle on the ground, has been ridden by children and is honest and reliable, and always in a snaffle. Good to shoe, box, catch. Hacks out alone and in company, good to canter in open fields. Travelled in both a lorry and trailer.

We are looking for a competitive 2 star schoolmaster or mistress for lease. Based in the SE on a professional show jumping yard.

Our daughter is just finishing A-levels and is looking for something to have fun at Novice/2 star. She has competed at 2 star but looking to get more experience at this level.

Mum is a retired 5 star event rider. Very knowledgable home with an invested team behind us. Attention to detail and fully focused on happy and well horses.

Sadly we don’t have the budget to buy what we are looking for but hoping someone might have a horse that needs to step down or a side lined jockey.

Shorter or longer term to suit.

Please get in touch to discuss.

Cefnydd Caswallon (Casper) is a wonderful 9 year old gelding. He came to us age 6 and my 16 year old daughter has had a brilliant 3 years with him going up the levels to 100.

He’s a natural eventer and excels in dressage, moving with 3 beautiful, fluid paces regularly scoring sub 30.

He’s confident and consistent jumping and absolutely loves to be out XC - ears pricked and brave.

He would be perfect for Grassroots championship having qualified for BE90 regional youth eventing at Chillington Hall last year. He could easily go up the levels in BD.

Casper is such an easy, well mannered horse- genuine, calm and easy to handle. He hacks alone or in company-he’s been hunting and he travels really well.

He has a beautiful new GS saddle that would be included in the sale.

15.2 mare by Ramiro B out of a Jaguar Mail mare.

Pip is a beautiful stamp, lovely inside and out, good to box, clip and shoe. Lives in or out, gets on well with other horses and loves fuss and cuddles from her humans. Very sociable, good with dogs and general yard chaos. No trouble at all to have on the yard - she is even easy to muck out!

Pip is working well on the flat with lateral movements and changes established, more than capable of producing a nice test. She loves hacking and is brilliant in traffic.

Jumping is where Pip really comes into her own. She is brave and incredibly careful. Bred to event, her sire and damsire need no introduction. I really believe this will be her forte. She has done a bit of everything, been on numerous fun rides, XC schooling and jumped up to discovery. She has been team chasing and to a hunter trial. She has shown all the attributes required to event successfully. Would hunt, albeit she would like to be near the front!

Pip was broken in last year and did a little before being turned away for winter. She has been done slowly and correctly, whilst being given plenty of time to mature.

As cool as Pip is, she is bred to do a job and can be buzzy, hot and a bit sharp and at times. She loves her job and there is no malice in her, she just wants to get on with it! She really does need someone who can ride and keep producing her up the levels. Strictly not for a novice or a nervous rider. She requires a rider who is as keen to do the job as she is. A competent and competitive teen or small adult would adore her.

Pip has been a pleasure and so much fun to do, I will be sad to see her go. A good home is sought for this fantastic little horse.

For sale on behalf of breeder.

Shannondale Freddy

Fred is a very attractive, genuine gelding with three expressive paces, a bold jump and an exceptional temperament. He is an absolute pleasure to train and ride.

He has been produced by a young rider with excellent support from her experienced and knowledgeable mum, alongside regular coaching. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a horse who has been a hugely loved family horse, yet cared for and managed to a professional standard. He is incredibly easy to keep — happiest living out 24/7 to mooch, then coming in to be ridden and fed.

Fred is beautifully schooled and well established on the flat. He is confident with leg yield, shoulder-in, travers and half pass, along with medium trot and canter, counter canter, walk–canter and canter–walk transitions, and rein back. He has a naturally positive attitude to his work and always tries his hardest for his rider.

He has a genuine, bold and careful jump. Fred has had years of correct gymnastic training and has seen all types of fillers, water trays, etc., making him extremely brave and straightforward.

Cross-country, Fred is a real standout. He is incredibly bold and brave, and once a partnership is established, you can simply point and go. He jumps in a lovely rhythm, stays rideable, and is unfazed by any type of fence — ditches, steps, water, etc. He genuinely loves his job.

Fred’s kind, affectionate nature is one of his greatest assets. He is easy and safe to handle in every way, with no quirks or complications. He really is the definition of a “good boy” with a heart of gold.

Fred regularly benefits from water treadmill sessions, Theraplate sessions, and routine chiropractor/physio care. He has truly been treated like a king for the past five years.

Fred would make a fantastic partner for a competitive grassroots rider. This is the level at which he is happiest, and homes aiming to move up to Juniors/2* will not be considered, as his long-term happiness and welfare are our priority.

Fred is excellent to shoe, clip, load, and travel. He hacks confidently on the road and in open spaces, both alone and in company. He has also hunted with both mum and daughter and has proven to be a total superstar. He has field mastered bloodhounds and is absolutely brilliant out hunting. He stands, follows, leads walks. He loves beach rides and his young rider regularly hacks him bareback.

A 10* home is essential for this very special horse. His family are heartbroken to be selling him, but his rider now has ambitions to move up the levels, while Fred is happiest staying at grassroots.

All prospective homes will be carefully vetted. Plenty of year-round turnout is a must, as his future lifestyle is extremely important to us.

Fred is being sold on behalf of his owners, and I (coach) will be handling all enquiries as I know him very well and want to make sure he finds the perfect home.

Stunning 16.1hh 4yo (2022) Plot Blue/Nigrasine (TB) line, so bred for top level sport. She is blood, athletic with a lovely natural step. This beautiful lady has been on this planet before!

Lightly backed by a small amateur lady on her own, before coming to us to find her, her new human. She’s literally the easiest, kindest young horse I think we’ve ever encountered. Only for sale due to personal circumstances meaning her owner is reducing numbers.

Purchased as a 3yo, with the intention of keeping her forever, she is being slowly produced with the future in mind. That said, she already rides beautifully on the flat, and to a fence already for her age.

This wonderful mare has scope within her paces, jump and trainable attitude to think she’ll very easily excel through to the highest level with an ambitious amateur or professional. Rarely do you encounter a horse with a talent and work ethic like hers - she’s truly a superstar in the making!

She’s easy to ride to any fence xc, naturally brave, including skinnies, ditch, water etc.

7th at her first ODE last weekend.

Not spooky or looky, just gets on with the job.

She loads, travels and stands on the truck on her own, with no bother if you take another one off. Easy to clip, worm, shoe, hack etc, etc, etc

Excellent trial facilities at home in Rutland, or for hire within a 10 mile radius.

She really is a superstar in the making - with all the talent and the attitude that would enable an amateur athlete to realise their wildest dreams!

Qartoon de Muze x Denzel Van’t Meulenhof

The lovely elvis, a big green Labrador that is always willing to please, he’s very green for his age after starting late due to his size but is showing so much potential for an amateur/pro to produce. Elvis is super easy, straight forward and safe, currently popping around a course at home and away from home, attended a training show last week and really showed his promise.

Hacks for miles on his own and in company, a really lovely person to have around with a great brain. Elvis has plenty of jump and movement for somebody ambitious wanting a lovely young horse to produce for any discipline, although being safe, he is a young green horse so will require somebody that isn’t a novice. Jumps fillers, water trays and has seen xc fences, really want to go out and see the world and please his rider.

Thomma is a stunning 9 year old mare with an exceptional competition record at Novice/2* level. She has consistently produced outstanding results, including achieving a remarkable British Eventing record score of 17 in the dressage at Novice level, winning her section by a significant margin. Throughout her career, she has accumulated numerous wins and top placings, with an impressive record of double clears and, notably, never incurring a cross country fault.

Cross country is where Thomma truly excels. She is incredibly bold, brave, and naturally quick across the ground, always looking for the flags and attacking her fences with confidence. She knows her job inside out and gives her rider an unbelievable feel.

Thomma was due to step up to Intermediate level this season, however her sale has unfortunately put those plans on hold. She is an exciting mare with plenty more to give and all the attributes to continue progressing up the levels.

She is not a novice ride and requires an experienced, confident rider, as she can be hot and feisty at times and enjoys her work. I have personally ridden Thomma since she was a 4 year old on behalf of her owner, so know her extremely well.

This is a very sad sale due to personal circumstances, and finding the right home for her is of the utmost importance. Thomma does have a few quirks, which can be discussed openly with serious purchasers.

Please no nervous riders, novices, or first horse homes. Thomma is a genuine competition mare who thrives with experienced handling and correct management.

Iris was brought from the prestigious monart sales as a 4 year old. She has successfully competed at novice eventing and clear intermediate XC. Her last event was in 2023 so she could now be downgraded and a very competitive grass roots horse .

Due to work commitments and knee surgery since 2024 she has turned to pure showjumping where she has proved careful and competitive at 110/ 120 level. She has got all her double clears at foxhunter for 2025 and 2026 and jumped triple clear in a silver league semi final qualifier 2025.

Iris is lovely to ride on the flat, training at medium level dressage and regularly competes at intermediate combined training. She has changes both ways and is very level and adjustable to fence . She is not strong and can be ridden in a snaffle in all three phases.

Iris is a lovely, polite horse to deal with. She is excellent to hack alone and in company. Very good to catch, shoe, clip and load .

Iris has always been ridden by an amateur , however she can be sensitive and requires a balanced jockey. She can also be horse shy in a warm up and around other horses but this is very manageable . For these reasons she would not be for a novice but would suit a competent teenager .

She does have a few small sarcoids under her belly which have never been an issue but are reflected in her price.

Iris has truly been a horse of a lifetime and will only be sold to a 5* home.

  • Must be bold, scopey and honest and love the job as much as his rider, while able to do a nice test

We are looking for a new member of our team to partner my son at this level. He lives for his sport and horses, and his commitment and dedication to them is rarely seen in someone his age.

Unfortunately his pony of a lifetime has suffered an injury and won’t compete this season, so we are taking the opportunity to look for his next team mate.

He’s coming off of ponies and while he likes a bigger engine, the horse needs to be rideable and respectful and tolerate the odd miss.

While we are a very active PC and event home, ultimately we are a family home with the horses being family members, so this next horse must be a nice person and fit in to this environment.

We aren’t in a rush so happy to wait for the right horse and have a realistic budget for the horse that we need.

She is very easy to have around at home and at competitions. Great to hack.
Ready to give her next jockey lots of fun, success and experience.
Very sad sale.

He is very easy to look after at home and is a real yard favourite.

Sharky has alot of talent but requires a competent rider to bring out the best in him. On his day he can be super competitive but due to greeness is still inconsistent on the XC phase. He is looking for a home where someone can give him more time to bring out the best in him whether that be in eventing/SJ or dressage. Has also hunted and was very well behaved.

He has been owned by the same owners since a 4 year old so full history known.

Very good to shoe, box , load , clip etc and easy to have on the lorry .

We are well aware we are looking for the impossible but have always been successful so no harm in looking!

Through a series of the usual horse misfortunes, including catastrophic injury, sudden loss and lameness, I find myself without much joy in riding.

All being well the 'sportier' models amongst our horsey family will return to gainful employment after the Summer. But I would love to try and have some fun, without the pressure of high level competition in the meantime.
Picture the scene a beautiful summer morning (or evening) hack around the Surrey Hills. Or an evening SJ clinic over the dizzy heights of 90cm. or a fun ride trotting in and out of the water jump with the kids - all without the threat of dying in the process! I am not trying to replace my small tour dressage horses (time will do that) I simply want to remember what it means to have some fun.

So either an eventing schoolmaster or perhaps a horse who has seen and done it at a high level and would love a step down and a varied life and to be loved!

15hh - 16.2hh, gelding or mare. 8yrs +. Must be sound (enough for the job) and sane (this is non negotiable) I only have enough life insurance for my dressage lot.

Why might you consider this you may be asking? if you have a lovely horse that you can't sell for some reason, want back in 6, 12, 24 months for some reason or love him/her too much to turn them over to the young rider market to be risked, this may suit.

We have them at home, a track record of previous loans, masses of all year sand turnout, every day means every day, fabulous stables, brilliant International arena, hacking etc. Our vets, trainers (well known), farriers, physios and grooms will all tell you if they were a horse they would live with us. It wouldn't suit anyone wanting a horse campaigned, on a big yard. They would live with our big dressage boys, rehab Spanish, Shetland and retired (and a few sheep!).

Open minded on breed, size, age, medical etc. There are just a couple of criteria that are critical.

In Winter I ride under lights at night, often on my own in all weathers - they must be safe in this without blinkers!
Hacking Safely for us includes traffic, farm vehicles, open space, roads in company and alone, without the need for draw reins for safety!
Please no 17.2hh or rising 4 years olds.
No rehabilitations ( I have enough of my own!) and a PHD in this, I don't need any more case studies.
Nothing that has to be led around in a nose ring! We really care about having horses who are 'nice characters'
Please email in first instance with any ideas. We are based close to Guildford.
  • Loan or possible Lease - NOT BUYING AT MOMENT
  • To join family yard of Dressage horses who live like Kings and Queens
  • May suit much loved horse to step down, pregnancy break or just a plain no nonsense loan home
