Future potential Workers or Dressage pony.

Jessie is a 14.1h 2012 Chestnut registered Welsh D Mare with 4 whites & a star. She has a very attractive Welsh head and a real look at me attitude in the show ring. She has presence and quality and will do well at showing once produced. Her movement is straight, and she has such a naturally balanced canter that is sure to be an asset if you wish to have a future dressage star. Equally Jessie has a nice little pop in her and is showing promise over both natural & coloured fences.

Jessie was bred by the Schofield family at Dearne Valley Stud, she is by their prolific stallion, Dearne Valley Gold Bullion, who has sired some of the studs most successful horses. She is half-sister to my Palomino colt Dearne Valley Sundance (who i sadly lost to EGS in 2014). Jessie's breeding has some great sire lines including the legendary Trevallion Flash Jack and his equally successful son Trevallion Jacks Image. She has Roan, Palomino & Dun/Buckskin lines, so it would be interesting to know her DNA as she may be an asset to any stud, wanting to breed for colour. Some of Jessie's siblings are out being shown successfully, including with Scott Gibbons of Tymor Stud, they are proving to be consistent champions & always in the medals.

She hacks in company over open fields and has been ridden on quiet town roads and has been passed by cars, vans, motorbikes, trailers & buses etc. She is snaffle mouthed but does require an experienced rider as she can get ‘stuck’ and not take the lead or refuse to walk past something scary, she has however been ridden by many novice’s when hacking in company, if your happy to just toddle behind. She is hacking alone regularly but again can get ‘sticky’ and naps, when first leaving the yard area and does require a whip to get going. Once out and riding forward she will hack alone nicely.

Currently Jessie is turned out with a small private mixed herd and eats hay & haylage, beds on straw or shavings and to my knowledge she has no allergies etc. She is good to handle on the yard but can be a little ‘welshy’ and head strong/pushy at times, so not ideal for a small child or novice. She is easy to prepare for shows and has traveled in trailers, 7.5tonnes & 3.5tonne box vans, she loads & travels fine but does sweat up. She is a good doer and doesn’t require any feeding up and to the best of my knowledge she doesn’t get excitable from feeds etc. The farrier has commented on her good well balanced and strong feet. She is currently shod in front but could easily go barefoot.

To date Jessie has been shown extensively in-hand from a 6month old foal and she is very well trained in this area, she has a bundle of rosettes under her belt. She has been to a couple of ridden shows, 1 being a championship show, were she went indoors in an evening performance & stabled away from home. More recently she has been to a couple of local shows and apart from being fidgety in the line-up, she was very well behaved and placed high in all her classes. Recently we have done a XC endurance 25k ride and she jumped everything and was a little star Inc. going through a river & riding on the roads. We have attended natural horsemanship ground work clinics also. She has been to a local SJ to do the clear round, popped round a small novice workers course showing big potential in this area! Doesn’t look at anything just green. We have done fun beach rides were she (after some persuasion) went in the sea & had a swim!! & is soon to attend a local un-affiliated BD intro test, where I am happy for anyone to come along and see her in action.

In the school Jessie is green and does need more work. The basics are there for walk, trot, canter and a small pop. She is fidgety in her head / contact, but this will come with more education. She has again been ridden by novices in the school but wants an experienced home to further her education & bring out her potential.

Unfortunately, Jessie does have capped hocks, I really don’t think these are that bad and they don’t hinder her in anyway and she has been shown both in-hand & under saddle with these at local level and they have not had a detrimental effect on her placings. Up to date with farrier (shod in front), dentist (wolf teeth removed), physio, worming & injections etc.

Transport can be arranged at extra cost, if not too far away. Home is the priority but please don’t be cheeky with offers. Doesn’t come with any tack. Jessie has been in the same home since a foal, so all history is known, and this is a heart-breaking sale for personal reasons and through no fault of her own. Good trial facilities, no time wasters! No Loans or LWVTB !

Rider in pictures is 5’6” and 9 stone so gives you an idea of how she carries her rider. Ideal for a brave competitive teen or small adult.

£2000 OVNO for a quick sale to the right home.

This little blonde bombshell is the most beautiful pony you could ever ask for, inside and out. She has three lovely paces and the most amazing temperament.

Dazzler has been there done it got the rosette!

Whether its dressage, showing, jumping or hacking your into this pony excels at them all.

She has just completed 4 dressage tests with scores of 73% to 71% with BD judges

Everything Dazzler has done has been unaffiliated as she hasn't had the rider to take her to do more but there is nothing stopping her from going an awful lot further than this.

She is an absolute delight to take anywhere

This is an extremely sad sale as she is still owned by the breeder but she deserves a loving home where she can get the chance to shine

Price is negotiable for a loving 5* home

I can have poor signal so please leave a msg, txt or email and I will get back to you ASAP.

'Jack In The Box' is a 15yr old Bay 13.2hh Irish bred New Forest gelding who has been there & done everything.

With us he has been an active member of the pony club, attending numerous rallies and pony club camp, riding club, pony camps, XC, dressage & Show jumping. With his previous owner he was part of the pony club SJ teams 80/90cm and has a BS record of 302 points.

We have owned him for just over a year for my very nervous 9yr old daughter & in that time she has gone from jumping x poles to 85cm. During his time at his previous home of 5 years as well as a pony club all rounder he had a passion for hunting, he would take the lead, follow, stand & jump anything!

This is a very sad sale as he is a complete part of our family, but unfortunately my daughter is not a confident rider & we feel he would be best suited as a 2nd pony for a competitive & competent child so that his talents can be utilised. Therefore a 5* home is imperative for our much loved pony.

100% to shoe, teeth, clip, catch & will happily stand on a box all day long.

Perfect to hack alone or in company.

Up to date with teeth, back, shoes & vaccinations.

He can be led to and from the field by my daughter, and will happily stand all day while she grooms and fusses over him!

Lovely cob who will be a best friend, happy hacker, steady first horse type or good enough mover to do some really good dressage tests or show as a coloured native.

Horace has been recently imported from Ireland and has proved himself to be a super genuine chap, who only aims to please. He is riding well on the flat and a very quick learner, with a little more work he will become a local dressage star, with the right rider he could do well BD. He has three very good paces.

Horace will pop a small fence under saddle, but this isn't really his thing but he is perfectly willing to have a go.

He is brilliant to hack alone and in company, will go first, last or inbetween, good in open spaces and been good as gold in all traffic met here with us. He will give someone a lot of fun or has a good enough temperament for a riding school or RDA centre.

Easy to catch, pick up feet, box, friendly in and out the stable and a really friendly person.

Bobbi is a genuine horse that will turn a hoof to anything and always gives his all. He is an Irish Sports Horse x Connemara and has a bold character that needs a confident rider that can take him out competing every now and again.

A heartbreaking sale so no time wasters. I have owned him for three years and he has done showjumping, including NSEA, and rounds at West WIlts, combined training, clinics, hunter trails and is a happy hacker.

Used to a busy yard in term time, but also often stabled at home on his own, however he prefers company. Good with farrier, vet, clipping, dentist.

He needs someone to love and care for him to give him confidence as he can be unsure at times. Not a novice ride. 5* home wanted, selling as rider is looking to go to university next year.

A real gem of a horse, one not to be missed! Can be sold with tack.

  • Won classes at WWEC and completed many clear rounds.

Del is only 13.2 (9 yrs) but takes up your leg very well, is a definite leg in each corner and can be ridden by all the family.

He has come to us to be sold from a home he has been in since a 4yo where they have done a lovely job with his flatwork and he has competed extensively at dressage including the trailblazers finals. He has done pony club, beach rides etc - all with a smile on his face!

Has jumped rustic fences, schooling over trotting poles in the school and building up to showjumping. We are sure he would hunt well.

Hacks alone and in company going first or last. Super easy to have around - you hardly know he is there, but equally he has a great personality. ALOT OF FUN TO HAVE AROUND.

Never sick or sorry.

Home of most importance.

Although not the prettiest horse on the market she is definitely one of the easiest!!!  Recently over from Ireland, Maude has not disappointed, She is easy to do and look after, real low maintenance, you could ride her every day or not for weeks and she still remains her same laid back self.

Not a Ploddy kick along cob, she is easy off the leg and actually very well balanced and schooling well considering her age.  She holds herself in her paces  without the rider having to keep kicking her along and she is starting to ride in an outline too.  I would say with a bit more schooling this mare would definitely excel in the dressage arena.

Maude Jumps well too, we have found her to remain easy going and has jumped everything we have asked her too, both coloured fences in the school or hay bales and logs out hacking.

We have hacked maude both alone and in company on busy main roads as well as round big open fields and through the woods,  she happily rides over the bridges and through the ditches and water.

She is a really lovely girl sweet natured totally genuine

  • Very sweet on the ground, loves kisses and cuddles

Very sad sale of this beautiful genuine boy. Alfie is a 14hh traditional heavyweight cob. He has been schooled weekly with a professional instructor and has three lovely paces. He has excelled in dressage, placing top 3 every outing. Always in the 60's! I've only gone as far as prelim, due to time, but he'd be more than capable of more in the right hands!

He is more of a kick along than pull back, has good breaks out in the open, hacks out lovely never does anything silly, if something does catch his eye he has a little look and then carries on his merry way. He doesn't feel the need to be up at the front or has to keep up, he's happy to do his own thing, he does love hacking. He also enjoys jumping, I'm not really that keen but he has a bold brave jump and will take me over easily.

He also does very well in showing, he always has lovely comments. Wherever he goes he always places and has lots of rosettes to his name.

He's a very quick learner, after only a few attempts he learnt to leg yield, shoulder in etc. In the right hands he could go far and at only 8 yrs he's got lots more time to move up through the levels.

He's very sweet on the ground, loves kisses and cuddles. He has such a big character he is very sociable (nosy) and likes to know what you are doing, he makes me laugh all the time.

Never sick or sorry, never had reason to call the vet, very hardy and low maintenance. I've never clipped him, he has always been out 'au natural'. With me he goes out at night and in during the day in summer and opposite in winter. He can live alone or in a herd, he's very easy with whatever.

Alfie loads and travels well on trailer, van or lorry. Good to catch, trim, wash. He's a very good boy around children, I have three daughters, he's good around dogs and farm machinery. He walks through our busy farm yard and doesn't bat an eyelid. Snaffle mouthed at all times.

Genuine reason for sale, it hasn't been easy to come to this decision and I'm very sad but he's still got so much to give and he deserves more.

I have been his main rider, I would call myself a competent novice, he has been ridden by kids and is also currently being ridden by a 13 year old girl. As long as you start off as you mean to go on he is a good boy, he can be stubborn in the school, but as long as you tell him he's fine! Nothing nasty at all.

Have loads of photos and videos of him, message me for more. Will come with all tack including recently re-fitted saddle.

Price negotiable for right home!
