SJ/PC SCHOOLMISTRESS

Ref #: 378571
  • Ears up, smile on - will teach your child to love jumping
  • Totally reliable to a fence doesn’t stop/run out/leap
  • Full up 14.2 SJ/PC schoolmistress
£5,950
  • Dutch Warmblood

  • Ears up, smile on - will teach your child to love jumping
  • Totally reliable to a fence doesn’t stop/run out/leap
  • Full up 14.2 SJ/PC schoolmistress
Always ears up - 22 yo but more spring in her step than the rest of us put together. Happy to be doing the job she loves (but equally happy to stroll out for a hack, stand for ages being groomed, or to be abandoned for weeks on end if school/winter gets in the way!).

Never fizzy nor stupid & relaxed and easy at shows/stay aways and is solely ridden by my son (a competent 12yo novice who’d only been riding a year when we bought her 2.5 years ago).

A proper mathematician, never touches a pole (on the ground/sj/xc) and a 100% reliable and completely safe pair of hands jumping - doesn’t stop, run out, nor need to be ‘ridden’.

Dropped down to poles on the ground/ 40 to get my son started, and then built carefully over time up to 80/90 - done pc camps & rallies, clinics, and unaff comps with us.

Loads/travels like the pro that she is.No vices. Up to date with everything.

Knowledgeable, loving home is the top priority for this totally loved, beautiful pony.

We want her to go back down the gears to teach a new little jockey the joy of poles/jumping/ all things PC. She won’t be sold to a big child who wants to push big tracks.

A genuine second/third pony depending on what your child is used to. She gives a ‘proper showjumper’ feel - ears up and doing the maths so a perfect prep pony for a child who wants to jump.

But she is not a plod - so please no nervous total novices.

Please only call if genuinely interested!

Open to any vetting etc.

Riding club / pony club type

Ref #: 376557

  • Easy to shoe, clip, handle, load etc…
£5,000
  • Irish Sports Pony
  • Bay
  • Mare
  • 18 years
  • 14.1 hands
  • Suitable for teenager/small adult
  • Easy to shoe, clip, handle, load etc…

We have owned Molly for almost 18 months. She passed a stage 5 vetting at this time. She has been a fantastic second type pony for my daughter who is sadly growing too fast! Molly has jumped as a horse BS in her previous home and has done lots of unaffiliated SJ with us including stay aways at hickstead, wales and west and trailblazers, however I’d like her to now find a slightly less competitive all rounder type home. She loves hacking, she’s forward but very safe. She has been to lots of pole/jump clinics. She travels really well and behaves impeccably tied to the Horsebox/trailer all day. Molly did a fair bit of dressage in her previous home, she has auto changes but hasn’t competed dressage with us due to no interest from my daughter.

We have only had ever had her on single turnout, and this was the same for the previous owner.

Molly is so easy to handle, you can literally do anything to her in the stable and she enjoys affection.

Due to her being an ex competition pony, she wouldn’t be suitable for a novice rider but more someone who can ride but just wants a fun little horse to take them on adventures. This is a very sad sale of a much loved pony. Please text for videos

Bridle and rugs inc.

Molly does have a small benign lump on her neck which causes her no problems. Vet has checked this regularly and has confirmed it’s purely cosmetic.

STUNNING WELSH MARE FOR SALE

Ref #: 377630
£4,000
  • Welsh Section D
  • Bay
  • Mare
  • 19 years
  • 14.2 hands

Wanda is a 19yr old stunning bay mare willing to give anything a go from showjumping, cross country, showing, happy hacking to beach rides she does it all with no bucks, bronks or rears she truly is one of a kind.

We brought her back in 2021 for my daughter who had just came out of a riding school after learning how to walk trot and canter. She took my daughter who started by being all over the place in trot to jumping up too 70cm confidently at local shows.

She gave my daughter a wave of confidence and a love for riding, she is truly one of the sweetest ponies you’ll meet. When we brought her she had just come from Wales and was a bit shy to start with within a week my daughter was on her bare back in the stable reading books.
(Ps Wanda loves a good bath day)

She is extremely well mannered and can be trusted to skip out with the door wide open. She’s good to catch with a treat or two and is great with the farrier. good to lead and likes to be loaded sideways facing or with full trailer space.

She loves other horses and prefers to hack with company, but will go on her own if needs be. she loves to jump which she has a natural talent for and used to compete with her old owners in Wales.

Depending on how much work she’s doing, we usually get her hocks injected once every 6 to 12 months just for maintenance. This is truly a good wrenching sale for us as she has been an absolute gem since we’ve had her never laying a foot wrong. However, my daughter has decided she wants to attend college on campus. and will be too far away to come back and ride her and with a pony as talented we wouldn’t want her to become a field ornament as we truly believe there is someone out there whom she will make just as happy as she has made our daughter.
She would be suitable as a mother daughter share or just someone looking to have an enjoyable Pony experience.

!!! due to her being so close to our heart five star homes only!!! Videos of her can also be found with her past owners if you type her show name nebo davina into YouTube and pictures of her showing days can be found on Google by the same name.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

Meet Sonny, 13.2hh brilliant 1st competition pony, he is bold and brilliant with the heart of a lion and years of experience under his belt.
18 yrs young Sonny is forward, responsive, and absolutely loves his job, equally he will step down and teach a more novice child without getting hot or strong, he is not a novice pony though and needs a child with experience.
Sonny has consistently been placed in unaffiliated showjumping up to 80cm he is bold and brave across country perfect for ODEs and hunter trials.
Established flatwork with 3 balanced paces, he loves to hack alone or in company.
- Great to shoe, clip, load, catch
- Sound, fit, and in full work

11hh Welsh Section A
18 years old

Every child needs a Bob in their life.

Bob is the ultimate unicorn, absolutely golden, true first ridden pony. Very safe and steady pony for a child making that transition from lead rein to off lead rein.

Bob goes on or off lead rein happily.

We’ve had Bob 2.5 years and in that time he’s taken my daughter from a very nervous 6 year old to confidently riding off lead rein in the school, at shows and in open spaces.

Bob has done everything with us including:
Local shows on and off lead rein;
ESUK and Stars;
Bob has placed well in ridden classes, including veterans,
working hunter and he is absolutely amazing at handy pony!
Also taken part in some great fancy dress classes and proven to be an absolute rock no matter what;
Beach rides - he was an absolute superstar;
XC course hires, nothing phases him;
Hacking on and off road, Bob is the ultimate calm and collected pony, nothing worries him and even with other horses or ponies around he remains at his own steady pace and absolutely looks after his rider at all times;

Bob has stood like a rock whilst other have cantered away from him or spooked and he’s remained his level headed self throughout;

Nervous and novice show jumping nights - taken my daughter from lead rein to happily jumping 30&40cm courses on her own;
Will step up and jump bigger when he knows he’s got a balanced rider - happily jumps 50+cm with my eldest daughter.
Attended pony club and pony club camps with previous owner.

Bobs full history is known and we would want to stay in touch with his new family.

Bob has done absolutely everything we’ve asked of him and more and we are so grateful to him.

Bob is extremely special and will only go to the very very best of homes.

Brilliant to clip and stands perfect for the farrier, vet, dentist, physio etc

He is an utterly amazing pony who is sadly outgrown and will be wasted just sitting in a field, it’s time for another young person to have the benefit of Bob to teach them ??

Happy to provide info/ videos etc

Super pony club allrounder pony

JIMMY THUNDERSTRUCK

Former FEI CCI2* Eventing Pony
Winner HOYs Qualifier
Dublin Horse Show

Jimmy is the perfect pony in all ways.  He has been my daughter’s first pony for the last 2 years and previously to that has given many children memories and adventures they will always remember.

In this time they have competed at 90cm SJ and done arena eventing, XC schooled, hunted and dressage.  He has qualified for many things.

In Jimmys slightly older age he would suit an allrounder home with someone looking to have lots of fun competing in at around the 70/80cm mark. He thinks cross country is the best thing ever! Brilliant for teaching younger riders the ropes.

Although he is older Jimmy is definitely not a kick along pony, he’s the type that will keep going and going, loves his work and in no way is showing his age. He has never bucked, reared, bolted or done anything nasty.

Jimmy has the best personality and amazing on the ground this is a heartbreaking sale as my daughter wants to step up and we need something bigger so we are now moving onto horses.

A 5 star home is essential as this is one very special little pony. Full wardrobe available

Emily is by far the best BS starter pony / 10 & under pony currently on the circuit.

We had the best time with her last year winning at the Nationals and being placed in every class we entered and winning at Scope.

She has jumped and won at all the major shows and has also done Derbys and arena eventing whilst with us.

She has brought my daughter on from jumping 40cm and will happily step down to trotting round cross poles to speeding round BS courses when you are ready to win!

She has won us countless rosettes, rugs, trophies, sashes etc and most importantly she has been my daughter’s best friend along the way.

This is an extremely sad sale and only the best homes need apply as she means the world to us.

She is currently without a jockey as my daughter has had a growth spurt and she is hopelessly outgrown.

We have millions of videos and photos so please WhatsApp or call for more info.

Heart breaking sale of our georgeous Eddie. Very sadly outgrown. He has been with us for last 3 ½ years and taken my son from jumping 60cm to 90cm upwards, unaffiliated.

Fully vaccinated and teeth up to date. Never had any vet visits other than routine vaccinations.

Shod in front. Lives out 12 months of the year. Good to load, shoe, catch.

Has participated in pony club jumping qualifying for champs. Always in the ribbons.

Great school master but dressage isn't my son's bag so never explored this competitively.

Amazing xc. Has hunted and competed in all PC activities in previous home.

Easily trained around 1m at home. Will happily teach a child the ropes to jump bigger courses.

He's happiest competing around 70 and 80cm but will do more with a competent rider.

Hacks alone and in company. Nothing fazes him. Canters in open spaces out hacking in company and is a gent.

Does throw an excited buck x country so if x country is your main ambition then a nervous novice would not be suitable.

Fun, forward going but polite. Gallops up our track and stops when asked.

Comes with tack and some rugs.

Heaps of videos and photos if needed.

Ozzy is a mother’s dream with manners and experience that rarely become available to a new home.

Ozzy had been there done it and achieved all the T-shirts. Ozzy is showing no signs of slowing down, currently fit, healthy and out competing medication free. Plenty of years left in this pony to show a child the ropes.

Ozzy is correct enough to continue a career as a WHP at top level.

Ozzy continues to love his hunting and completely produced and ridden by children.

Ozzy will give a good dressage test and a is a super consistent ODE pony and perfectly capable to go BE and run the under 18s teams.

Ozzy loves his jumping BS, NSEA and PC teams.

Ozzy is an absolute dream to have on the yard and at shows. Never strong silly or rude. Very child friendly.

Good in all traffic.

No vices but Ozzy doesn’t suffer fools in the competition ring - he’s in it to win it and if your not he will be offended. (Old hand)

On the other hand Ozzy is a dream and will take a child up the levels.

Absolutely no loans or payment plans.

  • Type Impossible to find he is loveable & laid back, 100% in all traffic
Mothers Dream - Worth His Weight in Gold. One in a million confidence giving lead rein pony, the type that is hard to find, he is 100% trustworthy in all ways.

He is the ultimate most beautiful little unicorn for the tiniest of riders with the kindest of natures making him the perfect confidence giving best friend.

He has steady paces which are perfect for the tiny tots learning their ups and downs and is not bothered by the wobbliest of riders. Pony`s as genuine as this are like gold dust.

We have owned this magical little pony for just over 5 years and he was in a family home for 4 years prior to us.

For us he has been the ultimate safest, kindest, most loveable best friend for both of my children, who have been able to do everything with on their own - catch - lead - tack up - groom etc, he really is a true tiny tots first lead rein pony, the type that a parent can sit and watch them enjoy.
He is a genuine snaffle mouth, he has never needed daisy reins or any gadgets, he will happily ride along in a headcollar which we have mainly done.

He is bombproof out hacking, alone or in company, goes in front or behind, can be led from another horse, excellent in all traffic and trains.
100% to catch, with farrier, to bath and clip - i use a razor on his head which he prefers, he loads and travels well, he really is an absolute saint - a pony sent from heaven.
He doesn`t need riding every day, he can be left for months without being ridden and then brought in, tacked up and ridden out.

He can be led and handled by a complete tiny tot, he will happily stand all day on the yard being pampered.
He is excellent with children around his legs and he never ever pulls faces, he is a complete gentlemen

In his earlier years he did lots of showing and qualified for all of the Championships, did fancy dress, hunting and some Pony Club.

During the 5 years we have owned him he has only been used as a lead rein pony and companion, so this is what he is being sold as. We will not be selling him to anyone that wants to do more than what we have been doing with him as it would be unfair to ask it of him after so many years of not doing it.

He has never had laminitis with us but we have always been sensible during the spring / summer months.

This a a genuine and truly heartbreaking sale but he is hopelessly outgrown and we feel it would be wrong to just leave him out in the field when he still has so much to offer another tiny tot.

Dizzy Rascal is one of the most consistent top track 138s; who has won or been in the ribbons at all the top shows in the UK and internationally. Won 2 of the 4 of the Hickstead Qualifiers jumped to qualify for Royal International 2025; has competed &/or won many of the top shows consistently through her career.

She is a lovely competition pony with all the scope and speed to compete and win. She loves a jump off & is a rare find in that she is a proper child's top-track competition pony. She does not need an adult to keep her straight to jump at the top of her game and yet at home she is easy; quiet in the stable, good to travel; not remotely spooky to hack, not mare-ish and good at stay aways. She is kind; not sharp or strong; will drop down and teach a child the ropes, and then step back up.

Successes include:
- 2025 RIHS Final Qualified (Won at both Arena UK & Morris)
- 2024 and 2022 HOYS Finals
- 2021 HOYS 138 Final 1st 1.25m
- 2021 RIHS Hickstead 2nd 1.25m
- 2022 RIHS Hickstead 5th 1.25m

Winnie has been a wonderful pony for her young rider over the past 5 years, taking her from just off the lead rein to popping round sj courses and a rage of activities.

Will happily step up or down the gears depending on what’s being asked of her.

Winnie will happily turn her hoof to any discipline having done pony club most of her life including cross country, showjumping, dressage, games etc.

Kindest and easiest pony to have around and do in all ways. Including hack out alone and in company, catch, farrier, load and travel etc.

Winnie is a lovely forward going ride but super safe and snaffle mouthed at all times. Was her current riders first pony coming off the lead rein and was a superstar in teaching her as she has done for many kids.
She’s best suited as a 1.5 / second pony.

Been on plenty of beach rides, clinics etc

Based in Kent, Rhyd Ifan Guinness (Guinness) is a 17 year old Irish sports horse X Connemara. we've had Guinness for nearly three years now and very sad to sell him as we no longer have enough time for him.

Guinness mainly enjoys jumping and will very confidently jump around a 95cm course with scope to go higher, he also enjoys cross country and will happily hack alone or in company.

Despite being 17, Guinness is in very good shape and defiantly has a good few years of competing left in him.

Guinness is good with the farrier, good to clip, good for vet, etc.

Guinness is happy to be turned out alone or in company (both mares and geldings), and Guinness needs turnout ALL YEAR ROUND.

Guinness is up for anything and is a plug and play horse when competing; you put him in the arena and he knows exactly what his job is. And he truly is a once in a lifetime pony, and we are gutted to sell him.

Guinness is not a novice ride and needs a confident teenager. He’s being sold as a competition horse, competing 80-1m.

Paint is 21 this year but he doesn't look or act like it. He has been ridden by my 11 and 8 year olds and now it's time for him to find another family as we are moving onto a 14.2hh.

Will hack alone with confident rider but better in company. Needs to be in at night in the winter as he is a bit of a pampered prince so he won't go to a home with no stabling.

My children have had lots of lessons on him, but as we don't have a trailer he hasn't been out and about with us however we bought him from a showjumping home where he was regularly competing. Would be great on the lead rein.

Up to date with vaccs, worming etc. Shod in front. Good for farrier, to clip, bath, catch, load.

Comes with all tack and rugs.
