This pony needs no introduction Annandale New Approach (Roachy), Top Class 122 WHP/Nursery Stakes pony looking for a new home

Strawberry Roan. By Soudley Taliesin. Welsh Section B. 2008.

He is a pony of a lifetime, regularly appearing at Hoys, LIHS & RIHS. Roach has a wealth of experience in the WH ring. He is beautifully schooled and is a prolific winner in the First Ridden classes also.

He has competed at winter dressage, NSCA, arena eventing 85cm with many qualifications in all spheres.

Roach is an incredible competition pony who has jumped around all of the major show venues with an impressive list of wins, championships and qualifications in his CV, to include high placings at HOYS & RI (winner). He is also a strong contender in the plaited nursery stakes classes, having previously finished fifth at RIHS in this class.

He was the winner of two highest qualifying 122 whp classes in 2024.

Would also do BS.

Always home produced, loves hacking, no vices. Easy to box, catch, shoe, clip.

This is a very difficult decision. He is such a lovely pony. We purchased Roach six months ago for my 9 year old daughter.

My daughter has sadly had 2 broken arms aged four and aged seven. The two breaks knocked her confidence which she does struggle with, she prefers the flat.

Although Roach has done nothing wrong, he is an Open pony who loves his job and we have realised that Florence needs something that requires more leg to build her confidence.

We are looking for a 5* home for this lovely boy. The price reflects this incredible pony so please, no daydreamers.

Serious enquiries, please no time wasters.

May is a beautiful liver chestnut 4yo Irish sports pony. She is a gorgeous colour, and has a gorgeous temperament to match!

May is very straight forward, hacks alone or in company, good in fields and open space and good with traffic. I have always ridden her in a snaffle. She is happy to go alone and never naps and isn’t spooky, she also doesn’t light up when hacking in company.

May has attended hunter trials, she lead round the course and jumped ditches, rails and steps out in front! She was good as gold in the collecting ring, and was happy standing around the lorry park too.

I’ve taken May xc schooling on several occaisions, where she has proven to very bold, careful and brave. She jumped whatever she was pointed at and doesn’t stop at anything. She is very Good with ditches/water/steps/skinnies.

May is forward off the leg but not a strong pony, she is working well in the school and improving every session. She works well on the bridle in a consistent outline, happy to also be ridden off the bridle if dressage isn’t your thing! She is very good in the mouth, and is very trainable in the school. She has been to dressage completions and won.

May has been showjumping, arena eventing and has been to arena hires. She is always careful and very bold over fillers. She has a careful jump, she rarely makes a green mistake to tip a pole. She isn’t spooky over fillers and is a just sit there and steer her round the course kind of girl.
May has been hunting on 2 occasions in England and was an absolute star, she is not a made hunting pony for a totally novice child, but she has all the aspects to be this. She stood at the meet and wasn’t strong or silly at any point.

She would never buck, rear, do any nasties! She will be a fabulous pony of a life time for somebody!

May will be a fabulous jumping pony or eventing pony, WHP, she is a type very hard To find with being careful, kind and competitive. Open to any vet, good with other ponies in the field. Good to bath, catch, farrier, clip. Loads and travels well on Lorrie’s or trailers, stands well at a show. Has had her teeth done this week.

Lots of videos available, saddle no tack included. I really love this pony, she is a very hard sort to find. She can live in or out, be given a week off and hop back on no bother, I will be lost without her in the yard to nanny the greener ones! She is incredibly genuine and kind, I really do think this pony is destined for top competition, but she is safe and straight forward enough to be a brilliant pony club pony!

Genuine reason for sale as he’s perfect in every way but he’s definitely more kick than woah and our little legs are just to little right now.

Ticks along nicely enough on the flat.
Works amazing in open spaces
Quiet at shows etc etc.

I do believe he has everything in the tank to become a top track pony he just needs someone with longer legs to keep kicking or a kid in there last two years that’s a bit bigger and stronger.

He does step down for the little ones to jump round your stepping stones and springboards.

Even though he’s a jumping pony you could use him for a bit of everything as he’s got the right brain!

Sadly, after an six amazing years our wonderful Cass is now for sale.

Coolillaun Cassanova is a stunning traditional stamp Connie, with plenty of bone and truly the most versatile pony –

Cass loves eventing and we genuinely believe he could make it to Badminton , he does a wonderful dressage test ( with a real look at me attitude and scores as low as 22.8) and his passion for cross country means he is very rarely out of the top 10 placings at BE 90 and 100.

He has never stopped.

Purchased for my son. He is very low mileage for his age as he has had to compete with rugby and girls. Together they started their eventing career and were placed in their first ever one day event – they went on to qualify for the Horse events championship, SWEG and were placed 5th in the open event at the Cotswold cup championship.

Previously, Cass has qualified and been placed at the BSPS and NPS championships on the flat – My son has competed him in workers and was placed at the NPS championships and the Royal Welsh Show . He’s also done arena eventing which he loves.

Cass is so easy to have around the yard and adores humans and as such we have been so reluctant to part with him. While by son was travelling, for this year he has been on a competition yard to bring on his eventing experience.

He’s good in every manner but he is a competition pony and while not strong would not suit a novice rider – we would love Cass to go to a home where he can enjoy a competitive and versatile life and be loved for the great little person he is.

Placings include
BE Go 90 Sapey 1st
BE100 Aston le Walls 4th
BE 90 Solihull 8th
.
He is good in the stable, to load, shoe , vet etc.
Will only be sold to a 5 star home as this is a truly well loved pony who deserves the best.

  • Riding Pony
  • Chestnut
  • Gelding
  • 12 years
  • 14.1 hands
  • 3 lovely balanced paces and looks quite flashy
  • Has been to Pony Club rallies, camp and gymkhanas

Norman has been my daughter’s best friend for just under 2 years. Together they have been to Pony Club rallies, camp and gymkhanas.

They have won Working Hunter classes (up to 60cm) and Show Jumping classes (up to 70cm) and are currently schooling up to 90cms in the arena and 60cm over cross country jumps. He could also do a nice dressage test as he works well into an outline, has 3 lovely balanced paces and looks quite flashy!

He will hack out on his own and is good in traffic, but is better in company, especially if there are motorbikes/fast vehicles as he really does not like them going past him. He dislikes cows immensely, which is bizarre because we have cows at home! He has been on the beach and regularly goes on bridleways and has always pulled up when asked.

He is good to shoe, clip, bath and tack up. Up to date with teeth and vaccines and we carry out regular FECs for worming. He was hard work to load when we first got him, but we just kept practicing and now he walks in the trailer well.

Norman is not a novice ride; he needs a competent rider as he can be quite sassy and will throw some moves if he doesn’t like something. He needs to trust his rider and have a strong bond with them. He would suit an experienced/competent teen/adult. Mother/daughter share would be ideal in the right hands.

Norman has a lot of potential and in the right hands could be something special. We had hoped for another year on him, and only selling him as my daughters out grown him. Will be looking for a 5* experienced home, no time wasters please.

MOELTRYFAN CHEEKY BOY

Re-advertised as buyer pulled out of sale.
Do not contact me unless you read the advert carefully and are only after an older schoolmaster pony .This sale is difficult enough so don’t waste my time or your time. Mid- high four figures for our beloved pony.

Steady, confidence giving, safe, fun, all rounder - the most loving pony and child’s best friend.

Heartbreaking sale of my son’s best friend-A real life perfect unicorn. Please note Boo is looking for younger children on the lead-rein or older riders that are lightweight. Please read carefully and only contact me if you can fit the criteria as we are wanting the perfect match!
We are looking for a home that can offer him only but the best! We don’t want a competition home every weekend but an all round family home with a varied lifestyle.

• Schoolmaster
• Stunning looks and a beautiful, easy rocking horse canter. He’s steady yet responsive.

Boo enjoyed the show ring before turning his hoof to hunting, pony club and a more all-round life.

We bought Boo to give my son confidence after loosing his nerve with a pony that bucked and reared all the time, he didn’t want to ride anymore and this pony restored his confidence. So much so that he’s now moved onto his next pony which is 14hh.

We don’t want to part with Boo but he’s too lovely and talented to be ridden occasionally and a family pet.

He deserves the best home now and to give a child the joy he’s given us.
Boo has many rosettes , winning many times and trophies . He’s admired wherever we go.

He’s attended PC Camps , numerous rallies and he has competed successfully at lots of local shows and mini ODEs.He has been to many busy hunt meets and hunted with us and his previous home. We've done pc camps, rallies, pc show jumping, cross country, showing, mini one day events, hunting, fun rides, local shows, gymkhanas, village fete pony rides the list is endless!

Boo is a pony club superstar - nothing he has not done. Boo loves jumping and he jumped up to 70cm and 80cm with my son at competitions , alongside winning the Chase Me Charlie at camp jumping 1M.

His only vice is rarely ( once or twice in a year) he’s bucked in an open space
( cantering in field) through excitement. This hasn’t bothered or worried my son at all. He would never do this on the lead rein or in the arena - it’s only when the children have moved up to the 2nd type pony.

Hacks alone or in company. Nannies other horses and ponies out hacking. Used to calm and give confidence to others out and about. Totally safe with busy traffic or outside pubs with lots going on.

Boo is kind and gentle on the ground and always handled by children, will stand for hours to be pampered, loves to be groomed and washed. He has the patience of a saint. Amazing manners. He's happy to be groomed, fussed and pampered all day long. I know, I can let my children safely handle him to groom, bath, tack up, rug up, muck out and load.

Boo can be left for weeks without been ridden. He is in at night over the winter and out by day over the spring/summer on restricted grazing. He’s had laminitis once with his previous owners and we have been very strict about his regime and diet. He’s never shown any signs with us.

He's been fully shod due to the terrain where we live and work load and currently just fronts, but can go bare foot depending on work load and terrain. We live on a busy working farm so he's used to big machinery cattle, sheep and noise.

Up to date with all vaccinations. No health issues. Perfect for the vet, farrier, dentist and to clip.

From the stable to out and about, Boo is a joy. His temperament is second to none - loving, gentle, and cheekily charming.
This pony means the world to my son and to us as a family.
This is a very sad and difficult sale, and we are looking for the right home because he's only had 2 homes before us. The previous owners would like updates and to stay in touch. His last owners had Boo for 10 years from lead-rein to 2nd pony, he kept the three girls safe throughout their riding journey so he’s incredibly important to them as well as his first owner and myself.
The ideal home would be an experienced pony club family home with younger siblings looking to ride Boo once he’s outgrown.

Price includes tack and rugs . Strictly no time wasters . Homes will be vetted and please only enquire if you think you might be the next suitable home. Many Thanks.

He has such a sweet personality and would stand to be pampered all day long! Has been great to catch/farrier/clip/load ect. He rides well in the arena and has been super to hack out alone or in company in traffic ect.

Great mover so would do a lovely dressage test.

He wouldn’t suit a total novice as still needs confidence from his rider, absolutely no badness whatsoever just needs miles. Not a spooky type.

He really is a lovely chap who is ready to be loved and go and see the world!

Ultimate 12.2 Schoolmaster

Duke – 12.2 Welsh Section B Gelding, 20 years young

Duke has the most prolific CV that any pony could possibly achieve. He is a true child’s pony and best friend who, for his entire life, has been consistently placed across both the UK and Ireland, including all prestigious venues such as HOYS, Hickstead, RIHS, Dublin, Balmoral, and countless county and agricultural shows where he has won so many championships across the board from tiny tots on the lead rein, first ridden, show hunter pony classes and more. A truly adaptable pony and a master of all classes.

Duke also has a fantastic dressage record and has competed BD. He is a great teacher who is beautifully schooled, clockwork, and push-button to ride. A great confidence giver and teacher for a child wanting a quality safe pony to gain experience on.

Duke gladly turns his hoof to all pony club activities; he enjoys playing games, show jumps, cross country, hunts, hacks, and charity rides. He rides and leads politely from a horse. A wonderful pony club pony that will show a child the ropes of how to win in the show arenas too, and along the way teach a child to ride correctly, because it’s a well-renowned fact that “good ponies make good riders!”

Fit as a fiddle, don’t be put off by the age- now days this is considered to be in his prime - he moves exceptionally well, perfectly clean and correct, with many more years to offer a loving family with a deserving child.

1st to enquire will buy—one in a million, gold-dust pony.

Came to me to fitten up and see if she jumps and she does!! Literally popped straight round a course of fillers and trays… She is so brave her attitude is exceptional so willing; in a matter of sessions she nearly sussed her changes. With all the foundations laid she is ready to rock and roll. Orla really is the full package for someone looking for a well bred versatile, competitive, and kind pony.

You’d think Orla was 16 not 6 she’s been ridden by everyone on the yard from nervous 60+ on 2/3 hr hacks, to game on kids that enjoy her just as much. Open spaces no problem either.

This mare truly is the ideal mother/daughter share – talented enough to win, yet kind and genuine enough for an amateur or younger rider to enjoy and learn from. She would be perfect for a family whose kids are away at school or uni and need mum to tick over at home ready for a show. She has all the quality and temperament to go on in any sphere.

We bought him as a 6 year old jumping 1.25s for our amateur daughter who gave her all her confidence and consistently placed at every show.

A straightforward ride that takes you to the fence. 3 lovely paces and auto flying changes. He will look after and give confidence to an amateur and equally jump bigger tracks with a more competent jockey.

He’ll look after his rider and never hold a grudge and genuinely loves his job. He has the most loveable character that never fails to put a smile on my face in and out of the ring.

Easy to handle: bath, clip, load, shoe, hack etc.

Only for sale as rider is off ponies, been in the same home for 4 years. Home is more important than price.

He has got fabulous paces, he is a seriously smart pony with a real look at me presence. One not to be missed.

He is a quality pony, definitely a bright future ahead of him.

Plenty of pics/videos on request. Full history known. Serious enquiries only. Very sad sale as very much part of the family and a pleasure to have around.

Grace: A Once-in-a-Lifetime Purebred Connemara Mare

It’s not every day a pony like this comes on the market. Grace is a truly exceptional 4-year-old Class 1 purebred Connemara mare standing at 15hh, with the presence, quality, and temperament to turn heads wherever she goes. With her breathtaking Snow White coat, beautifully refined head, and correct conformation, Grace is as close to a real-life unicorn as you’ll ever find. Her striking looks are matched by a sweet, willing nature that makes her the perfect partner for any rider—novice or experienced alike.

Grace is not just a pretty face. She has already proven her talent and rideability in the ring, winning 1st place in the Ridden 4 & 5-Year-Old Class at the Sceilig Connemara Festival and taking home 3rd place in the same class at Charleville Show. She’s also hunted a full season with the Duhallow Foxhounds, showing her brave, sensible, and trustworthy attitude across all types of terrain. In addition, she has been to several training shows, always behaving impeccably and rising to the occasion with maturity well beyond her years.

She’s as quiet as they come—calm, kind, and always wanting to please. Grace is a dream to handle in every way: easy to catch, box, shoe, and groom. She hacks out confidently both alone and in company, and is excellent in traffic, including around large farm machinery. She is equally happy in a busy yard or a quiet setting and would suit a novice rider, a riding school environment, or even a mother-daughter share. Grace is that rare find: a genuine, forgiving mare with a heart of gold.

Under saddle, Grace is a joy to ride. She works in a natural outline, carries a soft snaffle mouth, and offers a responsive, balanced ride. She moves beautifully—her expressive, floating trot and uphill canter make her a lovely ride on the flat, whether you’re schooling at home or competing. She is a super honest and straightforward jumper, taking both show jumps and cross-country fences in her stride. She’s brave without being strong and careful without being fussy, giving her rider confidence at every level.

Her temperament is second to none. Grace is a kind, generous mare with no stable vices and an easy, trainable attitude. She is open to any vetting and comes with a recently passed clean vet certificate for peace of mind.

We’re also happy to offer delivery to your yard anywhere in the UK, and in the unlikely event that she isn’t a perfect match, an exchange option is available to ensure total satisfaction.

Grace isn’t just beautiful and talented—she’s incredibly well bred, with bloodlines that speak for themselves. Her sire is Hillside Joker, a quality Connemara stallion known for passing on his kind temperament and athletic movement. On her dam’s side, she is out of Hanna’s Day, by the well-regarded Loughwell Paddy, who himself is by the influential Castlestrange Fionn. These lines are synonymous with quality, performance, and true Connemara type, producing ponies with substance, scope, and wonderful temperaments.

Grace truly is the complete package: beauty, brains, temperament, and talent—all wrapped into one stunning young mare. She would excel in a variety of disciplines, from showing and dressage to eventing, pony club, or just being a much-loved best friend for someone who wants a safe, quality all-rounder.
