It’s with a very heavy heart that we offer Butleigh Tara (“Rara”) for sale. She’s an absolute super star, but sadly, I’ve realised she’s just a little bit too much pony for my 8-year-old daughter. Rara is dearly loved, so she will only go to a 5* home where she’ll be adored as much as she is here.

12hh 10yr old blue roan gelding.

Teddy has been a much loved, family pony for the last 3 years. He was initially a lead rein pony for a 6 year old girl, who then came off the lead and they have done all pony club activities together.

He has been competing at 70 and he went double clear at area SJ (70) but struggled at champs which was bigger. I would say his sweet spot is 60-65cm but potentially if he had some more flat work he would be better balanced to fly around bigger courses.

Teddy has hunted, been on pleasure rides, beach rides, loads of pony club rallies, camps, tetrathlon etc. Qualified individually for schools national champs at Hickstead in SJ and Eventers Challenge at 50cm and 60cm for both. He has done loads of hacking, and is good on busy roads as well as open fields. His weak point is games.

Teddy is lovely to have around the yard, he is good to catch, clip, load/travel. He is barefoot, and lives on fresh air so is cheap to keep.

Teddy is now looking for his next rider to help bring on. However, he is not a first ridden pony, he is forward going and would suit a confident child.

Very attractive and well put together 12.1hh coloured mare. Mumma has successfully competed in all Pony Club activities from race days, show jumping, fancy dress to camp!

She is a forward thinking, responsive ride with an exceptional jump (though happy to trot to a fence if required) and is a great competition pony. She has won and been placed in all spheres. She enjoys cross country and is excellent with water and ditches.

She has successfully competed B.S. Club and would be a fantastic and very competitive NSEA pony.

She is a kind mare, who always tries to please. She loves attention and is happy to stand for hours to be groomed and fussed over.

In her previous home she was used as a lead rein pony so could also do this job.

She is a super hack and very easy to box, shoe, catch, clip etc. Open to any vet.

7 year old lead rein or 2nd pony who loves attention.

He has done all pony club activities, been out jumping and small cross country, doesn’t look at any of the fences, got the scope there but we’ve only jumped small.

Very easy to handle and catch, kind for children to brush, loads and travels well, good with farrier, up to date with vaccinations.

Good to hack out in company, we’ve not ridden him in heavy traffic but good with cars passing etc.

Sadly the current partnership isn’t working out, he needs more consistency with his schooling/more confident rider due to his age.

At previous home he was schooled beautifully (we don’t have a school) and I think with more time he’d produce a lovely dressage test/make a beautiful show pony.

Very friendly, he’s turned out with mares and geldings and respects electric fencing. Stabled on small holding so used to farm animals.

We just want him to be busy and loved as he has lots of potential.

Posey is a 10yr old Welsh section a mare standing at approximately 11.1 (not had stick on for an official measurement) she is an absolute dream in the stable , temperament is 2nd to none, can leave children in with her for hours unattended. Fab ground manners as well.

Fantastic to hack out alone or in-company on or off the lead never spooky or silly. Great for the farrier, dentist etc. No lumps, bumps or sarcoids.

Absolutely fantastic LR pony will do absolutely anything, knows her job very well, has previously shown with small jockey. Will happily be led from another horse too.

However, Off the lead rein Posey needs a confident jockey to give her some reassurance as she can be cheeky if given the opportunity, has been known to throw a buck if she’s unsure of what’s being asked of her , However categorically does not put a hoof out of place on the lead. This is obviously being stated due to her being a child’s pony and just simply being honest in what she does. Currently being ridden by two 6yr old jockeys and myself.

Therefore she is realistically priced for what she is , genuine reason for this sale so please absolutely no timewasters or price finders.

Fred has been the perfect first ridden pony for my daughter. He’s done so much with us — from cross country and show jumping competitions to mini one-day eventing, mounted games, pony club fun rides, and even taking part in the musical ride at the Pony Club Championships and won!

He’s incredibly easy to handle — the children bring him in, clip him, bath him; they can do absolutely everything with him. Fred currently lives on a busy dairy farm, so he’s completely used to all kinds of farm traffic and animals.

All my girls have ridden him, and he’s given my daughters so much confidence and fun along the way. Sadly, my daughter has now moved on to her sister’s pony, and Fred is far too lovely to be standing in the field going to waste.

Archie is a chunky cob x, who adores his hunting, happy to go first or last, jumps everything.

Sturdy type who takes the leg well so would take a small adult or Mum to hunt with the kids, equally happy with a small child on board, definitely more kick than pull.

Very safe to hack alone or in company and used to farm traffic.

He has done all pc activities including camp, careful SJ and good xc including steps, ditches and water.

Finds arena work and dressage a bit boring so can be lazy but does do it. He is super easy to do at home, clip, shoe, bath, load, catch happily lives in or out with or without company. Always handled by children.

Very sad sale as he is adored by his current rider but she now wants to do more competing and doesn't like hunting. He has far too much to give to sit in a field.

Can be seen and tried hunting with the Ledbury. Right home is of huge importance for this special pony.
