Fabulous Pony club pony.

11.2hh Sec A Gelding 19 yrs

Fantastic pony who is best suited as a 1.5 pony. Super under saddle. Loves hacking, flatwork, jumping and poles. Would happily go round up to 70cm. He is calm, sensible and willing. He is suitable for teaching children the ropes, but would not suit a very nervous child as he likes to keep moving. Never hot or silly. He loves to jump and went clear round the minis at Hickstead in June.

Friendly and easy to keep with all other horses, ponies and sheep.

Loads well in Lorrys or trailers and can be lead from other horses if you want to ride and lead.

Has been to multiple pony club rallies and training sessions, pony club camp and beach rides. He knows and loves his job and needs to be in a home where he will do a lot more than he is doing with us as he is wasted.

Currently unshod but will need fronts back on to do any road or stony hacking.
He Is up to date with vaccines and teeth etc. Not been sick or sorry at all. No sweet-itch or laminitis.

Only for sale as he is totally wasted as sadly my little boy does not want to go faster than walk. Home is a priority and more important than price so will only be sold to referenced homes as he deserves the best.

Great trial facilities. Near Godalming Surrey.

Unfortunately Rocky is too small for myself and the time has come for him to find his new home. He is an absolute superstar pony with so much talent and could go very far!

He was only properly backed this year and has been produced by an 11yo girl and is easy to ride. He has been to BD rider assessments and went to his first stay away 3 day show at the ICC’s and did very very well scoring 86%.

He has also been doing a lot of jumping at the moment and is ready to do a lot more of it. He has jumped showjumps in the arena and also logs on the forest. He will make the perfect pony club/all-rounder pony for someone.

Based in Lymington in The New Forest.

12.2 Welsh part bred gelding. Irish pony who has a JA jumping record and has been on the Irish teams. A true legend in his time. Now 20yrs old and wanting a slower paced lifestyle teaching younger children the joys of riding!

Blue has a laid back attitude making him a really amazing first pony for a kind child to be able to take to the beach, XC rides, hacking or SJ.

Blue has a lot of life left in him and is a really hard type of pony to find. We can trust him with all of our children. He loads and travels like a dream, stands for farrier (bare foot) and would take a child off the lead rein with ease.

No health issues whatsoever. PC references can be provided.

Amazing opportunity for an equestrian family!

Polly is a 13.3hh, 10-year-old cob mare. Kind, calm, and incredibly safe — yet forward and fun — she’s the perfect family all-rounder. Light on her feet with beautiful, rhythmic paces, she offers a secure, enjoyable ride and is as close to bombproof as they come.

She’s been on a busy Pony Club yard since spring and has taken everything in her stride - dogs, children, trampolines, busy hacking tracks and nothing fazes her she’s sociable, affectionate, and loves to be around people.

- Regularly ridden by mum and 12-year-old daughter
- Hacked out by other teens, including in open spaces — always steady and reliable
- Been to fun rides, cross-country hires, Pony Club.
- Loads, travels, clips, baths and catches easily
- Hacks alone or in company, first or last
- Jumps confidently around 50cm with plenty of scope to go higher - just jumped an 80 set of jumps with an experienced rider
- Light, balanced paces & forward but not sharp, with good brakes
- Great with other horses
- Never sick or sorry, sound, healthy, and up to date with farrier, worming, vaccinations, and dentist
- Fully shod with strong feet
- Easy keeper
- No vices

In the school, she has all the basics in place: she picks up correct canter leads, transitions well, and stays balanced and straight to a fence. Trained well to voice commands. Not yet working in an outline but showing plenty of promise with her schooling. Eager to please and progressing beautifully.

Polly has low mileage for her age, is unspoiled, and ready to go on with someone who’ll enjoy producing her further. She’s not yet suitable for a total beginner, but would be a brilliant match for a confident child, teen, or small adult. Ideal as a mother-daughter share, Pony Club mount, or family hunting pony. She loves getting out and about and thrives on variety and human interaction.

Bought as a project planned till spring next year but she’s done so well we are looking for her forever home sooner. We are looking for a loving, active, long-term private home, where she’ll continue to be enjoyed. Only for sale due to finances and truly would keep her if we could.

- Based in Chessington, Surrey
- Offers considered for the right home
- Open to vetting

Rathlacken Gentle Rose (Rosie) is a stunning, sweet mare with a temperament to die for. She was a delight to break in as 4yr old and she was given the winter off to mature. This year, she has returned to work and is now really starting to show her true potential. She is pleasure to do in all ways and isn’t fazed by anything. She loves people and is always the first to come to the field gate for a chat and a scratch!

Rosie has three correct paces, with super movement and she’s a real head turner. She has competed in three dressage competitions, winning them all with over 65%.

Rosie has a super jump and is not fazed by fillers, water trays, etc. She is forward into a fence, but not strong or silly. She has completed one show jumping competition (75cm), coming 2nd, and is easily jumping over 90cm at home, with a lot of scope to burn! She has been XC schooling twice, proving to be brave and honest. She has done ditches, steps, water, skinnies etc, without any issues.

Rosie happily hacks alone or in company and is very safe and sensible. She has been broken in and ridden by a lightweight adult but has also been ridden by children of different abilities. She is perfect to bath, shoe, clip, load, vacs, etc. She is up to date with everything and has no health issues or veterinary history. Rosie is happy to be alone in the field/stable. She is always snaffled mouthed. She really is the sweetest little mare, a pleasure to have on the yard, and she loves to be pampered.

Rosie has class one breeding throughout. She is a quality pony and is one of the last of the ‘Gentle’ Connemara pony line, known for producing ponies that are not only athletic and capable of various disciplines, but also possess a naturally calm and manageable disposition. Her sire is Rathlacken Cascade, who won several champion titles. Rathlacken Cascade is by the gorgeous Laerkens Cascade Dawn, who is a stallion who needs no more introduction. He is supreme champion, Clifden winner, RDS winner and sire of many successful competition ponies.

Rosie is now looking for her new best friend, to have lots of fun with. She would make an ideal PC/RC pony, competition pony, or a great mother/daughter share – she is a true allrounder.

This is a very sad sale, as she will be greatly missed. An excellent home is required for this special pony. Open to viewings and vet checks.

Raffles is a 144cm, 14 year old new forest pony. He was bought as first pony for our daughter but just is a bit much for her hence the sale. He is a lovely pony with lots to give for the right rider. Would suit as a second or third pony. Raffles is very versatile pony having done working hunters, low level dressage and showjumping 70-80cm whilst jumping higher single fences at home.

He has hunted before and is bombproof to hack and isn’t fizzy in open spaces. He has a cheeky but loving personality. He works nicely in a contact and while he is more woah than go he has the ability to go forward nicely. Whilst jumping he is much more forward, will jump from a dodgy stride and doesn’t mind any filler. Raffles doesn’t get fresh if he hasn’t been ridden for a few days and has been ridden by novices though we would like him to go to a home with someone more experienced.

Raffles is registered and we think he’d be a cracking show pony. He is walks straight up to you from the paddock, hes good to shoe, load etc… He can sometimes have a buck though we have found with a balanced rider this is very rare. He has only done this twice with a novice rider with unclear aids. Raffles recently passed a two stage vetting when we bought him and we are happy to discuss any other details.

Raffles has very mild arthritis which has been treated with cartrophen. Price includes brand new Kent and masters GP saddle and two bridles. We are open to most offers. Please text only (no calls) for videos and more information. +4407939647199

  • Kind and sensible pony produced by a child.

Queenie is the most beautiful & flashy 13hh palomino 5yo mare. We have had her since a freshly broken just 4yo and my then 8yo daughter has done loads with her since. She has a huge scopey & willing jump, she schools nicely and is a very kind and easy pony. She is always the first over to you in the field and is very kind to handle. Queenie has regularly attended PC rallies, & private coaching sessions, done fun rides, been to show jumping up to 70 in full up Schools/Club courses, has done XC schooling and competitions. At home Queenie has schooled over 1m without any scope issues at all, but my daughter isn’t ready to compete at that level yet. Queenie would be a fantastic all-rounder, or could be really good Working Hunter as she carries herself in a natural outline and moves very well, and has the benefit of a really scopey jump. She enjoys jumping and doesn’t look to stop or run out. Hacking Queenie is absolutely 100%. We live on Exmoor and regularly hack over open moorland, through bogs, rivers, up and down steep cleaves, and she’s perfect. Living on a farm, she is also well used to heavy machinery and is fine with any traffic, dogs, chickens, bikes, quads and usual children’s antics. Queenie is always the pony we plonk novice school friends on who want to come and have a ride, and she will take even the most nervous or flappy child around the school, over a jump or for a lovely hack, and doesn’t take offence if they bounce about on her or accidentally balance on her mouth. She goes in a snaffle and plain noseband and isn’t strong. Her bad points would be that she doesn’t like the clippers, we are working on it and she’s improving but they’re not her favourite thing, and if she hasn’t been ridden for a few weeks or more when you ask her to work hard in the school she can sometimes give a cheeky kick back when rider puts the leg on. My daughter has never fallen off her and it doesn’t unseat her, in normal work she doesn’t do this.
Queenie loads well in a trailer or lorry. She isn’t nappy and can be left alone in a trailer, or come in away from her field mates without getting silly. She has no health issues, allergies or ailments. She is currently shod as we are on very stony ground, but she could equally well go barefoot in a more normal environment; she has lovely hooves.
We are only selling this super pony as my daughter has become fully committed to pure SJ and we have been lucky enough to buy an out-and-out SJ schoolmaster that she is progressing really well on, and she is not finding time to do enough with Queenie.
Due to our location in the middle of Exmoor (1 hour of winding roads from the closest motorway) I will be briefly sending Queenie to Bobbie-Jo in Bridgewater the near future, to allow trials in a more accessible location, or am very happy to show her to anyone here at home if your happy to make the journey before she goes.

Rosie is a 13.1hh, 9 year old, Blagden cob mare and is a superstar.

Sadly seriously outgrown. We’ve had Rosie all her ridden life and she has pretty much done it all.

Rosie has been used as a mother daughter share and has been to riding club camps, dressage and show jumping competitions, pole, SJ, XC and Arena eventing clinics. Local shows in hand and under saddle.

Rosie has won 60cm SJ classes, jumping them comfortably with scope and jumped 90cm at home, been placed in all her dressage competitions at intro level improving each time with scores in the high 60s (68.9% 20/7/25).

Rosie has been taken around XC courses jumping ditches, steps and logs and anything else you point her at. She has been on fun rides and beach rides and was an angel.

Rosie regularly hacks out alone and in company, happy in front but prefers behind, she is steady and is safe in open fields with great brakes but will go when you ask.

Rosie is good to catch, clip, load and with farrier. Great with farm traffic. Happy in or out. Up to date with teeth, vaccinations and physio.

Price includes tack and some rugs. Loads of photos and videos on request.

Based Powys/ Shropshire border.

Zeus is a full up 12.2 Irish cob with a leg in each corner and is a real sturdy little pony! Rider in photos is 5ft4.

If you’re looking for a pony for your child to have lots of fun on, then Zeus is for you!

He has competed 60cm unaffiliated classes in Ireland. With a fantastic and careful technique over a fence, he has the scope and ability for so much more and will easily be a fab

BS starter pony. Not spooky at any fillers, will jump whatever he is pointed at, never looks for a way out! Zeus has been cross country schooled multiple times which he loves! He’s gone on many XC rides out in large groups. Zeus has also done many riding school lessons in Ireland. He is a fun forward going ride so no total beginners please. However, he is snaffle mouthed in all disciplines, not strong and is sensible to ride. I recently imported him from Ireland and have been having lots of fun with him since, but he is now ready to find his little friend to make memories with!

Zeus is good to handle and deal with, tack up, catch, load, travel. Travels in a trailer and a big horsebox no bother! He actually enjoys being clipped and can be clipped with no head collar on! Even all round his face and ears. He’s a joy to be around, I regularly hop on him bareback in a head collar and ride him out down to the fields.

Zeus is up to date with vaccinations, dentist, recently shod in front. He is fully clipped and ready to go have lots of fun! Zeus loves to hack out and enjoys rides out at the beach. Zeus is currently living out, but is happy coming in and being stabled over night.

He will make the ultimate pony club pony, hunting pony, show jumper, event pony, he will turn his hoof to any discipline.

I hope to find Zeus a little rider who is confident and will thrive with a fun little pony. Open to any viewings, trainers, vet inspections. Passed a five stage vetting on purchase.

For the bling and chrome lovers! ... 137cm 4 yo Welsh section C gelding.

Super quality pony with a fabulous kind temperament. Very well put together, clean limbs, feet like rocks! Will probably never need shoes.

Has a fabulous step and is showing a lot of promise over a pole.

Has had a good few weeks of ground work and had been riding about 5 days... hacking out, walking and trotting up the road, has seen a little traffic. Even had a little canter up the grass verge .. is going to ride like an armchair.

Takes it all in his stride and has been extremely easy so far. Will take a kick and a flap, not a sensitive type...

Would be adult friendly as enough of him.

Can go as he is now or obviously we will put a couple of months work in.

Obviously go's with out saying only just sat on so sensible and experienced although he is super straight forward and has a great temperament.

Could do any job. Produced on make a super PC / allround pony but is showing enough talented loose to make a 138 jumping pony.

£4500 as he is now ... obviously will increase with work.

  • Lovely personality who bonds with her rider
  • Low maintenance & easy to keep.

Alice is ready to find the perfect new home. Gorgeous 13hh, 9-year-old mare. She’s safe, steady, fun — and really deserves her own keen, confident young rider to love her and enjoy her properly.

13hh, 9yo — plenty of years ahead
Barefoot, good doer, low maintenance
Hacks out happily in company (gaining confidence solo)
Easy to catch, load, travel, handle — loves her routine and clear boundaries
Lives in/out with mares or geldings
Best suited to a capable child — will tolerate total beginners but happiest being more active

She’s done a great job on our small riding school, teaching kids from lead rein upwards, but she really comes alive when she’s off the lead rein and has a job to do — Pony Club type activities, hacking, schooling etc. She loves having her own little person.

She’s safe and genuine, very willing to participate, likes boundaries, otherwise can pull to grass in hand and pull the occasional face, but nothing more than this — fantastic pony for a confident rider to enjoy her properly.

She’d make a brilliant second pony or a perfect step-up for a keen child ready for adventures.

The right home is a must. Happy to send videos & more info — please message telling us about your rider & what you’re looking for.

Very open to sensible offers

Based PE16 (Cambridgeshire)

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.

TALLULAH
Gorgeous 2017 dark bay Irish mare standing at a full up 13hh, so beautifully marked and well put together, with a long body and a big step she rides much bigger than 13hh and takes the leg up massively.

Tallulah has lovely paces and produces a great test, she is snaffle mouthed, voice activated and is super safe and easy.

She has done plenty of riding club, showjumping, hunting and dressage. Tallulah will jump whatever you place her at, off any stride and is super careful, a fantastic candidate for a BS pony, or a pony club allrounder as she has plenty of showjumping experience already, she isn’t bothered by XC fences or coloured fillers and she looks after her rider.

She will give you plenty of confidence and makes light work of jumping a track of fences.

She’s super to hack out alone and in company, she isn’t bothered by heavy traffic, farm machinery, or the gayest of traffic, a real super star pony with so much offer and lots of brilliant qualities, she’s special enough to do a showing or worker’s job, but equally a great mother daughter share or pony club pony.

She’s super laid back in the yard, affectionate and sweet to handle in every way, a real easy type to have around with impeccable manners.

Open to any vet or trainer £9950 Trial period available

Mickey is the ultimate first pony off lead rein he's been there done it and got the t-shirt.

He goes at a nice steady pace and is great in all situations wether at a busy show in the collecting ring or out hacking in the open fields he's Mr dependable, will happily hack behind another horse with the tiniest of jockeys or trot round a x pole class never jumping big and always being steady.

He easily pops into Canter and is very steady and just canters in a rhythm he's never strong and can be pulled up by the smallest of kids.

Mickey is literally the ultimate small just off lead rein child's pony . He's a type impossible to find and what every parent is looking for.

Great to box , trim , bath , trim etc  Very easy on the floor always handled by children. Just a complete superstar.

  • Stunning 13hh Palomino Mare, 5yo
  • Talented, Kind & Flashy Allrounder

Queenie is a truly special 13hh 5-year-old palomino mare with the looks, talent and temperament to match. We’ve owned her since she was freshly broken at 4, and in that time, she’s become an absolute star under my now 9-year-old daughter.

She’s beautifully put together with eye-catching presence and a kind, willing nature. Queenie schools nicely on the flat, works in a natural outline, and has a huge, scopey jump. She’s honest, careful and loves her jumping – she’s been out showjumping up to 70cm confidently (club & schools courses) and is schooling over 1m+ at home with ease. She’s also done XC schooling and competitions and would make a super WH or SJ pony for a competitive child.

Out hacking, Queenie is rock solid. Living on Exmoor, she’s tackled every kind of terrain – rivers, bogs, hills, open moorland – and is unfazed by traffic, farm machinery, dogs, bikes, chickens, or flappy kids! She’s often the go-to pony for nervous friends – happy to take beginners for a quiet ride or a pop around the school. She’s never strong or silly, goes in a snaffle, and is a real confidence-giver.

She’s done:
• Pony Club rallies & private lessons
• Fun rides
• Showjumping (up to 70cm), XC schooling & competitions
• Regular hacking over all terrain
• Been handled and ridden by novice children

To handle, she’s a sweetheart. First to the gate, easy to catch, groom, load (trailer or lorry), and perfect to take away from her field mates or stand alone in the trailer. She’s also happy stabled or turned out and has no quirks or vices.

Notable points:
• Currently shod due to stony terrain here, but has excellent feet and could go barefoot elsewhere.
• She’s not keen on clippers (work in progress).
• If out of work for a few weeks, she can be cheeky (a small kick out when asked to work in the school), but never naughty or dangerous – my daughter has never come off her.

Only for sale as my daughter has moved onto an experienced SJ schoolmaster and doesn’t have time to do Queenie justice. She’s ready to bring on a new rider and have tons of fun.

Queenie will soon be heading to Bobbie-Jo’s for viewing in a more accessible location (we’re in the middle of Exmoor – 1hr from the nearest motorway), but I’m happy to show her here before then if you’re willing to travel.

Based on Exmoor (South West)
Sensibly priced – please message for details

Videos and more info available on request. 5?? home essential for this much-loved pony.
