Newly backed 4yo 14.1h Connemara X ISH for loan/ long term loan. Iris has been absolutely perfect to start and is now looking for someone to hack her and/ or produce her in the long term.

Iris is the daughter of our perfect mare, Daisy. Her father is international show jumper 'Ardcolum Duke' and he also has an amazing temperament. Our daughter backed Iris this summer with the help of Tom Mitchel with natural horsemanship methods. Iris has been absolutely perfect to start and is now looking for someone to hack her and/ or produce her in the long term.

She has an adorable temperament, is not spooky, and is very straightforward. She has hacked alone and in company, been on a sponsored ride and gone through all 3 paces. She is lovely to handle and very cuddly. She has lived out in a herd, and happy to come in for drying time in the winter and be in over night or through the day. She is easy to travel. She has not had any bad experiences.

Looking for the perfect loan home who will treat her like their own, nurture her and bring her on gently. We do not have a deadline for this loan as our daughter has her own small horse (a 15 hand amazing palomino, who we also need to figure out what to do with!) and has gone off to uni, our son has given up riding and we still have her perfect mother, Daisy. Iris might still be growing and we expect her to be an incredibly versatile horse with a great jump.

Roo is a sweet and genuine mare who has been slowly and correctly produced over the last 10months. She is now ready to go out and do a job for someone.

She has been out to arena hires unaff show jumping, and XC schooling and low level dressage. Taking everything in her stride, she has also competed in the ROR tattersalls in hand qualifier been placed 5th showing her quality and versatility.

She is a pleasure to have on the yard with lovely stable manners and a kind gentle manner.

She still has some maturing and strengthening to do as expected for her age but with time and milage she will make a super partner for someone looking to produce a fun, capable allrounder or competitive event type.

Sandy is truly one in a million! Not only is she an outstanding competition pony having been shortlisted for Europeans a few years ago as an FEI event pony, she is also the kindest, sweetest girl who is fantastic to hack, great in traffic and just super good fun to have around!

She adores people and is excellent to do in all respects.

She is an amazing mover and has 3 very good gaits, Rhythmical trot and up off the floor canter and a ground covering walk, she's easy in the contact and moves off the leg beautifully and is very established in the shoulder in and leg yield. I'm convinced she would make a top dressage pony capable of making teams in the future. She's very secure in all the elementary movements and is working towards medium.

Obviously with her past she is a fantastic cross country and jumping machine! However her owners would really love her to have a quieter life now so would ideally like her go to a younger child wanting to get going in eventing/ PC or an ambitious dressage rider to develop this side of her talent.

She would of course also suit a small adult in so many different disciplines including showing.

I can't stress how wonderful this pony is I only wish something as good as this came along when my daughter was young!

She is priced very competitively for the quality of pony she is.

Alfie - Stunning gelding with the breeding of Ilove you melody x tempo active atlas who have excellent showjumping bloodlines.

Alfie has been doing light flat work and a course of 70-80cm with fillers, and has recently popped a few xc jumps.

Forward and not spooky at all, will jump anything that is put infront of him. He has been to a few training days and hasn't put a foot wrong.

Alfie has the sweetest temperament, as he is still young and is starting his career he does need a knowledgeable rider to help develop his career. He would make a perfect all rounder/eventer as he has shown 3 smart paces and is very sensible for his age.

He is snaffle mouthed, good with the farrier, hacking and loading etc. Alfie would suit a competiton home as he loves his job and the attention.

Rathlacken Gentle Rose (Rosie) is a stunning, sweet mare with a temperament to die for. She was a delight to break in as 4yr old and she was given the winter off to mature. This year, she has returned to work and is now really starting to show her true potential. She is pleasure to do in all ways and isn’t fazed by anything. She loves people and is always the first to come to the field gate for a chat and a scratch!

Rosie has three correct paces, with super movement and she’s a real head turner. She has competed in three dressage competitions, winning them all with over 65%.

Rosie has a super jump and is not fazed by fillers, water trays, etc. She is forward into a fence, but not strong or silly. She has completed one show jumping competition (75cm), coming 2nd, and is easily jumping over 90cm at home, with a lot of scope to burn! She has been XC schooling twice, proving to be brave and honest. She has done ditches, steps, water, skinnies etc, without any issues.

Rosie happily hacks alone or in company and is very safe and sensible. She has been broken in and ridden by a lightweight adult but has also been ridden by children of different abilities. She is perfect to bath, shoe, clip, load, vacs, etc. She is up to date with everything and has no health issues or veterinary history. Rosie is happy to be alone in the field/stable. She is always snaffled mouthed. She really is the sweetest little mare, a pleasure to have on the yard, and she loves to be pampered.

Rosie has class one breeding throughout. She is a quality pony and is one of the last of the ‘Gentle’ Connemara pony line, known for producing ponies that are not only athletic and capable of various disciplines, but also possess a naturally calm and manageable disposition. Her sire is Rathlacken Cascade, who won several champion titles. Rathlacken Cascade is by the gorgeous Laerkens Cascade Dawn, who is a stallion who needs no more introduction. He is supreme champion, Clifden winner, RDS winner and sire of many successful competition ponies.

Rosie is now looking for her new best friend, to have lots of fun with. She would make an ideal PC/RC pony, competition pony, or a great mother/daughter share – she is a true allrounder.

Polly is an absolute mother’s dream. She will happily hack out on the buckle, is unfazed by any type of traffic, and will even pop a jump in the school bareback or bitless. She’s the sort of mare that truly looks after her rider.

Polly, Pouleywerrin Star, is a registered Connemara mare with outstanding Class 1 breeding on both sides. Her sire, Cornarone Hazy Lad (by Frederiksminde Hazy Match), and her dam, Shanacavass Red (by Truskan Boy), are both Class 1, combining some of the best-known lines for temperament, versatility, and performance.

This season Polly has puppy hunted and behaved impeccably throughout. She has also enjoyed sponsored rides, days at the beach, adult pony camp, and cross-country outings.

While still a little green in the school, she has a wonderfully trainable attitude and is always willing to please. She has already schooled around courses up to 90cm and shows plenty of potential to progress further with continued training.

Polly would suit a wide variety of homes, though I can see her thriving with someone who enjoys Pony Club–style activities and plenty of fun adventures.

She does have a scar on her neck, which she has had since a foal. My vet has checked it thoroughly and confirmed that it has no impact on her health or way of going. I am happy for any vet or trainer to assess her. Please don’t let this put you off, as I truly believe she is a one in a million pony!

Kildromin Star is a 15.1hh registered Connemara gelding.

Star has been with us for 18 months after coming to us straight from Ireland as a freshly backed 4 year old. He is a responsive ride, whilst always being snaffle mouthed. He is confident and honest jumping and forgiving of his riders mistakes.

We have been careful not to over jump him at a young age and he has been slowly and carefully allowed to learn, which really shows in his happy, confident attitude.

On the flat Star has a soft mouth and a lovely trainable attitude, he goes nicely and is learning to be more consistent in his way of going. He prefers a quiet, kind rider.

Star hacks happily in company both on quiet lanes and in open fields, but is still green/nervous to hack alone. This is something which will easily come in time.

I believe he will excel in any sphere from pony club/riding club to more competitive competition homes.

Due to his age, he does still require an experienced home to take him out and show him the world.

Star is good to handle in all ways, can be handled 100% by children. Good for farrier, vet etc. Turns out well in a mixed field and also happy to be stabled.
