Don't be deceived by his age - Blue still behaves and competes like a 7 year old!

Has an awesome BS record (346333) and has jumped above 1m, but due to his age he doesn't want to jump above 75cms.

He would suit a child who want to win at 70/75cms but he is not a beginners pony.

He is a cherished pony and not for sale but we would like him to be used, my daughter has outgrown him and needs to commit to her new pony.

Would prefer him to stay in the South East so we can follow his progress. Can even stay where he is!!

Great lead-rein pony, just off lead-rein or 2nd pony for a confident able child.

Total gentleman with the little ones, can be led off another horse or on foot.

He has been to Pony Club camp every year for the past few years, taken part in PC team competitions in Show jumping, Dressage, including the area mini championships, Tetrathlons and Mounted Games as well as competing at local shows.

Hacks on or off lead rein safely.

Trots over x-poles and has taught both my daughters to jump.

He will jump x-poles up to around 60cm. Once he gets to the bigger height though he can be fast when jumping so he's ideal for beginners and lead-reins that are starting at the lower heights as he happily trots over them or he would make a good 2nd pony for a more confident older child.

Has been to children's hunt meets and beach rides.

Led and handled by young children, easy to take care off.

Loads, good for farrier, vet etc.

He does have cushings and is on 1/2 tablet per day. He is healthy and well and this doesn't affect his ability.

Lives in or out.

Price includes bridle and rug. Saddle available at extra cost.

Wanted: First Ridden Pony

  • Genuine, kind, well behaved, good to handle.

  • Lovely, experienced, rural family home.

We are looking for a kind, genuine and willing first ridden pony. Confidence-giving, reliability and soundness are really important. It needs to be safe and positive enough to ride in an arena, open field and hack off the lead rein. Good manners and good behaviour in traffic, for the farrier, to handle and at rallies/out and about etc are important. Experience of Pony Club is desirable. No laminitis, sweet itch or other health conditions if at all possible.

We like to hack out in company and alone, do rallies, camp and the odd competition/show, perhaps a little bit of hunting. A pony who is keen to jump is vital and even better if they would be willing to step up a level in a couple of years or step down for now. An ability to hunt is not necessary but would be great.

We have loved having a lead rein pony for the last couple of years but need to move on to something that allows a bit more independence and developing their riding further. We are an experienced family home in a lovely location with other horses. Good facilities, turnout, stables. This would be a home for life as we have other younger children who enjoy riding too. Good price paid for the right pony.

Ideally within 1-1.5 hours of Rutland/Leics border near Oakham, postcode LE15.

Photos/videos/details via text, WhatsApp or just information via email would be best.

After years of success we bought King to be a home pony four years ago, he has since attended regular children’s hunt meets along with pony club rallies and camp.

We decided this year to let our son have the chance to show him and he has qualified for both RI & HOYS with ease!

We believe this pny has years of competing left in him as he has very low Milage for his age. Never sick or sorry and open to any vetting.

Home is more importsnthan price and if the right Home doesn’t come along then he will remain with us.
