For sale due to my daughter moving out and loosing interest. I haven’t got the time and experience and hence for the past 12+ months I have used him as a happy hacker, being a novice mum.

15hh 11 year, gelding with a superb kind temperament and so much scope. Unrecorded breeding on basic Irish passport.

He’s done hacking, hunting, fun rides, XC, show jumping in the past. However these days he’d is happier being a happy hacker and perhaps in time build up to doing some fun rides again. He’s not faced by having machinery, children, dogs or other horses around him. Hacks alone or in company.

He’s good to load on a trailer or lorry, good with vets, easy to catch, shoe, clip, stands quietly to groom and good for dentist. He’s a gem to have around and so easy to do.

We are working on a more controlled canter in the school. I feel cater work in the school is going to be a project. He has not done any jumping recently but I know he was quick to the fence in the past. I believe he needs an experienced adult rider to work with him if he is ridden in a school.

I however am a novice and he’s only done hacking with myself in the past year. He’s brilliant if hacking is all you want from him. If you want more then he will need someone with some patience and skill. Sadly I haven’t got the time to do enough with him. He could be a great mother and adult daughter share.

Im a confident rider with many many years of experience with different breed of horses. However, as I am nearing 40, i am now looking for my last horse of a life time, so looking for a nice allrounder to have fun and bring me back home safe and in one piece.

I own a small holding which consists of stables, arena and 10 acres of land.

Currently have 6 horses at home which consist of a pony for my daughter, 2 retired that have been with me for years and 3 youngsters I bred myself.

Things I am looking for in my next horse - they must be easy to do in all ways, I often will go to shows by myself or with my young daughter.

Confidence giver and forgiving in the jumping department, someone to help me out when I get it wrong - nice steady approach when jumping, don’t want something that locks on a shoots forward.

Hack out alone and in company.

Would like to start doing more dressage, so something that knows the basics.

I do enjoy the odd fun ride with a friend so would be nice if I can do this without the horse jogging the entire way or running off when another horse comes past. (Had many of these type of horses when I was younger, my body was more able back then)

No bucking, rearing - I understand it is impossible to ask for a bomb proof horse but something not too spooky.

I am actively looking and have a healthy budget for the right horse.

Height - 15.2hh to 16.3hh

Age - 7 years to 11years may go slightly older depending on how old. But don’t want to go any younger as I do what the horse to have experience.

Ideally looking to buy from a private home, someone who has had their horse for a while and knows a lot of history.

Bek has been with me since a 4 year old. Very sad sale due to being a single mum and not having the time.

Bek is a lovely allrounder horse. He absolutely loves to hack, bold, forward going and really enjoys it. He can go first or last, safe in open spaces and doesn’t hot up if others are. Will happily jump hedges, ditches, logs, a bench etc. Goes out in company or on his own. I hack him bareback with the dogs he is a very uncomplicated ride.

Flat work is coming along nicely with 3 big balanced paces and nice transitions. He really enjoys his schooling! He was just starting his lateral work and changes before I got pregnant and had time off.

Beks has had weekly lessons on the yard and has regularly taken part in group lessons/ clinics / local dressage competitions/ show jump and cross country clear rounds. Always happy to give everything a go.

Bek loves cross country and has never said no! Forward going and bold to a fence. Jumps ditches, water etc. Currently jumping 80/90 cm confidently. Has scope for more but I’m a wimp!

Perfect for the dentist / vet. Loads well but hasn’t travelled much due to having no transport.

Beks has previously been advertised and is back for sale due to no fault of his own! He is now in full time work and fit and ready to go!

I do not think he will suit your daughter coming out of a riding school

I do not think he would suit someone just learning to canter

Beks loves to jump and definitely has more “go” than “whoa”! He’s forward-thinking and enthusiastic, which makes him fun, but it also means he needs a balanced, confident rider. If a rider gets unbalanced or uncertain, he can scoot forward and become a bit anxious. It’s never anything nasty, and he has never stopped at a fence, but it does make him unsuitable as a jumping ride for a novice.

Open to vettings. Beks passed a vetting and x-rays when I bought him.
