Diamond Approach (aka Boodles) is a stunning 17h 6yo Homebred Irish Sports horse Mare. By ID Stallion Diamond Lodge II (King of Diamond lines) out of an event mare with back breeding full of quality sport horse sires, such as Jumbo and Dallas.

Boodles boasts the most wonderful kind temperament. She schools politely on the flat, is mannerly and straightforward to a fence and is not offended by a miss. She is a comfortable ride having been produced entirely by a lady rider, and has been ridden by small teenage girls here. She’s very put together and balanced, so does not ride huge!

Boodles has been produced slowly, with it in mind that she is a big young horse, but has successfully had a go at some training ODE’s, done a few days hunting and has team chased, including being lead horse. Has the most fantastic bold jump, he’s very honest and enjoys it. He moves beautifully has 3 well balanced paces.

Sky is a traditionally bred Irish Sport horse with some of the best Irish performance lines. He is by Cougar - a son of the legendary Irish Show Jumper Cruising.

On the dam side his dam is Kilcoltrim Kitten by Ghareeb. Kilcoltrim Kittens first foal was Kilcoltrim Kit Kat. The second dam Sky Rise, who is by Sky Boy, produced Kilcoltrim Jacko who went to 3 star level.

Sky stands about 17.1 hands over 9 inches of bone and has excellent conformation. He has taken to jumping like a duck to water and loves his job.


Performance wise we have taken him very slowly he did a few training shows last autumn. In the spring we started focusing on his event training and he has done 4 events and a few other bits and pieces including the RUAS search for a Star and the video is attached to this advert. We believe that there is so much potential in this horse and he would be a real candidate for the age classes.

Miri has beautiful paces and has shown great potential with her jumping, proving to be ultra bold- never stopping, super keen and not strong! She has XC schooled once and I couldn’t believe how well behaved she was- there was nothing she didn’t try! Always a snaffle mouth, I’ve hacked her alone many times and in company- she loves her hacking.

Miri has been out of work for a while due to my work and family commitments, this break is due to no fault of her own and she is ready for someone to bring out the best in her. I’d really like for her to go to someone that will give her a loving home, rather than a dealer that’ll put a bit of work into her and stick a big lump of money on her price. She learns quickly and will thrive with consistent work, she’s stunning to look at and a super friendly mare that just needs some work put into her. She can be turned out with mares or geldings, I’ve never even heard her squeal- I wouldn’t think twice about putting her out with a Shetland, she loves everyone!

Owned since a 3yr old, Ollie has been slowly and correctly produced with longevity and future success in any chosen discipline in mind.

He has 3 fantastic paces, is uphill with natural self carriage and power. He has a very wiling and trainable attitude to his work. He’s competed lightly but very successfully BD at prelim level and qualified for the Winter Area Festival in just a few outings. He’s won 6/7 of his BD outings, always gaining great marks at 70%+ He’s progressed to Novice BD and is showing all the ability and potential for the higher levels in dressage.

Ollie loves to jump. He has been to training shows and jumped clear rounds at BS on a ticket. Happily competing at BN/90 and training at 1m currently. He is super athletic, very bold to a fence, yet very careful. Jumps anything and puts a big smile on your face. He hasn’t been over jumped but is showing great promise over a fence to be really competitive in the showjumping ring.

Given Ollie’s naturally athletic type he would make a fantastic event horse. He has jumped clear round a flagged BE course and jumps ditches, skinnies, corners, water, steps etc. He’s a very genuine, forward going horse who covers the ground easily and he really enjoys the XC. He would definitely be a very successful BE horse, he would easily go Novice/2* with scope for more with the correct training.

Ollie is a super softie, a real sweetheart and would be your best friend. He’s exceptionally well behaved both at home and out at competitions.
