Ziggy represents a fantastic opportunity for a safe, sensible, talented young horse who is currently on an upward trajectory and has huge potential as well as being straight forward and a pleasure to ride and to deal with in any and every situation.
She is willing, well schooled, safe and non spooky to ride alone, in company, at shows, on the road and in open spaces. She has a tremendous work ethic and is calm, focused and sensible enough to suit almost any rider and give confidence as not a lot bothers this kind, willing girl. She has style, presence and she has unbelievably good manners in all situations for such a young horse.
GFS Zingalina was bred to compete and whether it is to show jump, event or even perhaps a bit of a flit between the white boards, she showed immediate potential in all three of these disciplines after only her first three months under saddle in the summer of 2024. She is also a fantastic prospect for someone in search of that mythical allrounder who makes riding fun and puts a smile on your face without having to second guess potential problems.
She was turned away towards the end of last year as a four year old and brought back into work in February. At the end of April a foot abscess frustratingly put her out of work until June, but once brought back into work she is now going better than ever.
This young mare represents an enormously exciting prospect for anyone looking to produce a young horse with ambitions to aim high without the stress of a highly strung, silly, spooky or awkward character. She is as genuine and honest as they come and is a sort seriously difficult to source.
Ziggy has a big lovable character, she exhibits great intelligence and has a natural aptitude for rapid understanding and willingness to cooperate. She is a motivated young horse with a superb attitude under saddle. She loves work and approaches all challenges with enthusiasm and maximum effort. If she was not so young and relatively inexperienced, you could almost put a novice on her.
Last summer she went from lightly backed to achieving 7th in a highly competetive BYEH 4 year old class at Howick, even following a five hour traffic stoppage on the M5 and ten minutes to warm up before her class upon her eventual arrival! This was after only three months under saddle!!
Ziggy has attended several training shows - dressage and SJ, she has been to a number of arena hires, cross country and hacks on roads or across the vast expanse of Dartmoor in a snaffle, always exhibiting superb manners and a calm, sensible approach.
She loads and travels well, comes to call, she is vice free, superb with the farrier, dentist and to worm.
She stands beautifully at shows and demonstrates behaviour well beyond her years and experience. She is up to date with her vaccinations, teeth and recently thoroughly checked by Amy Cox physiotherapist with no issues identified.
Ziggy is very much a peoples horse, she is loving, trustworthy and I cannot stress how easy she is to ride, how quickly she responds to training and how responsive she is under saddle. She is always in a Nathe soft loose ring snaffle.
