She’s snaffle mouthed, is easy to ride to a very, is super brave and very careful. She’s competitive against the clock and is easy to ride to a fence. She’s recently just completed the 4* Hickstead speed derby.

A lovely easy genuine mare that’s a pleasure to do in all ways. She’s great to hack alone or in company and never gets fresh sharp or silly.

She rides nicely on the flat and would suit a real variety of riders.

Pogo is a striking mare with a great attitude and an even bigger heart. Always wants to please, works in a good outline in all 3 gaits, has taken to lateral work well & has auto flying changes. Pogo has been to many big shows, will stand on the lorry for hours and tries her hardest in the ring everytime. Schooling round 1.30m at home. She hacks out well and has XC schooled proving bold & brave. Owned by amateur riders. Not Mareish- living next to geldings; she is very easy to do. Ridden by both male & female riders. Having jumped upto Foxhunter in the ring, Pogo has plenty of scope & ability, but equally she is happy to pop over 70cm fences in the school and look after her rider. 

Pogo is shod all round, up to date with vaccinations and teeth. She has travelled in a 26ton, 18ton, 7.5ton lorry & trailer.

We are having an unbelievable time with this horse  and we will continue to run him up to the point he gets sold he is with Holly Smith full-time. Where can I start? We bought him winter 2024. He had been with the breeder in Ireland. Who competed him nationally and internationally before selling him to us. As a five-year-old, they thought he was going to be a Grand Prix horse. We are so privileged to have bought him.

We got him and we let our Rider get to know him , she won a few 120s on him and she also won a few 130s on him

He got place in a couple of 140s and he took her around her first couple of 140s . She had a lot of fun on him. We felt he was a bit better and she lacked experience at higher levels so we decided to send him to Holly. 

He was placed with Holly in the 140 Grand Prix  at the Welsh International

He has won two 140s with her  and placed in lots of others they also had an unlucky fence in Windsor and a very unlucky fence in his first 145 a few weeks ago . He is a proper careful jumper. But the icing on the cake so far is not only has he qualified for hoys he won the talent seekers at chard 2025 and won in great style. It was a very tricky course. And he was super competitive. Getting a lovely mention in the horse and hound. And if you put his name into Google, some lovely information comes up. 

This horse is only getting going at this level  we really wanted to get a measure on him and he’s heading towards ranking classes around September October time he would be an unbelievable horse to take down to Spain as he is a real winner. Would be a top class young rider Horse Junior possibly. 

He has got an outstanding temperament and you could put your child on him to hack out . He’s a wonderful horse to look after on the ground and have a show.

He’s got a really good flat work with automatic change changes  he really enjoys his work. But he is literally your best friend and is such a loving horse.

We will be sad, but excited to see him go on . He would be a good horse for the global tours. Are those second classes that they have on the like of nation cup shows 145 as he would win lots of them . He only started his 140 career this year and it will continue up to Rankings. But his price will increase as soon as we get that ranking record.

Since moving in, we’ve carried out extensive renovations, including transforming the indoor arena, which now boasts a state-of-the-art Andrews Bowen jumping surface.

This is truly a magical place, located just 12 miles from Trafalgar Square with excellent access to motorways and transport networks. The Central and Elizabeth Underground lines are just a mile from our yard, with Fairlop station being the nearest. From there, you can enjoy a scenic walk directly across Fairlop Waters to reach us.

Set within over 50 acres of stunning parkland, Aldborough Hall Equestrian is a charming retreat. The stables are arranged in a traditional courtyard surrounding a tranquil garden. Our indoor arena measures an impressive 60 x 25 metres, while the outdoor arena, set to undergo refurbishments in spring 2025, is a generous 100 x 60 metres. The grounds also feature a variety of permanent cross-country fences, adding to the diverse training opportunities available.

One of the highlights of Aldborough Hall is the exceptional hacking. A private track leads directly from the yard onto Fairlop Waters, where you’ll find an all-weather track that extends for miles in a circular route, ideal for year-round use. Additionally, there are grass canter tracks throughout the park, providing variety for schooling and a welcome change from arena work—all without the worry of encountering traffic.
