Rosie 7 year old full Connemara mare

Rosie is a truly lovely 15hh 7 year old Connemara mare by the outstanding Ross Fear Bui. She has been with me since she was 3. She has been carefully produced with her future in mind and, despite having already experienced a wide variety of disciplines, I feel she is yet to reach her full potential.

She has a fantastic CV, including hunter trials, unaffiliated dressage, showjumping , cross country. Rosie scored an impressive 65% in her first dressage test and is competing confidently at 90cm showjumping, schooling bigger at home. She has also been cross-country schooling on both grass and synthetic surfaces and has successfully completed unaffiliated ODEs.

She is bold,careful and very honest.

This mare would make a serious event prospect but equally has the potential to go down any path.

She is a mare who rarely comes home without a rosette and genuinely enjoys having a job.

Rosie hacks happily alone and in company and is a pleasure to have around. She is forward-going, responsive and soft in the hand, so although she is not a novice or nervous rider’s ride, she is incredibly rewarding for the right person.

We feel she would make a fantastic amateur competition horse or for a competent child. She has the attitude and ability to turn her hoof to most things and would thrive in a home where she has a varied lifestyle and a job to do she is a seriously special mare.

“Bea” is a beautifully put together 6yo 16hh Irish Draft X out of Class 1 ID stallion “Irish Mist” & award winning show cob “Prismatic Spring”. 3 naturally uphill & elastic paces, with plenty of bone whilst still being sporty enough & having a big enough “engine” to have a future in any sphere. 

Having been given time to mature, Bea has been to a number of arena hires, fun rides, clinics & cross country schooled, showing a positive outlook to life & new experiences. She has also been ridden by young teenage girls & adapted excellently. She is honest, bold & just wants a job to do and a person who will love her for the kind and talented girl she is. 

She has begun basic lateral work, auto changes around a course of fences & is happily jumping 80/90cm courses. She maintains an excellent rhythm & has a soft but careful jump. She went to her first arena hire last week, it was busy and windy and she didn’t bat an eyelid. She concentrated and got on with the job, no drama, no fuss, no spookiness.

She is now available to the very best of homes and would excel in all disciplines. With siblings competing up to novice BD as well as BS she could be an excellent completion horse with further education. With her attitude to work she would be a fantastic competent teenagers horse to go up through the ranks and if our daughter were a few years older she wouldn’t be going anywhere! Equally she would make any adult very happy whether that be in the show ring, riding club, dressage or all rounder, she is a blank canvas ready for someone to make their mark.
