He’s a brilliant sports horse ready for his next adventure, I’ve had him since 2022 and he’s been my pride and joy since. He is willing and eager to try anything although he thrives in showjumping. He’s competed affiliated with his previous owners mostly at 1.10 and had great results. Due to me not being as confident I’ve competed with him at 90/1m. He’s got a gorgeous jump and is easily ridden in a snaffle bit. He’s can be more energetic in the show ring but this is just due to excitement.

Finn has beautiful paces and would make a great dressage horse. He’s not strong and listens well when being asked to go forward. I’ve done some cross country with him as a fun day out but never went far as this was never my interest, in the right hands I think he would excel in this.

Finn can rear due to being over excited or nervous so he is not suited to novice riders and will only benefit from someone confident who’s willing to work with him. Saying this he isn’t nasty and doesn’t do it out of spite. He’s is a very talented horse and will take his rider far.

He’s not in consistent work at the minute due to me being so busy however would be absolutely fine to get straight on and crack on with him. He’s only being sold due to him not getting the attention and work he needs.

He will go far in any discipline and is always happy to work. He currently lives out but is fine living in, he has cribbed at his door before but with a bit of cribex he stops. He’s okay to load, great for the farrier and out at shows/hires but can be difficult for the dentist so gets sedated.

General rugs and other bits will come with him. Ideal jumping saddle available at extra cost

Known as Rue on the yard, this lovely homebred mare is a genuine and straightforward type with an excellent temperament. She carries proven breeding by the Oldenburg stallion Casanova VI, who evented to 3* and showjumped to 1.40m before injury, and out of Lady Gaga (by Telstar), a mare with strong dressage influence and quality bloodlines.

Rue was broken in last year and was only broken in late due to the illness of her owner, through no fault of her own. As a result, she is still low mileage and IS GREEN, but has been carefully and sympathetically produced and is proving to be extremely trainable. She has three uphill paces and a natural jump. Having schooled cross-country, she has confidently jumped ditches, steps and water on her first attempts. She has also seen a variety of show jumps, fillers and spreads, and is confident into fences.

She has already been out to unaffiliated dressage and has recently completed her first showjumping competition with a 14-year-old rider, taking everything in her stride. She has also taken novice riders hacking across the forest and heath, happily leads or goes alone & in company, and has proved sensible in all environments. She has not bucked, reared or spun, and isnt sharp, making her an excellent candidate as a mother& daughter share.

On the ground, Rue is a delight to handle in every way. She is easy to shoe, box, travel, and tie, and is polite and uncomplicated to have on the yard.

This much-loved mare is still green only because of her later start, but she is willing, genuine, and ready for someone to put their own stamp on. Please bare this in mind- she is not a finished product or a schoolmaster, but a lovely, vice & injury/ailment-free, well-bred mare.

With her temperament, paces and scope, she would excel as an all-rounder and provide her new owner with endless enjoyment, but we equally feel she would absolutely thrive as a dressage horse with her paces and breeding.

Sad genuine sale of a very much loved horse.
Connemara x TB (registered TIH) brought over from Ireland by current ower as a 4yo, backed and produced. Since a 4yo he has led a varied life including:
- Hunted as a 5-7yo - loves it! always has brakes. Jumps all logs, rails, small-mid hedges and ditches. Excellent on his feet, quick and TB stamina really comes in. Owner is not a seasoned hunter so never pushed him too far.
- Unaffiliated SJ up to 95 inc wins and qualifications.
- Unaffiliated eventing up to 90 with placings and always 20s dressage.
- He is well schooled and completed dressage as a youngster up to Novice (schooled to a decent elementary) however he does not respond well to a lot of arena-based flat schooling. He is far better away from "home" at clinics etc, however due to the schooling limitations he is not suited to a dressage home.
- LOTS of hacking, on and off road, varying terrains and environments.
- Fun rides (Inc the summer rides by the hunt)
- Lots of beach trips - very sane and sensible but equally excellent fun.
- Couple of workers classes both placed - with an owner who has no clue on this side!

He has done a substantial amount more training miles than competitive due to owner; he regularly XC schooled and easily jumps a clear at a good 90 standard (used to be based up North with access to Somerford etc). Regular lessons and clinics particularly for SJ, gridwork very well established and was regularly training at 1.10. Lots of pole work; he's very agile and careful with his feet.

At 8yo he moved south with owner and stopped competing. He has been on loan for a few months, teaching a 15yo girl how to jump, taking her to her first competition which was a HT, where he went clear for 2nd and a qualification. For the immediate last 6 months he has only hacked with the occasional school session.

The "quirk" with this horse is he really does like to get to know his rider and he does not adapt well to changing riders. We have struggled with viewings in the school, he will simply plant his feet. For this reason he has now been reduced, in an attempt to find him his new person.
We will not continue to upset him - you must be willing to view by either hacking or riding in the field. He is very safe.

He is up to date with everything inc vet and physio, and in great condition for time of year and given the lack of gras we have all had.

He has the most wonderful temperament on the ground, is great to box clip shoe etc

Honest advert, no time wasters please this is hard enough, he deserves the perfect home which is why he will be turned away if that doesn't exist.
