We are looking for the next Pony to join our family to take part in all things Pony club, Local SJ shows, Showing, lots of hacking and lessons.

The Pony would be cared for by myself on a small private yard near High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire along with our other 2 horses.

I hack regularly with my two children so a Pony that is safe cantering in open spaces and being handled by children is must.

My daughter is keen to pursue her jumping/working hunter further so a pony that has been there, done it and not phased by fillers etc.

Please no youngsters/green or project ponies.

References available

For transport we have a 4 herringbone trailer.

Buddy is full of character – a little quirky, sometimes stubborn, but always loveable. He needs a confident and capable rider who can keep him focused and working otherwise he can take the mick, nothing dangerous just stubborn and occasionally naps. To hack, he’s great in company but sometimes needs reassurance if he’s on his own. As my daughter’s only 12 I’ve always been on foot and he’s been great. Brilliant with traffic but may have a look if something looks out of place. Again nothing dangerous but just needs reassurance and confidence.

That being said he is perfect as a lead rein pony – he’s calm, kind and steady for little ones and will happily follow his leader. His ideal home would be with a small child with an older sibling or a petite parent who can continue his education.

He’s a super all-rounder with heaps of potential in the right hands. He would definitely excel in the showing ring due to his dashing looks and has proven to be successful in-hand as a youngster. This is a very sad sale due to his rider having outgrown him and we have purchased her next horse.

Buddy deserves a fun, active home where he’ll be kept busy and loved. He will stand for hours with a haynet to be pampered.

Buddy prefers to be in a field with others but will settle if others are out around him.

He can be a little strong for the grass at times when leading him out, I’ve found a rope halter is more than adequate to correct this behaviour and my 12 year old is more than capable of leading him and out from the field.

Excellent to bath, groom, shoe (front feet only) and load.

Comes with saddle pads,saddle (brand new 2 years ago),bridle and rugs.

Finding Buddy the best of homes is the most important part of this sale. Not suitable for a novice unless on the lead reign. Open to vetting.

12.0 Welsh A 10 year old Liver Chestnut Gelding.

Done all PC activities DR, SJ, XC, Stay away Shows, he’s had a go at everything. Super talented with great paces and smooth jump for the littler ones.

Been ridden as a Lead Rein Pony, ridden by a 5 year old, beginners and older kids for the more fun stuff. Not a FYFR at competitions as needs more guidance. Game little chap, loves his jumping and fines the bigger jump easy. Great in open spaces XC and out and about hacking.

Will go round little jumps but can easily step up to 60 courses and potentially bigger. Not found anything he won’t jump.

Vaccinationed, teeth done, great to shoe, not the bravest to be clipped. Travels alone or in company

13.2 traditional Irish cob mare.

15 years old. Passported and vaccinated, can be barefoot or shod and worming etc up to date.

Recently, she has earned her keep and taught various types of rider to ride in a riding school environment. She has also been ridden by just one rider to build her confidence and introduce her to jumping courses. She has been used for a range of riders from lead rein beginners to better riders in an arena and children and small adults out hacking. She has done all pony club activities and local shows. Very sadly now she is for sale.

She is the ultimate happy hack, good in open spaces and in traffic. She is divine to hack alone and would suit a mum to potter about and enjoy the peace and quiet in the week and children to have fun on at the weekend. She doesn't mind fancy dress, dogs, kids etc. she absolutely loves to go mini SJ and XC but isn't the athletic type and would rather stick to not having to leave the ground by too much and obstacles under 60 cm! She will give things a go and is an intro to competing type, not a competition pony.

That said she is more off the leg than a total kick along. She's not whizzy but is a kind willing person and will happily go faster when asked.

She enjoys the beach and is brave enough to swim if you are! She'll happily stick to the sand or have a paddle and equally will have a canter if asked.

She had a very good grounding, starting her life in Ireland with a family being ridden and driven through all sorts of traffic and a busy town and built up area.

She is just the most biddable, loving people-person who deserves THE very best of homes.

She's not going to ever be the fastest, the most glamorous, the most sporty or the most athletic pony but she would be one of the kindest and most reliable.

Please no timewasters and only the kindest and most loving homes need apply.

Open to sensible negotiation if you can tick the boxes for providing her with a home fit for the princess she is.

Ronny has a super, laid back temperament, well mannered with a heart of gold, he is a lovely confidence giver and very tolerant.

He is very quiet to groom and tack up etc...

Fantastic to hack in the heaviest of traffic alone and in company, perfect in open spaces / cows and sheep.Steady ride , always snaffle mouthed , doesn’t get silly and sharp and has a balanced canter.

Ronny loves X country , bold and brave to jump and steady -jumps on and off banks, ditches , in water etc.. stands while you get on , he is a true Schoolmaster.

He rides nice and light in the school and never gets strong and you can put a lot of leg on him , he just wants to please.

You can ride Ronny bare back , the kids jump on and of him all the time in the stable , such a fun cob.. jumps show jumps well and very honest.

These types of cob are hard to find , he is one in a million! Super safe !

He has been a trekking cob in Ireland and been part of a family on a farm. 

He would suit a happy hacker/riding club/lead-rein/ pony club/riding school sort of homes ... 

Ronny loves fuss and attention, he loves my children riding and handling him , very sweet and well mannered with little people.

Perfect to load on lorry or a trailer and will wait patiently on the lorry.
