Helsington Dark Desire aka (Harley) is a very smart 14.1 11 year old British riding pony.

Harley is a stunning pony with a lovable and cheeky personality. He's great fun to hang out with, easy to handle and is definitely a family favourite!

Harley is my first pony and he's taught me an unbelievable amount, taking me from being a complete novice at 11 years old to where I am now at 15 years old starting out on my eventing career. I've out grown him and, as tough as it is (really tough), I love him too much to retire him so young as he really loves his job so I'm actually quite excited to find him the right partner who'll be lucky enough to enjoy learning to ride and having as much fun as we have. Harley has given me heaps of confidence and I believe he will do the same for his next partner. Harley is safe out hacking and great fun, he regularly hacks on his own or big groups not batting an eyelid at either. He is unbothered by tractors, cars ect.

Harley and I have had great fun achieving all our goals at eventing which involves all three disciplines. He has lots of beautiful paces on the flat and excels in dressage regularly scoring 68%-71.5% competent at prelim and novice dressage, we believe at a dressage focused home he'll progress even more, he'll also do a great job at teaching someone the ropes on the flat. Harley confidently jumps 85cm at home with me and my 10 year old cousin who is just starting with jumping and he's doing a great job teaching her, he loves small riders. He's great out on farm rides and XC schooling ect. As his rider gains confidence so does he.

Harley looks super smart! and regularly gets compliments whenever he's out and about mainly due to his excellent breeding record with showing in his bloodline which includes his well known sire 'Helsington Dark Secret' giving him the right attributes to be a very competitive pony in the show ring.

Harley is really good for other riders such as friends and family of all abilities from competent event riders to kids who have never even sat on a horse before. He doesn't mind being led around with little children on him and is super chill like that.

We're really looking for an experienced home with a committed young rider who's maybe 8-10 years old looking to progress and provide a forever home for Harley.

He will load on to both trailers and lorries, he is great for the farrier, vet etc. Not a fan of his face being clipped or worming so needs re assurance for these.

Sadly, we are now ready to move onto horses as we are finished on ponies this year, and now we have to sell our beautiful HKS Salome. She has given is so much joy over the past two years. She brought her rider from 138cm national competitions to being selected on an Irish Team this year. She loves her riders, loves jumping and always will do her best for you in the ring.

She is one of the most straighforward kind genuine ponies on the circuit and I would recommend her to anyone coming off 138's or for anyone who wants to be selected on a team. She will carry any rider around the bigger tracks, and she will drop down to a lower level to wait for you and bring you up the levels confidently. She is very well schooled on the flat, having been produced in a professional yard previously so does all her changes and rides in an outline. She is easy to be trained on, and therefore helps your child become a better rider. She is never sick or sorry, easy to do anything with, clip, load, catch, shoe, travel etc.

Her FEI International career only started this year, there is so much more to come from this amazing pony. Salome is FEI Life Measured.

She requires a healthy budget but is realistically priced as a good home is important to us for this lovely pony.

Skye is the dream pony everyone wishes for. She is well known within our pony club. She has been with us for 2.5 years and can honestly say she has been an absolute pleasure. 100 % looks after her rider and loves her job. Skye is the bravest pony I’ve ever met, she’s genuine, and not at all spooky. Skye hacks alone and in company, confidently in all types of traffic and takes everything in her stride, even in bad weather she is solid. My daughter hacks her out alone and I never have to worry. Flatwork – Skye works beautifully on the flat, with three balanced, expressive paces and always trying her best. She produces accurate tests and is always in the ribbons at dressage including the PC Regional championships at Kelsall Hill again finishing 1st place.

I have had chip for nearly 5 years so I know him inside out. He is a pleasure to do in all ways, on the ground and to be ridden. He has a massive personality and definitely a character on the yard. This is an extremely hard decision as I am going off to university and he would be wasted sitting at home. So I have decided it is time for chip to teach someone new what we have learnt together.

Chip is currently competing at 80cm showjumping unaffiliated and has recently done his first 90 which he flew was clear and came 3rd. He is very careful and neat so he will usually go clear. He is currently schooling out cross country at 80cm. He can sometimes be funny about water but more recently taken to cantering through with no problems. We have worked hard on overcoming his anxieties with xc is ditches. He is a pony that when he gets pressured he will be increasingly reluctant. He responds better to patiently building confidence. However, he is very bold out cross country and absolute loves it. He has done one ODE last year I had planned to do more this year but unfortunately A levels came in the way of that.

We are currently competing at prelim and novice in dressage. He does really like schooling and with the right person could easily excel at novice level. Chip is also a pro at pony club he often attends rallies with me and has gone to 4 pony club camps and this is something he really enjoys. Out hacking chip can go in the font back middle he is very reliable and he's been a nanny to my other baby horse. He has also lived on farms so is very used to farm machinery and dogs. Chip is a very handsome pony wherever we go he always gets compliments.

Having said this he is not a first pony when chip gets excited he can throw in a decent buck it is never to be nasty he only does it if he gets excited to be out. He is also not a push button pony he will make you work to get what you want. He is a very honest pony but sometimes if he feels that you don't want to do something then he won't do it so he needs a confident rider. So for these reasons no novices please.

Unfortunately in September of 2023 chip had a gastric impaction which the vets mistook for colic. They believed he needed surgery but opening him up they found that they were wrong, he has't had the full procedure and he is never actually had colic (happy to discuss the details with full vet report and medical history). However this was 2 years ago and never had any problems since and doesn't affect him in anyway. Apart from this incident he is never sick or sorry.

Chip is up to date with vacs, teeth, physio etc .

He doesn't have vices good to load, clip and with farrier ( he doesn't have shoes on as his feet are hard enough without them) .

He will come with all tack saddle, bridle, rugs etc

An ideal home for chip would be someone who wants to do a bit of everything and have fun with a safe sensible cheeky pony. He would also be a mother daughter dream. Chip is a very sociable boy so he does need friends in his field he cannot live alone. This is an extremely hard decision so please only enquire if you are serious, 5 star home only.

Tecwyn has been a super P/C all round ,Fun pony for a brother and sister and has been in the same home for the past 5yrs.

He’s full of character and has a kind temperament,he’s easy to do in out of the stable good to clip shoe box etc.He’s attended numerous pony club rallies ,Camps,fun and rides and has done xc and sj .

Tecwyns favourite thing is jumping he’s enthusiastic and pulls you into a fence however he’s easy to pull up .

Chief is a very smart homebred (TB x Welsh Sec C) who has been brought on slowly by my now-fourteen year old daughter for the past 2.5 years.

We have had a lot of fun with him but he is hopelessly outgrown and he is now looking for someone to continue his education particularly on the flat which is not our forte/interest.

Completed numerous rallies and Camps doing all the usual Pony Club activities including gymkhana, bare back jumping and general kid-desensitising! Won and been placed at 70-80cm huntertrials and showjumping. And ODE. Ready to progress up the heights (with a smaller - but still competent-jockey!) Hunted weekly last season where he proved fun but forward.

Good to catch, shoe, load and in traffic. Clipped once (for the first time) last winter, just needed a bit of dope for his head but I think he will get used to that fairly quickly.

Hacks alone or in company. Very happy to lead another horse or be led. Very good at gates (won his last huntertrial by 10 seconds with a gate in the timed section - see video!)
