Cornafest Hilda (Lilly) is an absolutely stunning BE 100/90 event pony / all rounder by the legendary Gwennic de Goariva.
8 year old reg. Connemara grey mare NN/HWSD
Snaffle mouth in all three phases being the most straightforward, safe ride. She moves beautifully and her dressage marks are improving all the time. Judges often comment she is a lovely pony with more marks to come. She is an exceptional jumper with many top 10 places at 100 and 90 including 3rd at Alnwick 100u18 and 7th at Speetley 100u18 this season jumping fabulous double clears. Cross county machine, always looking for the flags. She has a faultless BE XC jumping record and easily makes the time.
She is also an exceptional hunting pony, she absolutely loves it and has crossed some of the best Middleton country. Stands like a rock at the meet, is mannerly, jumps anything and always looks after her rider. She has paraded hounds at County shows, jumped and won inter hunt relays, attended Boxing Day meets and never moved a muscle in a heaving town square. We have done a bit of everything with her as she is so versatile, including unaffiliated showing and all PC activities. She has jumped in PC SJ team at Bramham horse trials twice.
We bought her as a beautifully started 5 year old and she has never put a foot wrong. She has been competed slowly and carefully with her future in mind. She has been meticulously looked after in every way and has never been over jumped or rushed. Our daughter is now 16 and moving onto horses having gained so much experience and enjoyment in bringing a young pony up the levels herself. She is completely easy enough to step down for a keen, capable little jockey.
We have been told by many people that she has all the attributes, quality and scope to be a top class HOYS plaited WHP and should measure in at 143cm. We have just concentrated on eventing though.
Gwennic ponies are renowned not just for their incredible ability, but also for their amazing temperament, and Lilly has just that. She is the sweetest, safest, most level headed pony you could ever meet with no vices whatsoever. She adores people and is the easiest pony to do anything with. She always tries her heart out and is as straight as they come. She is bombproof in any traffic, hacks alone, lives alone. Perfect to do in every way and she has brought our family so much enjoyment and fun. People are her main interest. As long as she has a dedicated, loving family she is happy.
She really is one in a million, ponies as good as this in every single way are hard to find. It is the most heartbreaking sale and the perfect, loving family home is our priority for this very special pony.
