Toby, although only 12, has done it all.

He went from starting BE 90, with a child debutante, he went up to intermediate tracks in under 2 years.

Not suprisingly, things went wrong. I took him on as a potential teamchaser, but soon realised what a class horse he was.

3 years on he has been competing UA showjumping and eventing and giving a totally inexperienced child the time of her life. He was champion 90 showjumping in the Oakingham winter league and was 2nd in open 90 eventing recently scoring a 27 in the dressage.

He has done 2 BE events and been placed in both, now that he does a sensible, reliable test. Last weekend he qualified for the PC regional and the Horse Events final with another child rider.

Chilled out and relaxed through the drop in grade, he is now super confident and has discovered the art of flatwork. He is now ready to take an educated junior (coming off ponies?) to enjoy the transition to small but powerful horse.

He will take you to a fence so he is NOT suitable for a child coming off a kickalong native pony.

He might suit a competitive child coming off a competitive BS pony.

Doug is a jumping machine ! He loves his show jumping and has recently won at discovery and newcomers level as well as jumping well in his first 1.15 members cup. He has plenty of ability and will not run out of scope! He is easy to ride to a fence and very forgiving on strides. He’s good fun in a jump off and turns like a pony!
He has successfully evented to 100 level both BE and Unaffiliated. Recently placing 3rd this year. He has plenty of ability to go up the levels in eventing and would be suitable for a competent junior aiming for teams in the future or equally he’s good enough to aim for badminton grassroots.
He has also hunted both in the field and whipped in as well as attended fun rides.
He is a super fun horse with so much talent and character but he is not for a novice. He’s switched on and wants to do a job. He can have the odd spook or little nap if he thinks he can but this isn’t nasty and a competent rider can just give him a kick and he goes no problem !

The stallion Furst Bismark (picture 3) is renowned for passing on unbelievable natural scope and kind tempers, her dam was not lacking in either of these departments so this filly has a double helping
