A seriously genuine, kind and competitive horse who would make an exceptional amateur’s partner.
Vinnie is a very special horse and a type that is becoming increasingly difficult to find. Standing at approximately 16.3hh, this handsome 8-year-old roan gelding is a lovely old-fashioned stamp — a good sort with a leg in each corner, plenty of bone and substance, and the sort of honest, straightforward attitude that makes him a pleasure to own and ride.
His roan coat changes colour with the seasons, making him rather unique, but it is his temperament and attitude that really make him stand out.
COMPETITION RECORD
Vinnie is currently Grade C, with £1,292 BS winnings and 778 points, and is soon to be Grade B.
He is currently winning at 1.20m level and will shortly step up to 1.30m.
His recent form speaks for itself:
13 starts - 5 wins - 3 second places
He is therefore not only genuine and easy, but also extremely competitive and consistent in the ring.
Vinnie is a horse who wants to do his job and tries hard for his rider. He is established and experienced enough to give his rider confidence, whilst still having plenty of scope and potential to progress.
IDEAL AMATEUR HORSE
This is where Vinnie really stands out.
He is kind, uncomplicated and incredibly genuine, and is the sort of horse that makes you look forward to getting on and going to a show.
He is ridden in a snaffle bridle at all times and is a yard favourite. In fact, when it comes to hacking, Vinnie is everyone’s first choice.
He is easy to take out, sensible and enjoyable, making him a lovely horse for someone wanting a competitive showjumper without giving up the pleasure of having a horse they can simply enjoy every day.
He would be particularly suited to an amateur wanting to progress through the grades, but equally has the ability and record to be competitive with a professional rider.
VERSATILE & TALENTED
Vinnie has also been cross-country schooling, where he proved bold, willing and straightforward, thoroughly enjoying himself.
He has lovely flatwork with established flying changes, and with his attitude and ability he could also make an exciting eventing prospect for someone looking to branch out into another discipline.
PEDIGREE
Vinnie is very well bred, being by the highly regarded Caretino Glory, out of a Calvaro Z mare.
His pedigree is littered with 1.60m performance horses, giving him the breeding to match his own ability and competition record.
THE IMPORTANT BIT…
Horses like Vinnie are becoming increasingly hard to find.
He is genuine, kind, uncomplicated, competitive and consistent, with the ability to progress further whilst remaining a horse that you can enjoy and have confidence in.
This is a very genuine sale of a much-loved horse and partner, and we are looking for a long-term, knowledgeable and loving home where he will be appreciated as much as he is here.
Excellent facilities, including a large indoor arena, at Julian Mincher Equestrian on the London/Essex border, making him very conveniently located and easy to try.
