Winterfold has excellent breeding. He was bred in Ireland by Bryan McKenna in 2019. Genetic sire, Fado Fado, Grandsire Star Kingdom, Genetic Dam Lady Tazma, Grandsire Ghareeb. He has brothers who are successful eventers and he is the younger brother of BE horse Future Kingdom who is best known for completing Blair Castle in 2023. Winterfold was sold to his first home at the age of 2 years old where he was started slowly with kindness, love and trained with patience by a skilled equestrian family of vets, judges and producers of HOYS horses. During his time with his first owners he spent his time mainly hacking out for miles in Ireland and from the age of 4 years old he started jumping 80cm courses and entered some lightweight hunter classes and placed in the top three. During his time with us he has taken on the task of partnering with a young rider straight off of ponies and has been patient and safe and sensible throughout, bringing her on to be a confident and more skilled rider.

Winterfold is best suited to a strong, confident, experienced and skilled Adult rider who wants to produce a winning event horse but who is also wanting a fun, kind, easygoing, affectionate pet. He had the best start and has since with us, been professionally schooled and is brave and keen to learn.

At the yard he is a firm favourite with both humans and horses. He is happy to be kept in or go out. He is good to catch, load, travel, bath, clip. Good with farrier (Fronts shod), with vet and vaccines (Up to date and 5 stage vetting passed August 2025), with dentist (up to date), with saddle fitter (6 monthly and just done) No vices, no medical issues. ridden in a snaffle usually but a universal has been used with the young rider only for showjumping as he is a powerful young horse. Hacks alone and in company. Excellent stable manners and also in hand. Used to farm machinery and a busy environment. He has a great jump with lots of scope having jumped over an metre during his time with us and is nice and flashy in 3 correct paces. We have taken him out to arena hires, and events and he is calm and easy going throughout and always catches the judges eye, he’s a very handsome chap with a very sweet and charming character.

Super smart, started competitive career as a top class show horse, claiming numerous prestigious titles including winning at Balmoral, champion and overall Supreme Champion. He has 3 big flashy paces, and totally clean limbs and loads of quality.

Last season he has continued to show his exceptional talent in the show ring by winning/ champion/ qualifying each time out - RH, LW hunter, WH, WSH and Sports Horse classes and has qualified for the royal international hickstead on his first attempt. Huge flashy movement with the real look at me. He undoubtedly has some big championship wins in him at the likes of HOYS LIHS and RI. Is amateur and home produced class eligible.

He has been professionally backed and educated but is ridden by all sorts of riders including children. He has never been rushed and has done abit of literally everything and anything .

He has such a steady head on him he is never sharp and is really anyone’s ride but with potential to go up the levels if needed. He has done abit of hunting with me and working hunter/ cross country training and is currently out competing with my dressage mad friend winning BD at his first outing.

She takes him to weekly lessons and clinics by herself she is more on the nervous side and loves to borrow jack! He is unfortunately not the right horse for me as I like to go alot faster round a course. He is very easy to ride not lazy, in a snaffle very comfortable canter ! He’s brilliant in traffic and hacks out on a busy road by himself or in the company of other horses he is great to school on open fields and doesn’t get fizzy.

He would make a nice county show hunter when he fills out and is eligible for Irish draught classes as he’s full draught. He has lovely manners in and out the stable good to load and travel he’s got good bare feet. He doesn’t have vices he’s the most easy going boy (gets bullied by a Shetland in the field) open to vet!

Always very sound no health issues ever. does have very very small sarcoid / 3 juvinile warts underneath by his sheath. area that we treat with a natural cream. Not a mark on him clean limb straight. He has a good honest jump and pops over everything crosss county and fine with all fillers. Is hacked out by an 11 year old girl .

The wonderful Zoey! A mare that I have become super fond of in the time she has been with me!

Zoey is a 10yo beautifully bred quality and substantial ID mare. She is 10yo, however she has spent 4 years as a brood mare, so has low mileage for her age!

In Ireland she has had a predominantly happy hacking career, being ridden by novices & hunting, being an allround family horse, along side breeding foals!

Since I have had her, I have hunted her with the Fernie, she proved sensible & very straight forward! She stood at the meet, and was polite and level headed cantering in the field.

Zoey is working well In the school. She is a lovely active forward ride, with a fabulous step in the trot! She is green for her age in the school- but her schooling basics are all in place to further her education and strengthening! She has a lovely big show horse canter, and is light in the mouth and wants to naturally go on the bridle- which she has picked up incredibly quickly! Zoey is a super intelligent mare, she loves to work in the school and learn new things. She fills the eye in a dressage arena and is a super attractive horse. I think she would make a very smart dressage horse!

To jump Zoey has taken everything in her stride and proven to be bold over fillers. She really wants to be careful over a pole and gives the rider a lovely feel over a fence. Zoey thoroughly enjoys her jumping!
She has been cross country schooling and has proven to be bold, scopey and careful, she is straight and genuine with ditches and water.

Zoey has hacked in company and alone- she has been hacked on the roads and in the fields. She is a forward going marching on kind of girl, so not for someone who is looking for a slob!

Tansyfield Darcy has been slowly and carefully produced since we bought him as an unbroken 3yo , this guy has turned his hoof to every discipline. Darcy absolutely loves going to shows , a real happy horse that does everything with a smile on his face !

Show jumping - Darcy has competed up to 1m 10 , picking up a few SJI points in limited outings . He is training round 1m 20 courses at home , goes off any stride and no spooky fillers phase him . A really fun forward ride !

Eventing - Darcy has competed lightly in age classes , winning a 4yo event class and winning a 1m event at flower hill last year . He is very well schooled on the flat , so produces an accurate dressage test. Super brave cross country , he loves to fly off a drop and jump a ditch ! He is a super competitive amateur event horse . Although he is 3/4 draught he is very blood to ride and has a huge amount of stamina. He really loves to work !

Hunting - we have recently started taking Darcy hunting with the roscommons which he has took too very well . He ques and waits patiently and very brave to a fence, a real pleasant mannerly ride .

Showing - Darcy has been placed multiple times in working hunter and lightweight hunter classes . We showed him as a lightweight as a 4yo where he came 2nd in tattersalls and was placed in a few county shows . He competed at NIF as a 5yo placing 3rd both days and then went on to balmoral where he handled the atmosphere and crowds amazingly well. He jumped an incredibly spooky and tough course for such a young horse with just 1 green pole . He is such a flashy good looking horse that turns heads wherever he goes !

Darcy is very friendly and well handled , good to clip , catch , load , shoe , box . He has the character of a giant pet dog and like part of the family ! He is a big forward going horse so please no nervous novices . A lot of love and time has gone into this horse and will only be sold to the best of homes !
