With a lineage that combines athleticism, versatility, and elegance, this striking chestnut gelding represents an exciting opportunity to excel in a variety of disciplines.
His sire, Lansdowne is a winning 1.60m stallion with many top placings in Grand Prix/CSI 5* classes. He was ranked 8th in the FEI SJ World Rankings in 2013, and had wins in the CSI 5* Nations Cup at 1:60m in 2013 and 2014.
His dam sire Dauntless Prince VII competed successfully at 1.40m, and is out of Demonstrator, ranked number 1 Dressage Sire on the British Horse Database rankings for 2000, 2001, 2002, competed both nationally and internationally at Grand Prix and was short listed for the 1996 Olympic Dressage Team. His grand dam was out of the TB Guest Right (Be My Guest / Northern Dancer).
He was started under saddle in November 2024 proving to have a good trainable attitude and showing some nice paces, then turned away for the winter. He was due to be started again at home in the Spring, however owner/rider injury has prevented this, and the tough decision has been taken to sell him on.
He is now ready to begin the next stages of his training, offering a blank canvas for a professional trainer or an experienced amateur.
He is easy to catch, loads and travels well and is up to date with teeth and vaccines. He stands well for the farrier but has only been trimmed and hasn't had shoes on so far.
He is homebred, so we have had him since he was born, and know his full history. He has lived out in a mixed herd with no issues for most of his life.
He is currently living out with my retired TB gelding, keeping him active and will need to be brought back into work again.
He has not been ridden since last November, and has been living out all spring and summer with very little work done, except for light grooming and trims by the farrier, due to owner injury, so please don't come to view him expecting to jump on him for a trial ride.
To get the photos and videos for this advert, he has been introduced to poles and jumps for the first time ever, and has taken it all in his stride. He is a quick learner and has never been spooky, enjoying these new challenges.
