Under saddle, Bertie previously evented at Novice level so is well schooled and experienced. He is a forward-going ride who loves variety but is looking to step down into a lower level competition/riding club role.

Not suitable for a novice – Bertie is strong and knows his job, so he needs a confident and experienced rider (currently ridden by an experienced teenager).

Hacks alone or in company, no vices, travels brilliantly and good for vet, farrier etc
Has stringhalt, but this does not affect his ridden work.

Must go to a 5* home only where he’ll be loved and appreciated.

I've owned Barney for 2 years, I brought him as an unbroken 4 year old.

In that time I have broken him in, and he's been to lots of arena hires and trainings.

He hunted last season four times and was foot perfect every time. Stood at the meet, would go in front or behind, great with the hounds, jumped timber and ditches. He was hunted by a man and a lady in a snaffle on all occasions. Everybody commented on how nice he was, Barney I think is a huntsmans horse in the making.

He is out competing showjumping at 90cm, has trained at home over 110cm, he jumps fillers and water trays.

He's been cross country schooling twice jumping up to 1metre.

He's been to dressage competitions at prelim level scoring 70%.

He's very good in traffic.

Good to handle, clip, load (lorry and trailer), catch etc.

He passed a vetting when I brought him and is open to a vetting and X-rays.

I'm very fond of this horse and only for sale due to personal circumstances, so that right home is very important to me.

Eddie is an amazing 14yo gelding, who has brought me on from barely jumping round British Novice well to jumping 1.10/15 with confidence.

He loves jumping more than anything and will not hesitate at any fence. He is also very forgiving when you have a miss to a fence.

I’ve taken him XC as well, and he absolutely loves it, .would even be good to take to an arena XC/unaffiliated ODE.

Eddie is never strong and not quirky, with no vices at all. Perfectly good to load on the lorry, hack alone and with other horses, good to clip/groom etc.

I would say that he’s suitable for a novice looking to gain experience in British Novice/Discovery/ Newcomers.

I really can’t fault this horse. He has taught me so much in three years and whoever owns him next will learn so much from him.
