Homebred rising 4 year old, by Billy Congo from our ISH mare by Ringfort Cruise. Foaled at home, handled from day 1.

Up to date with feet, worming, teeth. Only for sale as she just isn't going to be big enough for me as I'm nearly 6'2", I've kept hold of her for this long in the hopes she'd just be slightly bigger by now, currently stands 16hh.

Handled daily, knows basic ground work and has done little bits on the halter throughout her 3 and 1/2 years of life. She is Unbacked and ready to start.

She has lovely, light, expressive movement and is very capable over a fence. Having only been loose jumped very lightly, she has shown brilliant technique, very tidy in front and careful behind, making her a promising prospect going forward.

We have owned her dam since she was 3 (now 12), lightly competed before having Cici, very pretty and hugely scopey and natural over fences. Her sire is the infamous Billy Congo, who needs little introduction. Heartbreaking decision but I’ve come to the conclusion that I don’t have the time, money or will to do this lovely boy justice. Having retired my old gelding a couple of years ago I naively thought I’d still be up for bringing Roo on but in reality I’m far too out of the loop.

3 year old homebred buckskin warmblood gelding. By Crowns Ace of Pearl out of Primitive Proposal (Primitive Rising) mare. Standing at about 16.3hh with more growing to do - Beautiful paces, incredibly floaty and uphill. A very promising young horse.

Good to catch, clip, load & travel - okay for farrier although still baby like! Good to bath/ wash legs off. Has been regularly handled, attended a handful of in-hand shows as a yearling and was incredibly chilled.

Pretty unflappable, has seen plenty of machinery at home - I harrow with him in the field. Has walked out in hand and seen lots of traffic, completely unphased.

Even when excited leading in/ out, with other horses tearing around I manage fine. Pretty respectful of your space, understands the concept of ‘back’ and turn on the forehand.

Has had a bridle & roller on, also completely unbothered. Massage pad on a number of times. I don’t think he’ll be a challenge in this department at all.

His only quirk is that he can be bad tempered around food.

Valli is halter broken and has been extremely well handled, he ties up, will load in a trailer, picks all 4 feet up politely and has undergone our initial training in-hand which consists of some lateral steps and rein-backs on cue + early relaxation work/desensitisation work. He has had trims from the farrier and has been bathed and was great to do for both.

He is exceptionally brave and will pop over ground poles for fun. He is friendly and turns out with a mixed herd and will slot into any routine. He has lived out & been stabled overnight with us and is proving very versatile and adaptable.

This utterly charming boy convinces with gorgeous looks, fantastic athletic movement and above all an enviable jumping pedigree of exceptional provenance. We have loose jumped him lightly and he proved to have natural talent, he was super bold with great technique.

His mother Mousti van Overis Z spent her younger years competing nationally, before becoming a highly successful full-time broodmare. Her 6yo son Pitchwood Caesars Palace is a licensed stallion with the Sports Pony Studbook Society (SPSS) and is currently competing successful at Pony Foxhunter level. But the provenance from this exceptional mother does not end there. Mousti van Overis is a half sister of Vincent Byrne's great 1.60m horse Hannibal van Overis. Sire : Westpoint Quickfire has been a prolific producer of type and power. He bring the important blood of the great Quickstar, sire of none other than Big Star, of course. Quickfire has produced many medal winning horses and ponies. He passes on elasticity, trainable temperaments and scope.

Training & Temperament:

He’s been well-handled since birth, easy to catch (usually trots over to greet you), respectful of electric fencing, and good to box, travel, and for the farrier. He’s happy alone or in company and is up to date with vaccinations. As a yearling, he attended local in-hand shows and behaved impeccably. He also has experience being led in-hand through village traffic, showing calmness and curiosity.
