Avoca Apollo - Apollo is 7 Year old grey gelding by SHS Soco Blue out of Puissance mare who has an impressive dam line having produced a 1.60m jumper several 1.40m jumpers and two 4* eventers.

He is a homebred that has been carefully produced and has recently stepped up to 1.30. He is brave and forward thinking but very carful and fun to ride.

This lovely 7-year-old Bay Irish Sports Horse gelding stands at 16.2hh having the grandsire being Carrick diamond lad.

He’s a true schoolmaster who has turned his hoof to everything and is easy, genuine, and straightforward in every way. He has hunted, pony clubbed, evented, show jumped and done dressage being versatile and competitive at everything he has done a real hard type to find

He has three balanced, established paces and is well-schooled on the flat. He has competed in unaffiliated eventing and showjumping, and is extremely honest and safe to a fence – he never says no. He's fantastic cross-country: bold, brave, and careful. This horse has never said no and gives a confident, secure feel both in the arena and out on course.

He is a great hunter jumping the boldest of fences while still carful enough to jump in trappy country. He gives you a nice day without pulling your arms out but with enough engine to jump whatever you wish.

He hacks out alone or in company and is very good in traffic, his happy to lead or go behind. With lovely conformation, good feet, and a calm, kind nature, he is a pleasure to have on the yard. He is completely viceless and is safe and sensible enough for amateurs or teenagers coming off ponies, while also being enjoyable for more experienced riders.

Easy to catch, shoe, clip, load, and travel, he has excellent manners both on the ground and under saddle. Horses like this are hard to find – he’s the complete package with talent, temperament, and reliability.

Around the stable yard he is a pleasure he loves having a brush and a wash he always comes to you to catch and is easy to lead, he is always good to load and stands on a box or trailer.

Attractive stamp of a horse. Has mainly hunted, with the Wynnstay and South Shropshire, and done a bit of team chasing previously but I could see flying up the levels eventing this season. Previously in an amateur home. Settled into our routine and system very easily, a nice horse to handle and have around. Competed in the Tweseldown training event with a sweet test and double clear in the 100, also double clear in his first BE100.

Good off the leg with three nice and correct paces, flashy paces and will continue to really move well once he gets stronger. For a bigger horse he’s very light and even in the contact. Polite and easy to a fence and just goes in an eggbutt, so far showing good scope and carefulness. Recently been to Chard BS, jumping courses of 1.10m at home with ease. Very easy to handle, and do at the lorry and warm up. Jumps hedges, gates and been xc schooling.

Enjoys his work and would be ideal for an individual or family who wants to do a bit of hunting in the winter but have a horse who is quality enough to do some eventing in the summer
