  • Lead rein or First ridden

Iris has been a wonderful pony we owe her so much she is a dearly loved pony, we’ve owned and enjoyed her for 5 fantastic years!!

She will happily lead rein or equally happy as a first ridden.

I bought Iris when my daughter was 5, she’s taught my daughter all the basics to ride. She’s been passed on to my sons who love her equally as much and she has been so good for them to learn on.

She’ll stand while they jump on and off her, stand on her, ride her backwards.

Iris is more of a kick than go she has great paces for a child to learn on as she’s not too bouncy, she’s very easy for children to learn the different gaits.

She’s done all pony club events, attending camp, rallies, x country rides, fun rides. She’s always impeccably behaved standing patiently for hours on end.

The children can do all her care with her, grooming, mucking out leading her in and out of the stable.

She’s great to hack, down tracks in open fields, bare back, bridleless!!!

Now outgrown, I’ve put it off as long as I can but now is the time for her to teach another child the ropes. Very sad sale.

Five star home essential.

Please call anytime for more information.
Mobile no. 07929797052

She’s available without tack £3,750 or £4500 with bridle/saddle/rugs.

  • Beautiful 13.2 pony
  • Super jumper
  • Great paces

Mr G is a really smart 13.2h pony with very lovely paces. He was bought for my 8 year old son at the beginning of the year but has proved to be too much ‘pony’ and we’re looking to step down to something more docile for him.

He is the ideal pony for a confident young rider to have lots of fun on. He never does anything nasty, but puts in the occasional small buck if he tbh if he can get away with it which is too much for my nervous son. He doesn’t do this with more confident riders, and never runs off or is strong, and is charming in every other way.

* 13.2, 18yrs Welsh gelding
* Brilliant hacking either alone or in company, great in wide open spaces. Happily leads or follows the horse in front. Never spooky.
* Excellent showjumping and XC - jumps everything! Mr G needs no encouragement, he takes the rider to the fence but doesn’t run at them, and isn’t fast or silly. Has done 60-70cm with my son, but much more with previous owners.
* Has done lots of pony club rallies, weekly after school lessons as part of a school club, and junior camp this year.
* Great in traffic and around all farm machinery.
* Extremely good natured and very unflapable. Adores being fussed over, lovely to have around the yard.
* Lives out 24/7 with us, but has been stabled before.
* Shod in front.
* Very good to shoe, vet, and up to date with jabs etc.
* Loads well into a trailer or horse box.
* A really lovely, honest little pony who will give the right rider enormous amounts of fun.
* Passed a vetting in January this year
* Based in Oxfordshire, OX29
* £5k incl tack & rugs
* Pls call Ginny on 07515809996

  • Loves to work - has competed in many disciplines
  • Fabulous to hack
  • Bold and brave over a fence - untapped potential in WHP
Giddy is a pony who loves to work, he is never happier than when he is busy and active, and sadly a change in family circumstances means I no longer have the time to give him the work and the outings he requires. I have owned Giddy since a 2yo, and this is an extremely sad sale

He has turned his hoof to many disciplines including show jumping, WHP, XC, beach and fun rides and dressage, riding club, pole clinics etc. I feel he has untapped potential in WHP classes as he is bold and brave over a fence. He has only jumped at unaff/training stakes level with us as we are not jumping people, so is still eligible for novice WHP classes.

He is fabulous to hack both alone and in company, not fazed by anything, and is frequently used as a nanny to the younger ponies. Forward going in the school

He has been lightly shown over the years but has notched up some good wins at Fell pony breed shows, including being ridden champion and reserve supreme as a novice at the Dorset Fell show, Ridden reserve champion and reserve supreme at the Dunster Fell Show, and the following year (2023) ridden champion and overall supreme. He has also had some good wins at NPS area and agricultural shows in open and junior classes

He has only had a couple of outings the last two years through no fault of his own. He has a zest for life, loves to work and with that can come some over exuberence if he is not worked for a while, so therefore he needs a competent and confident rider to bring out the best in him, which I think is yet to come.

He will not be suitable for novices, beginners or small children. A home with previous experience of owning and riding native ponies would be
preferable. The right home is of utmost importance, and he is priced extremely reasonably so that home can be found

  • UPDATE: Double Clear at Bicton Regional Showjumping Championships
  • Hunted and done all PC activities with competent teenage girl
  • Suit confident teen/adult/mum looking to produce competitive child’s pony

Chief is a very smart homebred (TB x Welsh Sec C) who has been brought on slowly by my now-fourteen year old daughter for the past 2.5 years.

We have had a lot of fun with him but he is hopelessly outgrown and he is now looking for someone to continue his education particularly on the flat which is not our forte/interest.

Completed numerous rallies and Camps doing all the usual Pony Club activities including gymkhana, bare back jumping and general kid-desensitising! Won and been placed at 70-80cm huntertrials and showjumping. And ODE. Ready to progress up the heights (with a smaller - but still competent-jockey!) Hunted weekly last season where he proved fun but forward.

Good to catch, shoe, load and in traffic. Clipped once (for the first time) last winter, just needed a bit of dope for his head but I think he will get used to that fairly quickly.

Hacks alone or in company. Very happy to lead another horse or be led. Very good at gates (won his last huntertrial by 10 seconds with a gate in the timed section - see video!)

Open to any vet. Genuine Sale by Pony Club DC!

Lovely home sought for this exceedingly well-loved pony. Never nasty but would suit a confident teenager or small adult wanting to produce a competitive pony.

Meet Cookie – a beautifully marked 14.2hh piebald gelding, 5 years old and packed with personality. This eye-catching cob has both the looks and the nature to make someone an absolutely brilliant best friend and partner. He’s a lovely type, with a lovely natural balance, calm brain, and a fantastic can-do attitude.

Cookie has been slowly and correctly produced, and he’s proving to be a really smart, willing pony with a very sweet nature. He’s ideal for someone looking for a pony that’s safe, sane and full of potential – whether you want to enjoy long hacks, have fun at Pony Club, or eventually do a bit of everything.

He’s a real favourite on the yard – easy to have around, always polite to handle, and very affectionate without being in your pocket. He loves human company, stands like a rock to be groomed, and is happy to load, travel, and settle in new places.

Under saddle, Cookie rides in a snaffle and goes in a lovely rhythm. He’s responsive without being sharp, happy in open spaces, and not the spooky or silly type. He has a lovely work ethic and is proving willing over poles and small fences – honest, genuine, and improving every week. Cookie has started basic schooling over cross-country fences and has shown he’s brave and steady, taking everything in stride.

He hacks out alone or in company, is good with farm machinery and traffic, and has seen a wide variety of sights and sounds. He’s got the kind of temperament that makes him enjoyable and safe to ride, suitable for a riding school.

Cookie would suit a capable teen, small adult, or even a novice – he’s that kind and sensible. With his solid foundation and steady progress, he’s ready to continue his journey with someone who wants to enjoy a well-mannered, friendly, and versatile cob.

Cookie is open to vetting, has no stable vices, and is up to date with everything. Delivery across the UK available, and we offer an exchange option if needed – but we think once you meet him, you won’t want to let him go.

DO YOU HAVE A HORSE OR PONY SUITABLE FOR THE RDA?

WANTED ON LONG TERM LOAN / PURCHASE

Ref #: 249896
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below
  • If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below

One of the main issues that RDA groups face is finding an Equine to suit the needs of the participants in their group.

We are regularly contacted with offers of Equines that are ‘the ideal RDA horse or pony’ when actually what is ideal for one group may not be for the next. We are trying to move away from the stereotypical view that RDA Equines are elderly and somewhat static, our horses and ponies need to be fit, healthy and athletic to cope with the lifestyle in an RDA group.

They can range from smaller, forward going ponies to weight carrying cobs and can take part in a range of disciplines from Riding to Carriage Driving, Vaulting to Show Jumping and Endurance.

If you contact an RDA Group about your Equine please be prepared to fill in an Equine Initial Interest Form which will ask you many questions about your horses’ temperament, health history, experience and lifestyle. Many groups will prefer to have an equine on trial to make sure they are suitable for the job.

For long term loans and purchases they will also be required to have a Pre-Purchase Examination.

If you think your equine has what it takes, please contact one of the groups below.
