Romeo is a fantastic first horse, he’s a leg in each corner, overgrown pony. He may be of an age but he is still very keen to continue and enjoys his work as much as ever. Previously competed upto 1m but more suited to 70/80cms now, he will teach anybody the ropes around a dressage test and finds his own stride around the jumping being very careful he’s a little clear round horse and loves the technicality of the arena eventing courses and wouldn’t run away xc

He will make someone very happy for pony club/ riding club or equally to just play at home and do clinics ect.

Quirks-
Romeo isn’t a fan of hacking past large vehicles so not ideal for a novice in this area although is perfect in open spaces so someone with off road hacking will have a great time with him
Romeo has always traveled in a lorry so on the one occasion of tavelling in a trailer he wasn’t great but could travel with no partition.
He has always run through the stable door he’s just not a fan of narrow spaces hence his 3 little quirks but beside that he’s a brilliant best friend to anyone wanting a horse with lots of experience

I can’t say one negative thing about this super star mare - she is just fantastic. I have been very half hearted in selling her as she is just so easy to have around, she is the nanny to everything and everyone, she has been ridden by 7 yr olds to 70 yr olds (that haven't ridden in 10 years). But she is also a little super star in the ring and will go on to be a fantastic Badminton Grassroots horse and easily has the scope for Novice. She would also make a really good Intermediate worker.

She is very straight forward at a show and isn’t phased by the razzmatazz of a big show (pipe bands no problem!) She is really brave but sensible, she is one of the most naturally good xc horses we have ever had in, has definitely been here before! Jumps everything for fun. She will do a very solid Dressage test as has a great rhythm and attitude.

Being sold out of work!

I brought Essie out of the field in 2024 as a little project for myself to bring on to jump in the ring following the retirement of one of my other horses.

She has incredible scope and is well schooled on the flat has auto changes etc, after building some condition and getting going with her she’s a cool little horse and would make a teenager or small adult a great little jumper!

She’s not the easiest of ride, she needs a calm and patient rider that will give her confidence. I have taken her out (very limited) arena hires and a training show. She loads and behaves on lorry and is easy to do whilst she’s out and about, but she definitely needs to build some confidence in this area.

Due to starting a new business I am seriously lacking the time she deserves and have only ridden her a handful of times since march! I’ve grabbed her out the field tacked up and got on, checked she still has her schooling and put her back there and she has behaved every time.

She has hacked round fields in company and alone. She’s forward and tends to lead however when alone she does need reminding to keep going forward, and would nap in the wrong hands.
I can’t comment on how she is in traffic as I’ve never tried!
