As I head into my final year at university, it's time to find my gorgeous 16.2hh, 18y/o mare, Courage, a knowledgeable loan home.
I'm looking for someone interested in hacking, flatwork, and the occasional bit of show jumping. While her flat work can be lovely, please do consider that she takes a competent rider to get the best out of her.
I’ve owned Courage since I was 16, and over the past six years, she’s brought me so much joy, helping me move up the levels in show jumping.
Now that she's a bit older and I'm busy with university, it's the perfect time to step her down a level and find her a loving new home where she can enjoy a slightly steadier pace - and be as adored as she deserves.
Courage truly is the best in every way. She’s been there and done it all, so nothing phases her. She hacks beautifully alone or in company, has no vices, and is excellent to shoe, box, and clip.
She’s also relaxed around pets and a real pleasure to have on the yard.
She is fit, in regular work, and ready to go now - i’m currently riding her five times a week and occasionally popping her over small courses. She's one in a million, and as such, will only go to the very best home where she’ll be treated like the princess she is. That said, due to her competitive background, she’s not necessarily suitable for beginners - we’re looking for a confident rider who can appreciate her experience.
We're based near Oxford. Please feel free to get in touch for more information, photos, and videos of this very special mare.
While we're ideally seeking a long-term loan home, we may consider a sale for the right situation.
NB - Photo of her jumping is from the a couple of years ago, she is no longer jumping at this level.
Please no time wasters/joy riders! Thank you.
