This very smart boy has good paces and a very honest, scopey jump.
He has recently started his BE and BD careers successfully. He came 2nd in his first BE90 at Alnwick Ford with a 30 dressage and a foot perfect double clear, gaining a grassroutes areas qualification. He has also recently qualified for the BD area festivals in February. In his recent outing BD he came 2nd in a very competitive section. He has lots of potential and is a getting lovely comments from the judges.
Jumping wise, Gerry is extremely honest, he doesn’t look at anything and shows plenty of scope. He will easily step up to 100 next season and I’m fairly certain he would go up to novice with some more mileage.

Gerry hacks alone and in company, he’s very level headed and doesn’t need riding every day. He is a lovely boy to have on the yard, he is very straightforward. Easy to catch, box, shoe, clip.

Gerry is quite low mileage for his age, due to his owners ill health, but would suit many riders and is a serious potential grassroutes horse.

Lupus is a 10yo Ex racehorse, he retires from racing sound just his heart isn't in it anymore. Straight out of training so still fairly fit but yard has 4&5* event riders so he schools well and jumps poles confidently.

He is good to do in all respects and hack out alone or in company, good to box shoe clip. He is VERY tall but a real friendly giant and only the best long term home will be considered for him.

Jedi is a pleasure to have on the yard. He’s good to do (clip, shoe, catch, load etc). Jed has hacked alone and in company.

Moves well with good flatwork. Jed has plenty of jump and has jumped BS clears to 1.10m (Pauldarys Jedi). He has been with a young girl the past few years and then out on loan so hasn’t jumped up the heights but he is getting back into it quickly and still has plenty of jump in there so we see no reason why he won’t jump back up the levels again with the right rider. He is a forward going sort but not nasty or silly just likes to get on with his job.

Not suitable for a novice but would be great for a competent amateur looking for a super fun horse. Only looking for his new home as owner is in uni and doesn’t have the time for a horse at present.

As Good as Goldie

Goldie is being sold on behalf of a very close friend who has sadly passed away. This is an incredibly difficult sale for everyone involved, but one we are making with care and responsibility. Goldie deserves to be doing a job and enjoying life, and it would not be right for her to be left standing in a field through the hunting season. She is fit, sound, and ready to go and finish the season.

Goldie is a 17hh chestnut mare, six years old, priced at £9,500. She is a quality hunter and all-rounder with a genuine outlook.

Despite her size, Goldie is a lovely, mannerly ride. She is kind and straightforward, with a soft, pleasant mouth and is very rideable. She is a more laid-back type who you need to push on, rather than one that you have to hold onto all day. She is not sharp or strong and gives a very confidence-giving feel.

She has been hunted regularly this season with the Barlow, High Peak and South Notts, and references can be provided. I last hunted her on Boxing Day, where I was looking after children and nannying the ponies, and

Goldie was quite literally as good as gold all day.

She has been ridden by myself, my mum, and a petite young rider. She is rhythmic, balanced and straightforward into a fence, and I have jumped some big spots on her. She also attended The Great Yorkshire Show to compete in the flat hunter classes, where she behaved impeccably throughout.

Goldie has had an excellent foundation and is ready for someone to continue producing her. She is still young and a slightly more sensitive mare on the ground at home and therefore needs a kind, understanding approach.

Goldie is an Irish Draught–bred mare, recorded with the Irish Draught Horse Studbook, and comes from proven, traditional lines known for temperament, substance and ability. She is by Silver Granite, a Class 1 Irish Sport

Prince is a absolutely stunning horse who certainly has the wow factor, he is a true to type lightweight show hunter / working hunter, who has been successfully shown in hand with previous owners, achieving a score of 8.5 as an eventing foal, and being licensed as a stallion. He was gelded at approximately age 3 after collection for stallion AI.

Prince loves to jump and is very bold, He would make a top class ridden hunter/ working hunter horse/ amateur event horse.
We feel he would also excel in many other areas too, he has been doing bits of dressage the last few years with his current owner, but we feel this discipline on its own is not for Prince, he would enjoy a home were he can get to do bits of everything.

He does require a confident forward thinking rider and is therefore not considered to be a novice ride.

He has excellent ground manners, is good to box (7.5t, 3.5t, trailer), shoe, & clip.
