Mattie is a 15.3hh, just turned 13yr old (May 2012) fully registered KFPS Friesian mare with great bloodlines.

Mattie is lovely to school and is at Elementary level, working towards medium. Her half pass is a work in progress and she has established leg yields, shoulder-ins and mediums in trot and canter, and simple changes.

She is incredibly sweet on the ground and is super easy to do in all ways.

Mattie’s great to clip, fab for the farrier and the dentist too. She is up to date with all vaccinations, dental check ups etc and is currently barefoot. She loads and travels well in all vehicles (trailer, 3.5t and 7.5t) and has no vices.

We have competed (unaffiliated as I prefer taking part in clinics) and also enjoyed forest hacks, beach rides, farm rides, fun rides, camps etc. She is incredibly safe and sensible, but still a lovely forward ride. She will go in front or behind, alone or in a huge group. I take her everywhere on my own and she's patient stood by the box with no silly behaviour.

I'm happy to share her full vet history and provide references from instructors, dentist, farrier, physiotherapists, and others who know her well. She has stayed sound and healthy over the past 9 years. I’m in touch with her previous owner and breeder too.

Genuine reason for sale as I'm now focusing on eventing my other horses.

Very kind bay mare , was broken as a youngster but due to personal circumstances never been produced fully out in the competition world .

Has always been well handled and stabled but not been in work. Penny is a TIH. She will excell at any discipline. She is good in a herd ( currently with 6 others of my own hence the sale). Good to shoe and clip. She is very willing and you can do everything with her. Can be handled, loaded, clipped, shod all alone. Most days I am on my own so these are essential at my yard.

She is currently show jumping clear over 1m and will go up the ranks in time. She has competed over open hunter trial courses and there is nothing she won’t jump. She has schooled all over the country and is very brave.

Type that you can jump up and just go. Ready to continue eventing / show jumping

She attends riding club weekly and competes weekly. She is good on the road and in traffic very honest. If something does scare her she wont react badly.

I haven’t the time to bring her to her full potential as I have 6 others but I have taken her off the market due to time wasters and bargain hunters and don’t mind doing again. She is worth her weight in gold and will not be given away. She’s a family pet at the moment so forever home is wanted
