Star, 16.1HH 2017 Thoroughbred Mare

Some horses are simply easy to love, and Star is exactly that kind of mare. The sort who quietly follows you around the yard, stands patiently while being fussed over, and gives you the feeling that she genuinely wants to be your partner.

Currently based at one of our race yards in Ireland, Star is now ready to leave racing behind and begin the next chapter of her life with someone special. She is clean, sound, and free from vices, with a kind, sensible temperament that makes her a pleasure to have around in every way.

Under saddle she is safe, willing, and uncomplicated. She hacks happily, enjoys her jumping, and would equally suit someone wanting to hunt, show jump, pleasure ride, or simply enjoy a lovely all-round horse. She has the brain and attitude that so many people search endlessly for in a Thoroughbred.

What truly makes Star stand out is her nature. She is incredibly sweet and caring, gentle around children, calm around other animals, and the type of mare who settles into a family environment beautifully. She isn’t sharp or difficult. She is honest, affectionate, and wants to please.

Star has all the elegance and athleticism of a Thoroughbred, paired with the temperament people dream of finding. She has so much more to give, and we would love to see her find a forever home where she can truly shine outside of racing.

LOVELY GENUINE ALLROUNDER

Approx 16.1 5yrs old Irish Sports Horse, full breeding recorded .
Lottie is a beautiful quality horse with the most exceptional temperament! This kind, genuine mare is the sweetest girl and has such a lovely attitude to her work. She is an absolute pleasure to have on the yard and to do anything with. She has an old head on young shoulders.
Lottie has three beautiful floaty paces and a brave athletic jump, staying in a lovely balanced rhythm.
She has competed in unaffiliated/training shows Show jumping, hunter trials etc and has hunted a number of times.
She hacks alone and in company, in open spaces, country lanes and is used to farm machinery and lots of dogs running around her.
She loads and travels well in a 3.5t and 12.5t. The previous owners had a trailer. She will stand and wait patiently munching away on her haynet on the box when out and about at different venues.
She is snaffle mouth for everything.
She has not shown any Mareish traits to date.
She happily lives in or out and turns out in a mixed herd.

A really super fun mare who would suit someone looking for a genuine, honest fun horse for pony club, riding club, grassroots eventing and just a lovely best friend to enjoy.

Red isn’t just stepping out of racing he’s stepping into his next story and he’s ready to make it a good one.

There are horses who run because they’re trained to, and then there are horses like Red… the ones who give. The ones who show up, race after race, ears pricked, heart wide open, always finding a little bit more when you ask. Red has been that horse for us. A yard favourite. A winner in every sense of the word.

Now, his racing chapter has closed, not with a question mark, but with a full stop and a proud underline. And what comes next? That’s where the magic is waiting.

Red is at the very beginning of his retraining journey, like an athlete swapping stadium lights for open fields and coloured poles. He’s already showing a natural curiosity for his new job he’s popped a fence, enjoyed it, and is starting to understand that life after racing is just as exciting, just written in a different language.

He’s a forward ride, the kind that makes you feel alive the moment you pick up the reins, yet always ridden in a snaffle and never strong. Yes, he can feel fresh, think of it as enthusiasm rather than edge but there’s no malice in him. No tricks, no temper. No rearing, no bucking. Just a willing horse who enjoys having a job and thrives on direction.

Because of where he is in his retraining, Red will suit an experienced rider, someone who sees not just what he is today, but what he’s quietly becoming. A RoR prospect with real substance. A horse with a proper engine, a kind brain, and a work ethic you can’t manufacture.

Demi is a beautifully put-together young mare by Damian (AES stallion), an Anglo European Studbook stallion with an impressive pedigree that includes top showjumping lines such as Quick Star and Indoctro. With her excellent breeding, kind temperament, and straightforward way of going, Demi is a quality allrounder suited to a variety of riders and homes.

On the flat, Demi is working well in the school with three established, balanced paces. She maintains a soft, consistent contact and would confidently go straight out at prelim level, where she is sure to produce an accurate and obedient test.

Demi has attended a number of training shows and clinics, most recently competing in a British Novice on a ticket at Elms Farm. She is an easy, willing ride who is unfazed by fillers and always tries her best, happily jumping from a missed stride. Currently jumping comfortably around 90–100cm, she shows plenty of scope to progress further.

She has also had a taste of cross-country, confidently jumping logs, ditches, and other natural obstacles. Brave and genuine, Demi takes everything in her stride and would be well suited to eventing.

Out hacking, Demi is reliable both alone and in company. She has been exposed to farm and village traffic, is sensible in open spaces, and does not become strong or excitable.

Demi is easy to handle in all respects—good to catch, clip, load, and shoe. She has a friendly, affectionate nature, is not mareish on the ground, and is a pleasure to have on the yard.

With 2 outdoor arenas available and 2 indoors that can be booked for lessons, whether you are dressage or jumping specific, there is always an arena available to you, with a BS course outside on a weekly basis and a full 20 x 60 dressage arena set up in preparation for fortnightly shows. As a livery, you are able to take advantage of these competition facilities, as well as having a show centre literally on your doorstep.
