2023 small Sports Horse filly to make 15/15.1hh.

Home-bred to make a higher-end RC all-rounder, Widgeon Hill Ceilidh was awarded Gold at the recent British Breeding Futurity as a part-bred native. Despite being only two, she is already an SPSS graded mare, on top of the SPSS Youngstock Evaluation Premium status she was awarded as a yearling.

Her breeding is unique: Ceilidh is by the Highland pony Balmoral Sport, out of the SPSS-graded and ApHC registered mare Chamfron Chipita, who is herself from very versatile American Appaloosa and Quarter Horse bloodlines, including a good dose of TB.

Her dam was never competed consistently or frequently due to my lack of time and energy, but nevertheless evented up to 90cm, did SJ, arena eventing, hunter trials, County-level showing (spotted and Foreign breed classes), dressage (only to Novice but she would easily have gone further with a more competitive rider than I), was borrowed for PC dressage teams and was also approved for para riders to use in RDA dressage competitions. I anticipate that Ceilidh will be capable of doing the same range of activities, and more.

I originally bred Ceilidh as a retirement pony for me, but have reluctantly accepted that as a quick-thinking, athletic and intelligent small sports horse she is far more suited to an experienced amateur competitive rider (maybe a mother/teenager share?) to produce and later excel in RC competitions, than the laid-back more-whoa-than-go conveyance I need in the hope of riding into my 70s!

The right home is very important. I am looking for a home experienced with youngsters and groundwork: Ceilidh needs a kind, consistent handler who can reinforce respectful boundaries. She is a friendly and affectionate filly who comes to call, loves being groomed and pampered, and once she feels secure in you as a leader she tries very hard, and learns very quickly. She needs a “doing” home, she will not be the kind of horse you can only ride once a week (another reason she isn’t right for me) and I have a strong preference for a home who intend to compete in their chosen discipline(s) when the time comes. I am also keen that she has a home that can offer her daily turnout with equine friends.

Ceilidh could also be a versatile broodmare providing a total outcross to produce either sports ponies (I’d love to see what she would produce crossed to a Welsh Section B), capable RC all-rounders, or she could be crossed to a TB or warmblood for a larger, higher-octane sports horse with a dash of hardy sensible native pony blood.

With regard to colour genetics, Ceilidh is a bay dun appaloosa: any offspring would have a 50% chance of being spotted and a 50% chance of being dun (higher if bred to a dun and/or spotted stallion) and would be eligible for an SPSS passport. Please note, she has one blue eye and one brown eye so if you can't stand horses with blue eyes, swipe left!

? Registered and passported as a part-bred Highland pony
? Eligible for over-stamping by the UK ApHC as a part-bred
? SPSS graded in the main mare studbook
? Up to date with everything, good to trim feet, groom, bath, lead, tie, load, travel, catch (have I forgotten anything?)
? Happy to stand on the lorry at events
? Been to several large county shows and behaved beautifully, including at the Royal Welsh as a yearling
? Has been for a few hacks in hand with a ridden horse and behaved very sensibly
? Used to dogs, cats, and poultry underfoot; has been turned out next to sheep and cattle
? Lives out 24/7 (rug optional), but stables happily prior to shows and events.
? Open to vet, and I am happy to supply her veterinary soundness mark sheet from the recent Futurity (or find it in her Whickr advert!).

17.1hh, 3yo, Stallion - Warmblood x Shire x Akhal-Teke

A once in a lifetime opportunity - His dam is a Shire x Warmblood; His Sire is Prince of Ashes - Akhal-Teke x Warmblood.

Emperor of Ashes needs no introduction, he has got absolutely everything! His presence & his movement are just to die for, he looks like something out of a fairytale & his coat shimmers in the sun like a mirror. He floats like he’s galloping on the sea. This is only his second time over fences and he already thinks he can jump the moon with fantastic bravery and great technique already. This horse will be able to put himself to anything.

He is unique, and the only reason I am selling him is because I already have a lot of his relations and I can’t keep the fourth stallion. So it is with great regret that I am selling him, but somebody could have a fairytale of a dream with this super special boy.  (His dam, his sire & his siblings can also be seen.)

Billy’s sire ‘Crown’s Ace of Pearl’, known as one of Europe’s best showjumping horses, already has a huge social media following - not just as a talented stallion under his International rider Ben Thomas-Cook, but people also flock to Ace’s social media to watch him being jumped by Ben’s daughter, Ivy, who has ridden him since the age of 6. As well as his undeniable talent, Ace has a gentle and trainable temperament that is phenomenally rare in a breeding stallion.

Stallion AI said this about him, “Crown’s Ace of Pearl has everything you could ask for in a stallion: looks, bloodlines, athletic ability, temperament, trainability and conformation, characteristics inherited by his progeny”. He has also been described as having “perfect conformation”. Ace has proven himself competitively, showjumping 1m 40, he has also evented BE Novice and successfully competed in Working Hunter classes. Ace’s bravery and stability over all types of natural fence and terrain are stylishly displayed in his social media. So far, Ace has produced 4 licensed stallions and his golden babies can now be seen excelling in all spheres.

As well as having a famous Dad, Billy’s beautiful Mum, Sahara’s Dawn Break (Shara) is by the renowned eventing stallion Dunhill Desert Storm (also out competing at BD medium), a grandson of the International Selle Francais showjumper Didi, who under Michael Whitaker achieved 12 wins and 12 other placings out of 13 international shows. Desert Storm’s sire Dundee represented Great Britain under showjumper Geoff Luckett but his breeding career was cut short due to fertility issues.

Whilst Shara’s sire line is full of jumping horses, her dam is by the Oldenburg stallion Rubioso N, who under Ingrid Berger was reserve National Young Dressage Champion in Germany at only 5 years old. His Sire Rubinstein (Shara’s grandsire) had 40 wins at Grand Prix and competed for Germany in the 1996 Olympics. Rubenstein, known in the dressage world as “stallion of the century” died at only 14 years old but he has sired 89 State Premium mares and 66 graded stallions including Rohdiamant, Rotspon and Royal Diamond.

Billy’s family tree is full of talent, both between the boards as well as over fences. His pedigree makes Billy an exciting prospect for eventing or he could equally fulfil a jumping or pure dressage role, with his 3 expressive, correct paces and elastic movement.

Equally so - Billy has all of the correctness, presence and Wow factor to make a top class horse in the show ring, perhaps as a Riding Horse or LW Working Hunter, if that’s what he is chosen for.

We expect Billy to mature to around 16.1 hh. He is sure to turn heads wherever he goes with his unique smoky buckskin coat.

Billy has an incredibly gentle, loving and easy-going personality. He is not sharp or silly, he loves fuss and is equally intelligent and easily trained, making him ideal for an amateur rider. An absolute pleasure to handle day to day - whoever becomes Billy’s human, will also be his best friend.

Having been born on a busy livery yard, Billy is is well used to cars, tractors, dogs and children.
The videos attached were taken of Billy at 5 weeks old, also his first time in our arena. He is not phased by anything, he loves to jump puddles, just for fun!

Billy is handled daily and he’ll be halter trained, wormed, foot trimmed, microchipped, passported and ready to go in November. Viewings most welcome.

A £1000 deposit secures Billy’s sale, with the remaining balance due by 1st November.

“Torelli” is a striking 2 year old gelding with an athletic build. Top showjumping lines include Douglas, Indoctro, Nimmerdor, Darco, Capitol I…only selling due to needing space before the fall.

He has a lovely kind character, still a bit shy but very easy to handle. Will be someone’s horse of a lifetime and also loving pet.

He’s been handled including for the farrier, on the walker and grooming. He is a leggy gelding, grew quite a bit as a yearly and still in need of a touch of condition but will be an absolute stunner in the end.

Invincible BTE (Vinne) - stunning 2024 colt - Hello Vincent x Namelus R x Spartacus TN. Has been gelded.

Vinnie is a beautiful model of a modern showjumper for the future. He is very friendly, quick to learn and incredibly athletic, with 3 beautiful, balanced paces. I have no doubt that with the right owner he will make a serious horse for top level sport. He is a big, blood type horse that will make over 17hh. Has been well handled.

His sire, Hello Vincent was ridden by Scott Brash and during his career won multiple 5 * Grand Prix's including: 1.60m World Cup in Lyon, 1.55 CSIO5* Aachen and 1.60m CSIO5* London, Olympia Grand Prix. His first stud season was in 2023, making him an exciting new breeding stallion for the future.

Dam line: Vinnie's mother Kamilia is sired by Namelus R. Namelus R has sired 13 licensed stallions, including Tolan R, Arthos R, and Dexter R, Nintender, Baldev, Vegas 55, New Cuba Libre, Gamelus R, and H.Amelusiena. The most important thing, however, is the sporting achievements of Namelus R offspring; 33 of which have competed at 1.60m level, including H&M Christian K, Triple X III who competed at the London Olympics under Ben Maher and Captain Cooper.
Kamilia's damsire Spartacus TN under Marco Kutscher won the Oslo Grand Prix in 2012 and came second in the Leipzig and Geneva Grand Prix. Spartacus' pedigree is brimming with performance genes: sire Stakkato is the foundation sire of the Hanoverian Verband and has produced an endless list of international top horses in recent years. Grandfather Grannus is considered one of the best stallions on the dam's side and still appears in the pedigree of many show jumping champions at the highest level.

Viewings welcome - no timewasters.
